My family and I have been getting our smog checks done by Tony for several years! I want to say at least 10+ years. We're not from the same city but we make the trip out to him. Tony is helpful, friendly and quick with his services. I always call ahead to ask if he's there and available which is convenient. We've never had any complaints. I highly recommend coming to his smog check shop!!!! Just got my smog check done yesterday and like always it's a pleasure getting my service done by Tony. Thankkk you! read more

Recommended to me by a previous customer. Called first to make an appointment. The guy in charge said, "just come on in, I get there at 9:30 am". He didn't show up until 10:00 am. He supposedly diagnosed what was wrong, and told me what he was going to do. Had it smogged, it didn't pass. He told me, "I didn't tell him what needed to be fixed". What kind of mechanic says something like that? The guy in charge then started talking trash. He was cool when I first met him, but then pulled a Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde on me. The guy in charge is an immature, easily offended Moron! If there was an option for a 0 Star review, that's what I would pick. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

I will definitely come back here again. CALL first, make an appt. Make sure Tony is there before you get there. Service was quick. Prices were great. read more

Duarte Smog - He's got a waiting area set up. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Duarte, California

Fast, professional, and reliable smog check service in Duarte! Tony, the owner, is very friendly and has great energy. I called in to first make sure the shop wasn't too busy. Tony said he can do my smog check immediately and it wouldn't take long at all. From the get-go, he started plugging in the machine to my car and chatted with me and while we were waiting for the results. He also was very transparent and told me a quote right away. He is a dad and has all the great funny stories and tips. He is a all-around great guy and has such a positive, upbeat spirit. I was in and out in under 15 minutes on a Saturday, and I was able to pay for my dmv registration the upcoming Monday. I'll definitely be referring friends and family to see Tony and come back as a annual customer! Thank you, Tony, for taking care of my smog check so quickly! read more

Great atmosphere and quality service at an affordable price. Tony was attentive and helpful.

Thursday I called and made an appt for a smog check for the following day. Tony said he'd open at 9:30 am so I scheduled a 9:45 appt. On Friday morning I arrived at 9:40. The gentleman in the shop next to him said Tony doesn't open until 10 or 11. I explained I had an appt. He called Tony and got no answer. I waited until 9:50 and called him. He was on the road and asked for another 10-15 mins and apologized for being late. I was going to stay. Then I yelped around and found another location in Arcadia who was open and could take my car right away. I'm currently waiting for the smog test to be completed. I won't be back. read more

Great smog check service! Tony was super friendly. Got me in and out of there super quick. Highly recommend!

I was recommended to Tony by a nearby business that replaced my catalytic converter. Tony was so nice even when we realized I brought the wrong car for smog. . My daughter came back a few days later with the correct car and Tony was nothing but kind & courteous to her. His service was great. Tip: FYI, it's easier to access his shop from the back through a small side street. read more

Great place to get your car smogged! Tony is friendly, professional, and quick! I usually stop by every two years without appointment and don't have to wait long. He guides you straight into the garage and gets your smog test going right away. He always remembers me because of my Cadillac. Tony was also wearing a mask 100% of the time, which I appreciated. I noticed other people in the car repair industry don't always do this, even when speaking to clients. So I really appreciated the sanitary feel of the small shop and Tony's respect for others. See you again in two years, Tony! read more

First time customer and found out Tony and I share the same last name no relationship but I call him cousin anyway. He's very courteous got me out as fast as he can. Because of Covid I rarely use my truck so it did not pass the first test. He assured me after driving ~50 miles that my truck will pass on 2nd test and it did. There are at least 3 businesses in the lot so parking can be a challenge but managed anyway with my full size truck. read more

Fast, friendly, and expert service! Not only did Tony do the smog check on my wife's car, but he helped fix the check engine light on my 2004 truck and got it to pass for a great price. I had another place want to charge me over $1,000 to do the work! Tony was waaay more affordable! I would recommend Duarte Smog to anyone and will keep coming here. read more

Tony promised he'd be able to get me in and out quickly, and that's exactly what he did. He even asked if he could check my tires because he thought one looked a little low. So he checked and topped them off and I was on my way. Great service! read more

Tony was super nice and quick with my smog check. It's a little tricky getting to the place.

The best smog check experience I've ever had! I found Tony to be personable, speedy, and professional. So nice and helpful, he even took the extra step (at no extra charge) to check something first that I had mentioned. There was a comfortable place to sit as well, not something I've experienced elsewhere. Note: if the gates in the front happened to be closed, there is access via the alley in the back. read more

Very friendly, and quick service! I made an appointment for 9am the day prior and was out of there in no time. Definitely recommend!

Called around noon on 9/6 and arrived there approx. 12:15. No one was there. The person in the front shop said "Tony" would be back in 5min. Then two women showed up and one of them said she was Tony's best friend, called him and he said he'd be there very soon. After waiting for almost half an hour, I went home. Before leaving I noted that his shop hours were clearly listed as open at 9am. When I showed up there at 9am, the shop was still closed. I decided to get a car wash just east of there and return afterward. His shop was still closed when I left the carwash at 9:25. Several people at both the car wash and the other shops where Tony is located commented that he frequently doesn't show up till 10 or even 11, or leave for lunch at 1030 and doesn't return till sometimes as late as 2pm.
