Just did a smog test with them. As the same as 10 years ago, great service, nice people. I called ahead of time before going and there is no wait for the test. Greeted nicely by the employees, and in and out within 10 minutes. It's situated next to the auto shop, adjacent to the Arco gas station. You can get into the Arco gas station and it will be at the back corner. They do have a few chairs and coffee for you to wait. read more

This place is the best. Came in to smog a car with a dead battery. Other places told me it would take 80-200 miles of driving to reset the computer from a dead battery. Chris told me to drive it around for 15 minutes in traffic and then took it around for 5 minutes and worked some magic on it. Boom. Saved me hours of driving, not to mention the cost of gas. I called around for a smog check and was told, "if you come here now, there's no waiting". Yes! We were about 10-15 minutes away. I'm not exaggerating when I say if we were literally three SECONDS earlier, we'd have pulled right into the bay, but one car slipped in ahead of us. Which was no biggie because as we waited, we witnessed one of the strangest, most entertaining, yet mocking cocktail of weather dances I've ever seen. It wasn't just sudden onset of rain, thunder, lightning and hail. It was RAIN! THUNDER! LIGHTNING! HAIL! You follow? In any event, it was nothing if not entertaining. And mercifully brief. So that car ahead of us was out of there in about ten minutes and *we* were subsequently on our way home in just ten more minutes. Sweet. And then... after three + years of the pandemic (and other issues) resulted in a period of Bart's (my car) immobility... this beloved little 2002 Honda Civic SI hatchback with a laughable 83k miles on him was ready to return to the road.(Why, yes, I AM bragging.) ;o) I can finally exhale. I don't remember the two tech's names who performed this service, but they rock. They were kind, young, personable and about as UNslimy as your usual car guys can be. I've used this business several times and have never been disappointed. It's located behind the Arco, at the west end of the work bays. They work quick, and the prices are reasonable. There is a place to sit and wait while they work on your car, but by the time you get comfortable, your car will probably be done. They wore masks and asked people to social distance while waiting. Again, they work so fast that there aren't too many people waiting outside. They do ask you to wait in your car if they are currently smogging another car. I will continue to use this business-they are reasonable and quick. After getting a smog check you can go to the Rosemead DMV to renew your registration via kiosk (never a wait) -if they submitted your info the sticker and registration card will print right there. If not, they will mail it to your address. read more

When I got my old 1977 van I didn't realize what a headache it would be to smog the thing. The previous owner did a number on the system. I was such a newbie to cars when i brought my van in and over the course of a year I went in a few times to learn what parts I needed to find. What was fun about my experience is I would go in and update the guys in the shop about my journey and they were excited about things and this encouraged me to keep going. After replacing my smog system, and getting a new carb, it was exciting to have the experience of passing my smog test. I had a great experience with these guys. read more

I highly recommend this business. German and Armin helped me. They were both friendly and efficient. You can tell they take pride in their work. They work together and tag team to get you out in a reasonable amount of time. There was a women before me who had to go home and get her wallet and German let me know that I would be after her. I respect that he honored that space in line for her. I waited no more than 20 minutes for the whole process. THEY CAN GET BUSY. Since this place had the highest reviews, I decided to come here. This place is located by the Arco (good place to get gas as the price is cheap). What's the big deal about getting a smog that I need to write about it? It's a boring topic, like getting cavities filled. So I chose this place because it's next door to RPM, a great place my friends raved about, and also this is a Star Smog Station. ( check your DMV notice ) Came on a weekday around noon, pulled in and I'm the only customer. The guy working that day came over and got me set up. Then we started chatting and it turned out to be a cool conversation about many things like when we quit smoking, old cars ... etc. It made the time go by faster. A very friendly man and his lovely female assistant (not sure who she was). My car passed and I was on my way.
