Was looking for a solid AYCE sushi near my workplace and Sushi Kami over delivered in the best way. First of all, the interior is GORGEOUS and they did an amazing job with the branding. Second of all the service was EXCELLENT, and not just me I saw other tables also receiving on point hospitality. The food was also delicious. The rolls have a solid fish to rice ratio and their tempura batter is light and fluffy. I tried both ramen options and preferred the miso. Their Tom Yum was also delicious. Has its own parking lot. The place is beautiful and the staff is super nice and helpful. I think the best service I have ever had so far in a ALL YOU CAN EAT sushi spot. The food is pretty good. And on par with the expectation for this kind of place. The place is super cute and looks fancy. Has a real attention to detail and good drinks. But let's go to the stuff that I think I was not huge fan of and influenced the score I'm giving. Even though the service was pristine and the waitress was amazing. They have that waste policy that they may charge you if you leave food in the plate. They do have some reasonable rules and gives the option to pay for a to go box so customers can avoid the à la carte charge in case of left overs and they also mention that the left over charge is for EXCESSIVE left overs. But what bothered me was that, what constitutes as excessive? Who decides that? It said 5 or more pieces of sushi, rolls and sashimi, but five of the same? Of over all? What if I ordered and just didn't like the row? Now will I be obligated to pay for something I didn't like? I have to return it ? I was so stressed and worried about not wasting the food that I did not enjoy the experience. I understand why they do that. But... if restaurants have to do that, then I think they should not have an all you can eat option. Because now I am not sure if my bill will be higher than expected, or if I'll have to hold off trying new things cause I don't want to waste. This was a huge negative to me. Everything else was either great or as expected. But the sheer uncertainty and stress of the micromanagement of how much the customers should be able or not to eat took away all the pleasure of the experience. Maybe they could instead of charging for waste have the rolls on and one roll at the time order and instead of ordering a roll that has 8 pieces get just one at the time so customers can order enough to try and not have to waste. But that won't happen cause is more advantageous to make more money instead, while tossing 8 peace rolls to the table. Hope this made sense. Anyhow. First time and last time here. I am vegan so I asked for the sweet potato roll, I noticed that it said it came with eel sauce. I inquired if the eel sauce was vegan, our server looked at me like I had lobsters coming out of my head, he said ugh I don't know, I'm not sure, so I asked could you please find out. Few minutes later, he came back and said that not only did the chef didn't know but the owner didn't know as well. WHAT! you are running a restaurant and you don't know what the ingredients are in what you are serving. What if someone is allergic or in my case vegan. So I asked for it without the eel sauce, the rolls looked like they were put together by a 6 year old very sloppy presentation and the sweet potato was chewy not crunchy like a tempura should be also the aged tofu was barely fried the batter was basically raw. The salad was just lettuce in a swimming pool of ginger dressing. Server did not come by once to refill our drinks or even ask how everything was. This place was a total mess. read more

Wife was craving sushi so we figured we'd go try Sushi Kami for some tasty rolls. Happened to get there with 10 minutes to spare for happy hour and was able to get two beers for $8. Great way to start the evening, then proceeded to order the steak hibachi entree which came with the house salad and clear soup. We also got two rolls, the shrimp tempura and Out of Control rolls. Everything was delicious and quick service! Fun little spot, by far not the best sushi and hibachi I've ever had but good enough. My only complaints were the fried rice was mostly just brown rice and the sauces were very watery. One last suggestion to Sushi Kami is to add little side dishes to put the soy sauce in. Enjoyed lunch here twice recently. There is plenty of parking & inside, the interior is stylish with a very nice bar area & large booths. This place has all you can eat sushi & I saw a table of people ordering a bunch of sushi but I just opted for a signature roll. I started with the yellowtail jalapeño app which was fantastic! I really liked the pickled jalapeño. For my lunch I had the Fancy Roll. Excellent - really enjoyed it. Couple of things have kept me from giving this place 5 stars - the hot green tea needs more tea bags. Two is not enough for the large pot that they give you. The wasabi is not hot & if you want low sodium soy sauce they give you packets. They had regular soy sauce in bottles. It would be a nice touch for such a nice place to provide low sodium soy sauce in a bottle in lieu of packets. read more

