We had a great experience going on a Saturday night while visiting Macon, Georgia. Our first salad had a little bit of wilted spinach in it, and we brought it to their attention. They immediately made it again, and it was awesome. The buffalo chicken pizza was so good. And the service was very attentive and timely in terms of how quickly we got our food.

Me and my husband went here for date night on First Friday and we had the best time. Super chill atmosphere with great service. We got a couple of beers, a charcuterie board and a pizza! The food came out fairly quick and was delicious!

Stopped in for a quick beer and appetizer. The selection cannot be beat for draft beer. And they were steady mixing up cocktail drinks also. We got a German pretzel with beer cheese and I think this beer cheese was made by George Clinton himself.....it was VERY FUNKY!!!

Excellent pizza, great beer and wine, and cool vibes. We went with our own creation for pizza - mushrooms and artichokes and it was delicious. Thin crust and great sauce and cheese with a generous portion of toppings. I was challenged by the wine selections since they do not offer traditional Italian wines. I went with a glass of Caricature Red Blend and it was perfect. There are so many choices of beer - so I am sure the selection is sure to please. I love the vibe inside. If you prefer people watching, there are sidewalk tables. The service was great and we did not wait long for anything.

Great made to order pizza and awesome selections of beers. I tried the flight of some local beers and my pizza was fresh and very delicious! You have to try the blackberry pizza so so refreshing and delicious! I love that we got to choose or build our own pizzas I got two pizzas to go: San marzano sauce Mozzarella Prosciutto and bacon Olive oil drizzle. San marzano sauce Mozzarella Prosciutto and pepperoni Pesto drizzle. Oh and staff top notch! Super friendly

I love this pie so much I took 3 pics.

Cool Chill and Yummy. Find a beer, find a seat, drink 2 more. Order pizza and be happy. What a chill place and the pizza in my opinion is perfect. Eat the pizza as soon as you pick it up. So thin, so crispy. I got the good cook or it's always great. Go downstairs to the cellar to get your food. Stay down for a conversation or another beer and then head back up to hang out. Great place. I'll be back for sure

Nice place with a decent selection of beer and wine. They've even got some hard-to-find selections available. I really liked the outdoor seating area, which was nice on a cool evening. I was the only one actually inside when I visited on a Wednesday evening, so the service was just fine!

We went over to Macon this weekend to catch the cherry blossom fest and found this gem of a place. My husband and I love some proper thin crust wood fire pizzas paired with beer/ ciders. This place is so chill and easy. It was both human and dog friendly. It's self order and it didn't take too long to get our pizza. The pizza was so good, I wish we had this place back home in Atlanta. I had the seasonal cider and my husband had a lager of his choice. The beer menu is extensive so take your time choosing, no rush. Everything was reasonably priced. They also sell merchandise, tee shirts and tumblers sort of thing. I will always revisit this place when in Macon. Loved it !

You have to come to Just TapD. I came here with my good buddies and had some beers. Janice and Addison were incredible. We got artichoke dip and garlic knots for the table. You have to try the knots with pesto! Love coming here and enjoying my evening. 5 big booms from the crew

AN EXPERIENCE NOT JUST A MEAL…read more This place is located in a kind of seedy downtown area of Macon. We walked in and the vibe throughout the place won me over instantly. When the staff seem to enjoy their jobs and working with each other as well, chances are you have a winner. We were seated immediately in a cozy booth with floor to ceiling graffiti. The place just oozed character! We were told that at times in the loft above our heads they had live music FYI. The waitress was friendly and on point. We never found ourselves waiting to order or for drinks, etc. The food was great. We started with the solid gold soul rolls which were tasty. I'd say 2-3 people for this app. My wife had the hot pig and fig which she enjoyed. She wanted something a little light and it was perfect for her. I ordered the Dr John Burger. The cook forgot my bacon . No bueno. Our waitress was game and was quick to bring me bacon to complete the burger. It was well cooked and the flavors were excellent so all was good. Our companion enjoyed her food as well. We all left full and happy. And, yes I would return and I recommend trying them yourself.

