Brussels sprouts

The Outlaw steak doesn't disappoint. Longhorn steak is the best steak I have had, anywhere. They know how to get that perfect char on the steak without over cooking. The baked potatoes are usually good but my favorite side dish is the Brussel spouts. These are my favorite side. Salads are always crisp and fresh. My husband loves the loaded mashed potatoes. The bread is usually warm. Staff is always pleasant and prompt without hovering over you. We eat at this Longhorn at least once every 6 weeks

The Unloaded baked potato with no sour cream.

I'm not sure where to begin about this location at Tanger 1 Hilton Head. The food was on par for Longhorn with some minor exceptions such as missing the sour cream on the potato, along with a bit of over seasoning and over cooking of steaks. Medium rare is definitely not medium., but that could have been resting too long while waiting for the rest of the table. However, the problem came from the service. With at least 2-3 runners and 4-5 apparent serving staff on one side of the house it would be expected to have adequate service considering half the back section was empty at any one time. But to start it took 10 minutes to get seated with being asked several times how many people. A few sighs with and attitude 'I guess i will seat you' passed along with a telephone being more important with multiple huddle staff at the front. It was apparent that normal bussing work is a chore too as some tables had dishes left on it for 10s of minutes around us as well as to get the initial drink order. Meanwhile being absent or hanging around POS systems was the normal activity. Empty glasses for extended periods were too much to refill or to get another drink. Oh did I mention a table in the middle of the floor for 6 that is the same size as a booth does not fit 6 just because the chairs touch each other. When the food arrived the normal asking how was your steak ok , or anything else was missed. When brought up we need a drink refill instead of all at once they came at varying times, and my loaded baked potato when opened was missing half then-loaded ingredients. When ordering I had to specify everything on it which I would figure the normal instead of standard as that is what the menu and then was missing largely the sour cream and bacon. When I asked for the sour cream after splitting the potato open it never came. I only remind once and then I left it open and un eaten.... Wait staff couldn't remember and stared at it several times not getting the hint. Bread actually came during our main course as an afterthought. Even more concerning was the treatment difference between differing guests. The table behind us with the same wait staff got all the proper questions and attention but we were left out. It seems that those out of state or anyone different is subject to differing or lesser quality of service at this location and that of any concern is treated with sub par service just as maintaining the establishment. Upon leaving it was noticed that at least every table around us was empty along with several in the back with 3 staff at the front station with over 20 individuals waiting. Not even that current wait staff pushed by our exit instead of waiting for us to pass just to put some bread on the table for service. Poor service, inconsiderate staff, lack of professionalism will have me eat at McDonalds over this Longhorn the next time I am down here for the winter.

We both split a rib eye and potato. Rib eye was tasty and the ambience was just fine.

Cash only. I ordered French toast and scrambled eggs. My husband got the half pound burger and fries. It was delicious, tasted homemade and well seasoned. Fries tasted fresh. My French toast was yummy, with a condensed milk sauce on top and butter on the side. My scrambled eggs tasted as if they were cooked in bacon grease. Listening to Doo-wop was very nice too. You can get there using backroads from 278 by taking Persimmon Street to Scott Way and navigating through the parking lots. While its listed as a diner, it look more like a 1950's Malt Shop. It has checkerboard tile floors, a large countertop and multple tables for 4 people. There's a projected image of a pink Cadillac along with Route 66 signs on the back wall. The service and food were excellent. Once you arrive, you fill out a ticket for the food you wish to order. The ticket is the size of a keypunch card or airline ticket. You put down what you want, your name and the table you're sitting at. They will bring out your food along with a packet of silverware. The condiments and paper towels are at the tables. This is a cash only restaurant. There's an ATM outside. I ordered the corned beef Reuben. The corned beef was very tender and the sandwich was a nice size for $11.99. Some of my party ordered the large breakfast sandwich and another ordered the grouper sandwich which I understand was very good and quite large. I didn't notice a juke box which was probably the only prop missing. They do play music in the background.

***WARNING*** DO NOT DINE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE NICKLED AND…read moreDIME On 30 January 2026, I dined-in as a first-time patron at this establishment. I ordered Scarlet Knight, Fried Mushrooms and French Dip, which overall was good. The problem occurred when I reviewed my invoice and I notice a "Convenience Fee Convenience" of $1.30 unbeknownst me. I informed the waitress that I paying with a debit card versus a credit card so the charge should me removed. The waitress informed the manager in the back and he stated, "that's how we've done and we can't remove the fee. I educated the waitress/manager by law, it's illegal to (1) charge a patron the fee that are using a debit card, (2) the service fee was NOT disclosed or brief to me prior to service and (3) the restaurant doesn't have any signs or language indicating that all patrons will be charged a "convenience fee". The manager was very dismissive and "matter of factly" towards my grievance. This grievance is not solely for me but to protect and advocate for ALL patrons that opt to dine at the establishment. SOLUTION: 1. Create a sign regarding a, "Auto Convenience Fee Charge for ALL Credit Cards" 2. Place a label on ALL menus so patron understand the hidden charge prior to service being render. In turn, the patron have the option to proceed, leave the establish or visit the nearest ATM for cash. 3. Brief all employees to provide a disclaimer to all patrons so their options or rights are taken away. I will be reporting the company to BBB for illegal business practice for forcing patrons to pay a fee that are not required for debit cardholders link: www.verabank.com Search: Convenience Fee
