Fish tacos
Valerie G.

The food was served quickly, fresh ingredients, seasoned well. We sat at a table facing the ocean for a spectacular sunset, all the tables have pretty good views. The service was slow to seat us, possibly understaffed. The place was full and all outside dinning. The service for orders was fast once you were seated. I recommend this place for lunch, happy hour and sunset dinner.

Fish tacos, good but the tortillas don't hold up well.

Not bad for resort food. We had dinner one night (kahlua pork BBQ sandwich, hold the gouda please) and fish tacos and a side salad (which they charged us $8 instead of $5 extra printed on the menu). I didn't notice until after we signed the tab. The pork was good, but IMO more southern than kahlua. Also, I should have had them omit the American cheese as well as the gouda. No self-respecting shredded pork sandwich should have any cheese. The fish tacos looked good; there were four but they were small (street tacos) and the tortillas couldn't hold up to the sauce. We had breakfast another day (eggs & breakfast meat) and french toast. The eggs & breakfast meat combo was huge, the scrambled eggs cooked just the way I like them, breakfast potatoes nice and crispy and properly cooked bacon. The french toast came with lillikoi mascarpone, berry preserves and syrup. the LILLIKOI MASCARPONE was to die for. I am not ashamed to admit I licked the container. Dinner service was at the table. Food was served promptly. Breakfast service was order at the bar and everything was delivered to the table in to-go containers. It was packed well, with all the cutlery and condiments included. I'd definitely come back for breakfast just for the lillikoi mascarpone.

Fresh food. Quick service. Love the beach view. I would have like my chicken in my salad to be fresh cooked.

Asian Wings and Fantastic Fries!

Hey, it wasn't bad. We had a snack of Asian Chicken Wings and French fries. The fries were excellent. Crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth on the inside. Wings were good. Beautiful ambiance near the lagoon. Service was very good. My wife had some wine there on several days. 17 bucks for wine from a can. That was a bummer but it had to be done!

From the public Lagoon 4 this is the closest restaurant. I had low expectations but the food was very good and we had great service. Friendly and fast. Our server did great. If course excellent views doesn't hurt. I would gladly return on our next trip to Oahu.

This casual resort restaurant sits ocean side and has offerings for all. It's perfect for poolside delivery or a bite throughout the day. For a poolside restaurant, the menu is abundant with something for everyone which makes this a well-rounded casual choice. The drinks are decent (of course, overpriced) and the food hits the spot. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient. Tip - choose this after a day at the pool and enjoy live music and the beautiful sunset views.

First time here at the Ko Olina in 15 plus years still very beautiful. Though like myself starting to show it's age...This eatery is right on the water with beautiful views and music playing in the background. As far as the food fish n chips were ok at best, drinks took forever to get started with a basic water. It was obvious they are short staffed however the staff was definitely on Hawaiian time. Also the cost for two meals and approximately 6 drinks was $171. Is a bit pricey for pub food. Just saying!

We were staying at the resort and had a credit for this restaurant so we gave them a try... The service was slow and our waiter really didn't check that much on us and the food was very disappointing! I highly doubt we would visit this place again but if we did, we would get something totally different to eat! But other than that, the location was beautiful and perfect while staying at the resort.

We walked over to Longboards (at the Marriott) from our condo next door. The bartender at our place said they make the best Mai Tais. I will say they were better than his! We also got the poke nachos which were good, the addition of fresh jalapeños would have made them great. This sits right on one of the four lagoons, so has a great view. Mariann was super friendly and attentive, we enjoyed her immensely.

The amazing sunset. It was free!

Longboards at the Marriott in Oahu absolutely delivered an outstanding dining experience. The poke bowl was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the tempura fish & chips were some of the best I've had--perfectly prepared with a generous portion size that truly impressed. Service was spot on from start to finish: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Add in the beautiful beachside setting , and it's hard to imagine a better place to relax and enjoy a great meal in Ko Olina Oahu. This not a typical hotel restaurant, much better. I highly recommend Longboards if you're looking for delicious food, great service, and unbeatable island vibes!

Food was amazing and portions were very big. Service was also amazing and the drinks were very good. Only down side is I think I ordered something seasonal because I wanted the recipe for at home and cannot find it on their menu LOL it was that good. Shrimp tempura with stir fry noodles.

