I've used this business several times and have never been disappointed. It's located behind the Arco, at the west end of the work bays. They work quick, and the prices are reasonable. There is a place to sit and wait while they work on your car, but by the time you get comfortable, your car will probably be done. They wore masks and asked people to social distance while waiting. Again, they work so fast that there aren't too many people waiting outside. They do ask you to wait in your car if they are currently smogging another car. I will continue to use this business-they are reasonable and quick. After getting a smog check you can go to the Rosemead DMV to renew your registration via kiosk (never a wait) -if they submitted your info the sticker and registration card will print right there. If not, they will mail it to your address.

This is the best place to get a smog check. You will not be disappointed. This family owned business who do it right and legit. I've been coming here for over 8 years. I bring my gas, hybrid, and diesel cars and never had any issues. They are friendly, informative, and fast. This shop is tucked away between a gas station and an auto repair shop. It's a little small, but don't let that keep you from coming. You will be glad you came here. read more

They told me to call them if i get off work close to their closing time. I called them to let them know I wanted to do my smog check and I should be there by 5:30-5:45. They told me ,the day before, that they close at 6pm. I've been coming here for years and I couldn't believe they would treat a loyal customer like this. I absolutely love this place. The owners are a joy to work with. I bought a car that needed to be smogged because it was shipped from Texas. The test took less than 15 minutes and I was out of there. Fast and competent work, but if you are trying to get your smog check done first thing in the morning, plan on waiting a while. I arrived at 8:30 in the morning, and had to wait almost a half hour for the shop to open. According to a worker in the shop next door, this is a common occurrence. If you advertise that you are open for business at 8:30 am, then you should show your customers the respect of being there on time to take care of them. read more

Poor service and very deceitful pricing. I came here about a year ago after finding them online advertising a smog check for $40 out the door. The work was done quickly and they were friendly at that time. After the work was complete, I received a $10 coupon for my next visit. Now it was time to get a smog check again so I checked around and found some other shops with lower prices but I felt I could trust longden so I called over to get a price. I was told $49.99 over the phone with no mention of a coupon. So I had right over expecting to pay about $40 again with my coupon that I've held onto for about a year and when I get my car in I give the guy the coupon and he says so with the coupon it's going to be $49.99. I questioned him about how he just told me 49.99 over the phone with neither of us saying a word about the $10 off but then he started to have an attitude about things and tried to say that the price on the wall is $59.99 for smog but he was just telling me the discounted price over the phone even though that had never been brought up. This place lives up to the stereotype of not being able to trust a mechanic and so I took my business to another shop that was cheaper and honest about their pricing. read more

I don't usually write reviews on Yelp. I use it for the advice only. But I had to review it because I wanted people to know how great my experience was! Tony was nice, professional, and very easygoing. When I called, he was nice, told me he'd get me in/out in 10 minutes, and he did! I had called 4-5 other stations (recommended by AAA), and they were either rude or didn't seem to want my business. Definitely coming back whenever I need a smog check! First time needing to have my car smog so I turned to yelp. I called a few places to get pricing. While most were equivalently priced, this place had the friendliest customer service over the phone. I asked how long it would take and the owner said 10 minutes. Awesome! After arriving the customer service was equally as great compared to my phone experience. They offered snacks, coffee and water while you wait. Only took about 7 minutes, so it was a bit quicker. This is a family owned shop and the owners seem to really value their customers! If you're in the area and need to get your car smogged this is the place to do it! read more

I probably only been to two smog check stations in my life. I tend to stick with one place if I am happy with it. Coming in, this place is right next to RPM auto and behind the Arco, so it was a little tricky to find, but totally worth it. They super friendly, and are reasonably priced. They are also quick and provide hot drinks for you. If you leave nearby this is a place definitely worth your time. I will be coming here for my smog check needs read more

We were driving down to the place we got our smogs last time, and a few blocks from our home we were pumping gas at an Arco and noticed this Test Only smog test station. I figured hey why not ask how much here as they are pretty much all the same... I was surprised at how friendly the mechanics were and more surprised that they charged way less that the place on Lower Azusa Rd. Plus, we were in and out in like 20 minutes for 2 cars. Last time at the old place we waited over an hour! Bottom line, I'll be going and referring friends here from now on read more

These guys were really friendly! I brought my car in with no wait, and was out relatively quickly with no problems. I chatted with two of the guys there for a bit and they were really nice, and even offered me some car advice and whatnot. I feel bad for not catching their names. Overall had a great experience and have recommended my friends go here. tl,dr: They're professional, friendly, and right behind the Arco on Longden and Myrtle. After been here for few years, I've decided the need to write this review. I don't think there is a better place to get your smog check than this one. I was literally in n out under 11 minutes. After filled out a short form, thought it was a good idea to get a hot dog at Arco at the corner while waiting, but when I walked back, I can't believe the car was done and the guy was waiting with my key. I was upset he didn't give me chance to eat my dog. I have recommend my friends and relatives and they all had great experiences as well. All of their guys are friendly, professional, honest, and efficient. read more

I had my oil changed here and the experience was terrible…read more After the service, the oil maintenance light was not reset and no service sticker was placed on the windshield. When I checked the dipstick myself, the oil level appeared low and the oil was dark with a burnt smell. I returned the next day to speak with the manager (Luis), who insisted the oil had been changed and showed me what he said was a new oil filter installed by the technician (Torres). However, when I expressed concerns about the oil condition and asked if they could redo the service for customer peace of mind, I was told I would have to pay again. The original manager on duty during the service was Mike. What concerns me most is not just the oil itself, but the lack of transparency and unwillingness to address a customer's concern in a professional way. When basic steps like resetting the maintenance system are missed and the oil appears questionable, it's reasonable for a customer to ask for reassurance. Unfortunately, I did not leave feeling confident that the service was handled properly. Luis refused to redo the service free of charge and at this point I realized that it wasn't doing anything by going back and forth. I would recommend customers going somewhere else.

So happy with the service. I would have to say my experience here was better than 99% of my dealings with any services, including restaurants and hotels. Tony should consider a career in the hospitality industry, his customer service skills are exceptional!! My van failed the first test, but I was still content to return knowing that I would be greeted in a friendly, professional manner. And the prices are very reasonable with no coupon scams. I found him on my GPS as I was in Irwindale area. I hadn't even seen him on Yelp. But now that I see his rating, it's no surprise the business has a solid 5 star rating. Really good job - the 5 starts these guys are receiving are well deserved (I was first suspicious of so many good reviews, but now I know why). No thrills, no latte, no plush pillows in the waiting area - just a simple and honest smog check station, with friendly and super-fast service. No reservation required, but be mindful that there may be a queue during lunch time. Tony inspected my car, and he was thorough and discussed with me the typical (and some atypical) reasons why so many vehicles fail smog inspections. More than a "car guy", he's a "people person".
