I love how the is a one of a kind place with out of the box ingredients and toppings. It is pretty dark whenever you walk in, just grab a menu and find a seat yourself while you go over the menu, there's also a specials menu that is in picture frames by the register - thought that was pretty cool. Got a regular burger nothing too special, but for a simple burger ingredients were fresh, things were SEASONED! We love big picture burger!!! This place never misses. We love the fried pickles and garlic parmesan fries. They're perfectly crunchy. They have an assortment of OG sauces and they're all delicious!! My boyfriend always gets the maltese falcon burger (it's on their "secret" menu posted on the wall). I got a grilled chicken sandwich this time and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious their chicken sandwiches are as well. Whatever you order, it's sure to be fantastic. I ate here for the first time today with my wife and my 1-year-old son. My wife mentioned hearing about it from her co-workers. When we got there I was pleasantly surprised because this place is a bit like a mystery science 2000 movie theater. They had King Kong playing on a movie screen and the main room. The decorations were all of old, not particularly good movies. For example, there was a big poster of Howard the Duck on one wall near where we sat. Anyway, the ambiance was super quiet just like being in a movie theater. Maybe this was because of the theme or maybe because the average age of the clientele was in the upper 60s. It is still a very niche and cool idea though. I ordered whatever the regular burger is called. My wife ordered a burger called The godfather. Honestly, my wife is more of a hamburger person than I am so we have varying opinions. Both of our burgers were good. But I don't like thick patties so I didn't really enjoy mine as much as she did hers. The food took forever so I would suggest not coming here super hungry. My wife and I were third and fourth to walk in the door and didn't get our food for close to to 30 minutes, which I feel like is a long time for hamburgers and fries. Because of how quiet this establishment is, any noise that our son made made us feel uncomfortable. He wasn't loud or fussy but he got excited a couple times while we were waiting and we found ourselves shushing him. We waited so long that we ended up grabbing to go boxes and taking our food out as soon as it came to the table. All is the servers were nice. To be honest, I probably won't come back here because I generally only go out to eat with my family. No one said anything to us but I felt like this isn't a great spot for kids my son's age. This place was amazing I'm still blown away by how great the food, staff, and atmosphere is. We where on the way back to Statesboro went to Publix and just happened to see Big picture burger. I stopped by on my way back to work and the young lady at the counter was very nice and let me know it would be about 15 min. the place has a mid size dining room with movie memorabilia all over the place. These guys are doing it right with the movie theme; I like all the movie memorabilia around the restaurant, and playing "bad" movies on the monitors. Maybe could've gone with some cool classic rock or movie soundtracks for background music, and just have the movies as visuals. But overall, they have honed in on the theme, and I'm digging it! As far as the burgers, they're good, and the quality is good, however, I don't see me writing home about them. I don't know, maybe the price is influencing this review, because my burger standard is based off a family chain in the West Coast, (you can guess who they are) and I will pay significantly less for a double double. Stopped in for quick burger after seeing the great reviews. The burgers here are amazing. The inside is small and quaint with retro decor of old movies and pictures on the walls. I believe the original King Kong was playing on the projector. Nice touch. With the movie playing it was very quiet inside, we brought our one year old and felt like we were disturbing the atmosphere :( no fault to the establishment. I really like this place. The food is yummy. The service is good and friendly. The environment is fun. It is decorated with a plethora of movie paraphernalia. And they have bad movies playing constantly to add to the ambiance. The food is of the greasy burger joint variety. The burgers are hearty, delicious and cooked to order. I LOVE the psycho fries. Psycho like the movie. A lot of Their specialty items are movie themed, like the Jaws burger or the Krull burger. I know they do takeout and delivery, but I've always dined there. I imagine the fresher the better as a lot of the food is deep fried. At this time of COVID, they are still seating in the smallish dining room. I cleaned and had to bus a table so we could sit... after I asked for a cloth to clean the table no one came... when the bus boy did come out (10-15 min), he cleaned the other tables not ours I couldn't tell if he was giving me stink eye, likely tired from a long Friday shift... I was hungry and on date with my hottie, so I was willing to clean an area for us (first world problems).... Customers have to order, pay & tip first. I should've waited on tipping; service was not great (a wee slow and dirty table), but the burger was great. I'm mostly sure I was getting the stink eye . Although I always enjoy my burger here, I was highly disappointed when I tried to call my order in before driving the 20 minutes from Perry. There was never an answer so I drove to the place. When I got there I told them they needed to check their phone because it wasn't working. I was told that when they are busy they shut off their phones. Of course, this went to my writing to the company and still have not heard back from them. So obviously, they don't care about customer service. Also I waited another 20 minutes for my food, so 40 minutes and I still had to drive home with the dood.