This sushi place offers an all you can eat menu. After taxes and tips without a drink it comes to just under $50 per person, so it's on the more expensive side. The ambiance of the restaurant is great - it has a modern Japanese vibe and the service was excellent. The reason I score three points and based off of the food - which was pretty good- but not really authentically Japanese. Most of the rolls make use of lower grade cuts of fish or just fake crab meat. It lacked the wow factor that one would expect. The chicken Karage I ordered was also over fried and dry. Plenty of parking when we arrived. We walked in and did not have to wait for a table of two. The hostess greeted us and we were seated immediately. It was a happy surprise to find out that they have two types of menus: a la carte or all you can eat. All you can eat for $37 is a steal especially for my son. For me it was probably just right or perhaps they saved money. You can take food home, but they do charge you for the box, which makes sense. We both got all you can eat. We got a plethora of food which included ramen, teriyaki, fried rice, tempura, and of course lots of sushi. I got a beer which was a great price. Of course, all you can eat sushi, I was terrified but just FYI to all we did not get sick after eating there. The ambiance was nice, but it was loud. Lots of people were there. We stopped in here last night after work and we're pleasantly surprised. The establishment is incredibly clean and open with nice lighting and a beautiful setup. It was very busy when we went so that's good for a new place. We opted for the AYCE option.. the size of the rolls and sushi was great for the ayce price. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing as well. No waiting around for plates to get picked up and felt well taken care of. The Food: When it comes to any all you can eat, you need to keep your expectations at a reasonable level. Typically, you get either quantity or quality. Very VERY rarely do you ever get both. HOWEVER, Sushi Kami is that needle in the haystack that is able to pull them both off! The appetizers were all delicious, and were the perfect size to allow you to try a variety of things without getting too stuffed. The sushi was the real star of the show though. I'm sure you didn't come to Sushi Kami just for the edamame! The sushi here is OUT FREAKING STANDING! I was truly blown away by the quality of their sushi. For comparison, there are stand alone fully a la carte sushi restaurants that don't even have this level of quality! The fact that the quality was so high was truly mind boggling. I visited this restaurant around 9:30 PM. Shortly after we placed our order, the staff started cleaning the restaurant with a very strong chlorine-based cleaner while customers were still eating. I told the waitress that the smell was so strong it was making it difficult for me to breathe and that I couldn't eat or even drink the beer I had ordered. She said they needed to clean because the restaurant was about to close. The fumes were overwhelming. I was unable to finish my meal or my beer and had to leave the restaurant because I couldn't breathe properly. My friends stayed behind to pay the bill while I left. On the way home, I already started feeling sick. Once I got home, I experienced a severe allergic reaction, repeated episodes of diarrhea until about 4:30 AM, and woke up the next morning swollen and still feeling unwell. I paid for a meal and a drink that I was unable to enjoy because the restaurant chose to use strong chemicals while customers were still dining. This was a very disappointing and unacceptable experience. I hope they change this practice so no other customer has to go through the same situation. read more

The service was good but slow on our to go order it took 1 hour to get our to go order , not sure if the server forgot because they sat a 16 top and a 5 top at the same time we were trying to check out and leave. So we ended up spending 3 hours there instead of a quick bite and home night for school. The decorations was cute and clean . The music kept cutting on and off not sure what happed but if it's that bad just turn it off till you fix it. We will be back and make sure we order to go when we order our food . Got a bottle of sake that was reasonably priced for what's expected from restaurant price mark-up standards. I liked that they had Prosecco on draft because you know that it'll be as fresh as possible compared to not knowing how long a bottle in the bar has been open before getting your pour. But, I find that the Prosecco was on the "flat" side of things, not as effervescent as I'd expect. The food was pretty mid. The teriyaki sauce in my stir fried veggies was watery and not that flavorful; they literally counted the pieces of fried tofu that came on my teriyaki platter (5 total) - as if tofu were an expensive ingredient. My stir fried rice was disappointing - i can make better fried rice at home or even doctoring up pre-cooked fried rice I can buy at Sam's Club. My avocado house salad with ginger dressing was, just borderline okay. I tried the avocado cucumber roll and avocado peanut roll, those were passable. Most of the food tasted like they source from a restaurant supplier instead of putting in the effort of making certain preparations in-house which would make them much better in quality. For the $35 all you can eat I can tell you I was an underwhelmed vegetarian. I visited because my friend loves eating sushi but I'd probably not go back, not even for her. Perhaps if I wanted to drink I might, but very selectively since they don't put much effort into the mixers that go into the cocktails. The only Asian spot in the area that does good cocktails I think so far is Kore steakhouse. At Sushi Kami I'd stick to draft beer, bottled beer and sake. read more

The food was amazing! My group has no complaints about the freshness and quality of the food. Our server Caleb on the other hand was not the best. We sat down and he stopped at his two other tables over three times before even noticing us. At one point it took him 20 mins to come back over and fill our drinks. I understand it's all you can eat and there's food runners, but we believe a server should be a least attentive.