We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were a great appetizer--crispy, flavorful, and a nice way to kick things off. For our entrées, we had the fish and chips and the smoked turkey sandwich. The fish had a nice crispy batter, and the smoked turkey sandwich was tasty and satisfying. My only disappointment was the fries. They were a bit soggy and lacked the crispiness I was hoping for, especially with the fish and chips. A crisp, hot fry would have taken the meal to the next level. Overall, the food was good, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Tonight we made our way to The Social Goat in Covington, Georgia. Before we even get to the food,…read morethis is the kind of restaurant that has a personality all its own. Goat-themed artwork is scattered throughout the restaurant, including some fun paintings that immediately caught our attention. The atmosphere feels more like a cozy tavern than a traditional taco restaurant, with dark wood, booths, and a comfortable setting that invites you to settle in and stay awhile. One interesting piece of local history is the building itself. We learned that in 1906, this building housed an antique market. Think about that for a moment. If someone was selling antiques here in 1906, some of those "antiques" might have been from the 1800s. More than a century later, the building is still serving visitors, although these days the focus is tacos rather than antiques. Covington itself is worth mentioning. The city has become known as Georgia's Hollywood of the South, with more than 100 movies and television productions filmed here over the years. Fans of The Vampire Diaries and Sweet Magnolias will recognize many locations around town. If you're visiting the area, there is plenty to see before or after dinner. Our server for the evening was Jordan, who provided friendly service throughout the meal. The menu features eleven different taco varieties, which immediately created a dilemma. Narrowing the choices down to just three was not easy. We ultimately chose the Fried Fish Taco, the Philly Taco, and the Sesame Ribeye Taco. The tacos are available as a trio, allowing you to sample three different varieties on one platter. The meal also came with chips, salsa, and queso, making it easy to share and compare flavors. Let's start with the Fried Fish Taco because it ended up being my favorite of the three. The fish itself had excellent flavor and was cooked just right. The taco was topped with a sauce that brought a unique flavor to the experience, and the crunchy slaw added texture that worked beautifully with the fish. Every component contributed something to the overall bite. This was the taco that surprised me the most and ultimately earned the top spot in my personal ranking. The Philly Taco finished a very close second. If you're a fan of Philly cheesesteaks, you'll immediately understand the appeal. Loaded with shaved ribeye, peppers, onions, and cheese, it delivered exactly the flavors I was hoping for. It was rich, satisfying, and packed with flavor. Sometimes simple combinations work for a reason, and this taco proved that point. The Sesame Ribeye Taco was the most unique of the three. The sesame-soy flavor was bold and immediately noticeable. I enjoyed the flavor profile and appreciated that it took the taco in a different direction than what I typically experience. Rather than trying to imitate a traditional taco, it offered something distinct and memorable. Anyone looking for a creative twist on a taco will likely find this one especially interesting. One thing I appreciated about the trio platter was the opportunity to compare very different flavor profiles side by side. The Fried Fish Taco offered a balance of fish, sauce, and crunch. The Philly Taco delivered familiar comfort-food flavors. The Sesame Ribeye Taco brought a bold and unique flavor profile to the table. Each taco had its own personality, which made the comparison part of the fun. The chips were crisp, the salsa was fresh, and the queso provided a nice complement to the tacos. Combined with the trio platter, it was more than enough food for a satisfying meal. The Social Goat manages to be more than just a taco stop. Between the historic building, the goat-themed decor, the welcoming tavern atmosphere, and a menu filled with creative options, it offers an experience that stands out from the typical restaurant visit. If we return, and there is a good chance we will, there are still eight taco varieties left for us to investigate. The Social Goat Tavern 1115 Church Street Covington, GA 30014

The host are rude and misquote the wait times. Our server was friendly but EXTREMELY slow and incompetent. She came to our table a total of 4 times throughout the meal. Upon being sat, she didn't come to us for over 15 minutes and then we ordered immediately. The food genuinely took over an hour, and mind you the restaurant wasn't even busy at this point because they took so long to sit us. She kept lying about the food almost being out. Then, they brought two of the five entrees and didn't come back to the table for another 10 minutes. We could see in the open kitchen that many staff members were hooting and hollering, rather than running our food, which ended up being cold by the time it came out. Doing everything but their job. My Italian Grilled Chicken Sandwich was nothing special. I was so starving after the wait that anything would've been good, but it wasn't worth the high price tag. Other members of my party complained that their steaks were room temperature and also not as tasty as previous visits. The highlight of the meal was the S'more Desert, but that also took a VERY long time to come out. Like it came out at 10:15 PM and the restaurant closed at 10:00. The other clientele here are also very snooty and rude, which really throws off the vibe. Also PSA: They do not take cash. In the mean time, we were parched due to our waitress NEVER coming to the table. She was so kind but so slow. I had the Steak to eat and it was quite subpar. I've had it before and it exquisite, and tonight it was terrible. The food was also very cold because it was sitting in the kitchen window for so damn long. The only redeeming quality was the Smores Dessert. However, it also took over 20 minutes to come. If you want to dine here, do NOT come hungry and block out your entire evening as you will be here for upwards of 3 hours. I hope your chair is more comfortable than mine was.