Longboards in Ko Olina is the main restaurant my family and I go to when we visit Hawaii at the Marriott. Longboards is pretty generic, as the menu is mainly burgers, fish tacos, poke, fish and chips, fries, etc. They're not gourmet, but it's a good and basic place to grab food if you're staying at the hotel (or any nearby.) It's NOT one of those places where you should go out of your way and valet your car for it, but more just convenient for the area. The service is great as well, though! As most of the people working are happy to help and very nice. The ambiance is also fun, light, can be musical, and even pretty. Longboards is right on the beach and the Marriott has their own man-made part of the beach, which is one of the most gorgeous beaches to exist. It's one of the only options for restaurants for the hotels out here, meaning that you will most likely go here more than once depending on the length of your trip. The drinks are tasty, but a little bit on the pricier side, and the food, like the fish and chips, is crunchy and yummy, but has a good amount of oil and grease that come with it. Not perfect, but a solid choice that I would still recommend if you are staying in the area and want to try a few different dishes from them. Try the poke nachos and a drink next time!

Average...nothing really bad, nothing stellar. This is a bar and grill that's on the premises of the Marriott Vacation Club in Ko' Olina. Good location very close to the lagoon. Outdoor seating. Service was slow. They have the basics here. We got buffalo wings and salad. They were again average, I can't really complain. Typical bar/grill food. If you are at the Vacation Club or spending the day at the nearby beach and you're not looking for something homemade or special, this is your place!

Ask the Community - Longboards

Do they currently offer a happy hour?

Yes; every day, 3-5 pm and 8-9 pm; $3 off draft beer and tropical drinks.

What is included on the breakfast buffet vs the continental breakfast?

There are hot items on the buffet (e.g., eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, bagels, etc)

If we are staying at the resort is this the best option to watch 1 of the NFL games on TV this Saturday? If not what or where would our best bet be? We would hate to miss the game (the game is on NFL Network)

I would watch it from my beautiful room with a fabulous view.

Is there parking?

This is within the Marriott resort, so there is parking in the Mariott complex. There is also general parking in the Ko'Olina "compound" but those go very fast.

When is happy hour?

2 - 6 pm

Can you order food and drinks and eat on the beach instead of the restaurant?

Yes

When do they close?

9pm

Beachfront dining with excellent service, unbeatable lagoon views, and decent food. Overall,…read morethe food was very nice plated and great flavors, but in my opinion every dish was slightly salty, not a deal breaker but certainly could be a little less heavy handed. I would come back again but hope everything would be a little bit more dialed in to make it 5/5 stars. Kambucha squash with miso caramel: great flavor and great texture but sauce was again very seasoned. 8/10 NY strip steak: perfectly cooked medium rare with nice crunchy bits on top and very tender. It was served with a few sauces that while indeed salty again, in this case it worked and the salt let the beef flavor shine. 9/10 would definitely come back again for this. KFC cauliflower: korean fried iteration of cauliflower it was spicy, sticky, crunchy, sweet and definitely was one of the table favorites. 9/10 Sunset roll: standard sushi roll with crab and fish on top. It was good and fresh. 8.5/10 Beef, pork, mushroom skewers: the pork belly was great and the sauce was tasty and not overly salty, my favorite of the three. The beef was decent but did not really compare to the steak we had so having them side by side made it kind of underwhelming. The mushrooms were good but kind of small for the price compared to the others. 7.5/10 Shoyu eggplant: eggplant was plump and tasty with a definite soy sauce taste. Kind of verged on the salty side but considering shoyu was in the name it definitely delivered on that front. 8/10 Shrimp toast: fried Japanese milk bread with shrimp and a tangy sauce and salad on top. Great crunch and flavorful shrimp but again the sauce was verging on overly salty. That said, we all did enjoy this dish and would order it again. 8.5/10 Fresh caught fish with crispy skin over rice with consumme: this dish was the only dish that was not overly salty and I thought was delicious, well balanced and had nice delicate flavors. My one nitpick was the skin did not come out crispy as advertised. 8/10 Scallops: Three scallops served over a cream sauce with rice cakes and salmon eggs. The scallops and sauce were the star and very tasty on its own, however, when eat with the ikura, again it followed the trend of overly salty so I kind of avoided it. The rice cakes were kind of just there and was surprisingly bland considering the aforementioned saltiness. Overall, while the scallops and sauce were nice, the dish was a little underwhelming for the high price and small amounts of scallops ($16 per scallop). 7/10 In summary, most dishes had high and lows, but with the great service and views this place still offers a lot of value, I just think it has some kinks to work out.
