We had mediocre experience at Longhorn. Let me say first that it was Father's Day, and the place was super packed and extremely busy. Everything was great until the steaks came. The appetizers were really good, the service was pretty good, and everything was going great, but they undercooked both of our steaks and took them back to bring them up to temp, but they never taste the same once they come back, also they were still undercooked. so the main component of the meal was a fail, which is the disappointing part. My outlaw ribeye was undercooked, as was the porterhouse my wife ordered. they executed everything wonderfully until the most important part of the meal was served. The place was overcrowded and loud, which is to be expected on a holiday I guess. I would love to come back and give them another shot, but it's disheartening when they drop the ball on the most important part of the meal. read more

LongHorn Steakhouse has become our go-to restaurant for business meetings. We've hosted many dinners here with clients visiting from out of state because it's a great place to have a conversation. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is comfortable without being overly loud, and the waitstaff has always been friendly, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, the one issue that continues to stand out is the cleanliness of the restrooms. During our visit this past Monday, the women's restroom was in very poor condition. There was tissue and toilet paper scattered across the floor, and both hand towel dispensers were empty. I used the restroom before dinner and again at the end of our meal, and nothing had been cleaned or restocked during that entire time. A clean restroom says a lot about a restaurant's attention to detail. When you're bringing business clients to dinner, it's disappointing to have that be part of their experience. I genuinely enjoy dining at LongHorn and would like to continue recommending it, but this has become a recurring issue that needs more attention. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback because the food, service, and atmosphere deserve better than the impression the restrooms leave behind. Food is great! The wait staff is amazing and so nice. Why three stars, you ask? The bathrooms are terrible. Paper towels and toilet paper on the floor, and absolutely no paper towels in either towel holder. However, I ordered a Ribeye and I was pretty sure I was served a NY Strip. I even asked our server and he assured me my steak was a Ribeye, although it looked identical to the two NY Strips our friends ordered, it looked nothing like any Ribeye I had ever made or eaten. Wrapping up the steak was perhaps the worst I've eaten. Gristle and unchewable with most every bite. I discarded 1/4, ate 1/4, and left the other half. I would have sent it back but did not want to be "that guy" while we were out with friends. My wife said her chicken was very salty and didn't eat her entree. We have visited Longhorn a few times, and the quality has been quite solid. This time, I believe I had the tastiest bone-in ribey of all these visits; it was perfectly prepared to my liking, and it just melted in my mouth. It did not need additional tuning as it all was already in balance for the taste buds. Accompanied by simple steamed broccoli and side salad (to ensure there was enough space reserved for the actual meat), I did not find any reasons for even minimal complaints. The Texas-style decor reminds me of my travels to Austin, and the service was courteous and efficient. When craving a thick, fire-grilled cut, I'll remember this experience. read more

We had the Parmesan crusted artichoke dip with the most amazing oniony flavored pita chips , next grilled New York steak , cooked perfectly medium rare and the flavors were very precisely rubbed on . Friends, I have driven past LongHorn multiple times over the years but never stopped! Well, that was a HUGE mistake. We stopped in to celebrate my partners college graduation and the service was incredible. Dale, our server, made fantastic recommendations and the food quality and quantity DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The restaurant was full of happy conversations and everyone was enjoying the great food, beverages and service being provided. The manager came by and welcomed us in, as it was our first time! We were immediately greeted with a very wonderful young lady, who asked where we'd like to be seated, and led the way to a very dim lit booth next to the bar so hubby could watch the remainder of the ASU game, which he had a perfect view. The ambiance was warm, inviting and clean. We were then approached by a wonderful waitress (Ana I believe) who remained attentive throughout our meal and was easily steered our way when I changed my mind and decided to order the Wild West Shrimp appetizer. I have never been to a Longhorn Steakhouse so I had great expectations. We were seated for approximately 15 minutes before anyone brought us water - we asked for lemon and the lemon never came. We never got refills of our water, even though we were at the restaurant for over an hour. The gentleman seated next to me ordered coffee and it was never refilled although he had wanted more. Service was extremely slow and seemed chaotic. We're served bread but no butter. Food also took a long time and was just okay. I doubt I will go back. read more

My filet came out slightly overcooked and Hubby's ribeye was slightly undercooked - so we switched. No big deal. But the flavor was definitely lacking. Came to dinner for my mom's birthday. She wanted a lowkey steak night and thought Longhorns would be good. We had an absolutely awesome night and dinner. The food was delicious, everything we ate was awesome. I especially liked my dish which was the Parmesan crusted chicken and the fresh bread they start you with is so good. My boyfriend and mom had steak and both liked their dishes! However the highlight was definitely our server, Michael B. Michael was such a great server! He was attentive and kept making sure we were all good with our order and with refills. He was super friendly and at the end of the night completely surprised us by bringing out an ice cream birthday sundae for my mom. It totally made her night! She had opted out of dessert because she had felt full but still ate most of the ice cream and was super happy. Michael brought a candle and everything so we could sing to her. It had been a while since we'd been to a Longhorn but we were in the area and hubby suggested it so why not? My one main issue, which I've had at other places too, is that they sat us (a party of 2) right next to a party of about 12. As you can imagine, a party of this size can get loud. I think hosts need to consider this when seating other parties. The restaurant was relatively empty so not sure why they need to seat us all in a cluster. As for the food, everything was good. I had the steak and shrimp combo. Shrimp was delicious, and came over a bed of rice. Steak was cooked well. I chose the loaded baked potato as my side. It was huge! Hubby went with the RH Burger with fries. He said it was very good. Our server was attentive but far from overbearing. I also appreciated that he didn't push us the upsells. This is the kind of service that will bring me back to a place. I also want to mention my beverage. I don't usually drink when we go out to dinner and don't drink soda, so my options are usually fairly limited. I usually get iced tea, which can be hot or miss flavorwise. I went with the peach iced tea and it may be one of the best I've ever had at a restaurant. We like to frequent local restaurants, but for the occasional chain, we'll keep this Longhorn in mind. read more

The downside was that I was told twice my side of Mac & Cheese would be out shortly. It never came and I only realized it on the drive back to Flagstaff. Both of us ordered the salmon and you'd think it would be so-so since this is a restaurant known for steaks and not seafood, but that was not the case at all! We are seafood eaters and have frequented many of the local seafood restaurants around Phoenix and the salmon here at Longhorn was as good if not better than the seafood restaurants we've been to. As far as the sides go, the mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and corn on the cob were all very good as was the bread. I got some takeout here yesterday. It was delicious. I ordered a garden side salad, stuffed mushrooms and chicken wings. The blue cheese dressing was top notch. Better than most "fancy" restaurants. The portions were large - they even gave me a full loaf of bread and butter. The service was efficient. I will definitely keep this on the list of takeout places. Ribeye steak was ordered as a medium well but came out as rare to medium rare. The only taste was some of the char on the meat, I sent it back and opted for the chopped steak.
