We were seated fairly quickly on this busy Sunday, and met with friendly service. Hubs was starving so he ordered their corn bread muffin app. and fried squash appetizer to get the ball rolling. The muffins were a disappointment because we don't care for sweet leaning cornbread, but that's our taste preference. The fried squash was a home run with almost a tempura type batter over yellow squash spears. They were fried to crispy golden, the batter stayed on, and the buttermilk dressing was a wonderful accompaniment. I could have eaten the plate full for lunch and stopped at that! Their breakfast and brunch menu is extensive, but I settled on their 2 piece Fried Chicken with 3 sides and opted for mashed potatoes, stewed okra and tomatoes & fresh cucumber salad. Delish! Hubs thoroughly enjoyed his fried pork chop, butter beans, mashed potatoes and creamed corn, also. Their Peach cobbler was a perfect end to a yummy meal. No canned peaches used today! I recently discovered Cahill's Market and it is incredible! The fried chicken sandwich is one of the best I have ever had! It was full of flavor, juicy, and perfectly paired with ranch dressing, lettuce, pickles and incredibly ripe, fresh tomatoes. The atmosphere is nostalgic with beautiful decor that adds to the charm. The service was excellent! Everyone I encountered (from the staff to other customers) was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Even the restroom was spotless, which says a lot about the care they put into the place. I also grabbed four ears of corn to go. They were freshly picked and only 75 cents each! Excellent brunch meal on a Sunday afternoon! This is an active farm with home grown veggies and chickens for eggs and more (maybe)? Because chick. Is certainly a star of the menu! It was for our meal - complete with chicken legs and chicken livers and chicken nuggets asking with some good sides including deviled eggs with homemade bacon bits. We also had Mac n cheese, broccoli casserole, tomato and cucumber salad and green beans. They have great hours including brunch until 3pm on Sundays - and they seat until 3pm, which we were grateful for, as we arrived just prior to 3pm. We called ahead to be sure this was acceptable and we were told with friendly, welcoming voices that as long as we were seated before 3pm, we were welcome - so here we are! Yum yum! Checkered red and white table cloths, chicken pens out back, the garden patch complete with scarecrows and a perimeter fence to help keep the critters out are all featured at the locale! There is plenty of hubbub about this place on the talking boards and review boards - and now we've added our two cents - which reminds me that the prices are really reasonable and the service was fantastic! The fried chicken was hot as a fire cracker - freshly made with a fantasist batter. The livers were outstanding and also served piping hot! Second time was a charm. I was there for lunch with a large group of friends. We arrived around 11:30 which was in between the standard breakfast and lunch menus. This time our server was excellent. He took our orders, made sure our beverage glasses were full and was able to provide separate checks. I ordered the Chicken Cheesesteak sandwich which came out with grilled strips of chicken along with grilled peppers and onions and covered with cheese on a hoagie roll which was smaller than the food it was containing. A large heaping of cole slaw on the side which was excellent. When leaving we noticed they now have a new bar area which looked great. Not very large, but very quaint. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and welcoming, and Marshall (I stopped him to ask his name) one of the young men serving as well, stood out the entire time. He moved efficiently with a constant smile, making sure Cahill guests were taken care of. That kind of energy makes a difference. I started with a glass of orange juice that was incredibly refreshing and delicious. For breakfast, I ordered the chicken and waffles, and wow. The buttermilk chicken breast was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right for breakfast. The waffle was golden and delicious, but the real showstopper? The cheese grits. Absolutely divine, creamy, flavorful, and unforgettable. After breakfast, we walked through the market and headed out back to admire the produce growing right on the property, that's what Cahill's is all about, fresh, local, and thoughtfully done. We've eaten there two or three times in the past three years, on vacation, and the seating wasn't quite that bad: maybe they decided to cram in even more people? 10/14/25 - 5:50pm - party of 2 Two vegetarians heading home from HHI and craving burgers. Yelp pointed us to Cahill's Market, on scenic route along the backside of Bluffton. We sat on the patio surrounded by vines, plants and trees. Lucas was our server and he was charming, energetic and very helpful. We chose the Spicy Black Bean burgers and icy cold Heart & Arrow Hazy IPA's. The black bean burgers will well seasoned and served with provolone cheese and generous slices of tomatoes, thick sweet onions, half an avocado and lettuce. Large pickle spear, fries and some very delicious and very spicy chunky salsa were included. The burgers are huge and so darn good! The meal really hit the spot! We attempted to eat lunch on the outside porch with our two miniature dachshunds, who were in a stroller since one is blind and both are very old, when a staff member ( youngish man) rudely told us "No Dogs"! This is the first time we have made it to Cahill's for lunch. We arrived at around 1 or 1:15 on Saturday and were seated immediately with no wait. (Previously when we tried to come it was at least an hour or more wait.) Of course, I wanted to try the famous fried chicken with homemade sides and it did not disappoint! I opted for mac & cheese, butter beans and creamed corn. And it came with a cornbread muffin, which was a little on the sweet side, which I personally like. (I know this is controversial because a lot of people hate sweet cornbread. I came from a family where one side did sweet and the other side did not, so I like both.) In any case, everything tasted just like my Grandmother's cooking!! Everything was super delicious, seasoned and prepared perfectly! My daughter was in the mood for a vegetarian option, so she got the black bean burger with fries. I didn't try hers but it looked good! We didn't save room for dessert, but I would have liked to try the banana pudding, as I am sure they do that right too. The portion sizes were big enough that we each got 2 meals out of our orders. Service was great and we were thrilled with our food. Definitely will be going back! Loved looking around the little market too after lunch and we got 3 bags of boiled peanuts to take home for later. The peanuts were a little on the small side, but again, they were perfectly seasoned & cooked, just like my grandparents used to make. I have been here a handful of times now and absolutely love it. After parking, you enter a little store before you go into the dining room. The store has lots of goods from local areas, as well as other areas in the Lowcountry. Our group of six was immediately sat on a busy Saturday morning. Stopped back at Cahill's, this time, for dinner. It's now on the list for friends and family. Heard so much about the fried chicken, that I wanted to order it. But I really only like white meat, and I don't really count a wing as white meat. But a breast and a wing would've been too much. So ordered the chicken nuggets, which should've been called popcorn, chicken. While tasty, it was as much breading as chicken. I will know better next time. But it was really OK, because we also split the farm to table plate, which was four different sides. The macaroni and cheese was the best I've ever had. For good reason; it's a funky, cool no frills old barn with lots of tables scattered about, exposed ceiling beams and ducting, some colorful kitschy decor and huge portions of all the Southern classics. Outside it's a working farm with chickens and crops planted in neat rows -- Definitely nothing fancy. The fried chicken is the main attraction here and the Chicken Wagon my wife ordered looks like good bet, since it comes with two pieces of bird and three sides!
