Typical LJS with the usual menu. Nothing bad to say and food was hot and prepared well.

Dirtiest restaurant in town. The soda machine has a thick layer of grime and when you use it gnats fly all over. Seats have crumbs in every crease and wood walls have fingerprints all over. Otherwise it is typical fast food... but the cleanliness is just employee was very nice to us. read more

Is there anyone from corporate who can look into this place? The last time I came the oil tasted rancid. Today I pull up and am told, with no other cars in the drive through that I can see, that "it will be a minute before I'll take your order". 5 minutes of silence later I said" hello? And a female comes on an says ya it will be a minute before I'll take your order. I said it has been a solid 5 min, is there a fryer problem, are you ever going to be able to take it or should I move on. Now she says iit will be an additional 15 minutes before she can take my order, so that's 20 minutes. She can't explain why, there isn't a fryer problem, not another car in the driver through, just so many orders that it's now a 20 minute wait instead of "a minute" . So now I'm stuck here and can't get out, because there is one car at the window. So now it's been 15 minutes, I'm stuck and can't get out of the drive through I have no food. Absolutely awful! The dining area and bathrooms are filthy. The food is disgusting. It's obvious they didn't change the cooking oil for who knows how long. Everything tasted horrible, completely inedible. It wasn't fit to eat. My friend and I literally had to throw it away. I read the horrible reviews about this place and unfortunately I ignored them. Absolute horrific. Zero stars. Everything was filthy and dirty and the food tasted like old grease. Thankfully we didn't get sick but we couldn't eat all of our food. The bathrooms, the floors, the tables, the prep and the work areas were dirty, it didn't look like anyone attempted to clean for months. read more

This place needs a lot of help. The fish I had was good. The chicken plank was dry. Hush puppies were good. Fries were greasey. The Cole slaw was good. The service was ok. The kitchen as much as was visible was a mess. The dining area needed cleaning in the worst way. There was water dripping from the ceiling with no bucket catching the water. The men's room was dirty. Very unappetizing restaurant in every way. Will not return. Thankful for not getting sick from this place. read more

Employees don't want to work, business hours vary from what's posted and know one seems to know what the actual hours are, both ljs and kfc out of product at 8:15-8:30 pm consistently, been there on 3 separate occasions without being able to purchase any food items. Fish stale and overcooked. Hush puppies over fried to baseball hardness. Asked for fresh fries, got stale and cold. Cole slaw was good. Cashier kept mumbling about cheap Chinese receipt paper, cheap Chinese to-go boxes and having a marvelous day. Don't waste your money. read more

I just ate from this Long John Silvers/KFC and both the chicken and fish tasted off. First of all you can taste and smell that the oil they used to cook the fish in needs to be changed out, both pieces of fish had that burnt oil flavor. The chicken seemed to be ok but it was like no other KFC I'd ever had before because the skin was a little dry and the seasoning on it seemed to be put on after it was cooked. Just odd and not as likable. The staff were friendly and efficient and that was about the best thing, other than the slaw, it was pretty good. read more

I'm pretty sure the cooking oil hasn't been changed in a longtime and used for all things together. I used to really like long John silvers but this was just gross. The fish and chicken tasted the same and that taste was old grease. I'm done with LJS. It was good back in the day. read more

Crowded. Friendly counter staff. Had to ask for silverware to cut my fish. Tables needed to be wiped down after people left.

There are several Long John Silver's in the area. This location is the one that does it right. We have been left unsatisfied at other locations and had pretty well given up on them. Me and my husband stopped at quarter after eight and went through drive-through because the light on the outside said that they were open waited for 10 minutes to talk to the intercom for drive-through went up to the window knocked a couple times and they said they were closed. So they need to either put up a sign that the drive-through is closed because there was two cars behind us wanting food also and the person in front of us wanting food also. I understand about the Covid but at least post your hours and your signs especially if the drive-through is closed read more

This review would not be a good one, if not for Patrick (manager) and his team who were kind to help me. I was frustrated because Long John Silver's gift cards, which I purchased locally, cannot be used at either Bradenton, Florida LJS locations or other nearby LJS restaurants. I guess their register systems have not been updated to accommodate LJS gift cards, if they are joint/combined restaurants with KFC or Taco Bell. Unfortunately, there are no stand alone LJS restaurants nearby. Therefore, the money spent on LJS gift cards cannot be used. After going to one Bradenton LJS and being told that they cannot accept the gift card but that the other LJS accepted them, I went to the other LJS on State Road 64 in Bradenton. They too could not accept the gift cards and thought the first LJS I went to did. I felt like I was getting the runaround and started tearing up because it had been a frustrating day and it was just getting worse. All I wanted to do was get LJS for my parents and call it a day. Then along came Patrick. He and his team sympathized and understood my frustration. It seems other customers have dealt with the same gift card frustration. Patrick decided to take care of my parents' meal. I did not expect it and was very appreciative. He and his team were kind and thoughtful. They made a frustrating situation into a blessing. I appreciate all he and his team did for me on 4/18/18. I will frequent this location more often, but will no longer be purchasing gift cards for any of these restaurants. We just left this place, I ordered a fish and shrimp with wedges & cole slaw, my husband ordered 5 piece tenders with wedges, my fish was like jerky, potatoe wedges were like leather, the only good thing in mine was the hush puppies, my husband got mashed instead of wedges, will never go here again. read more
