Really enjoyed Migi Sushi. We were initially heading to another Thai restaurant just down the street a few blocks, Thai Wasabi, and noticed we had been there already and wanted to try this one. Migi was a great choice. I love that they have a lunch menu every single day from 11-3pm. The lunch menu is often only during the week and doesn't include the weekend but this one sure does. They have bento box options, hibachi options, as well as sushi and sashimi specials. I actually ordered a signature roll not included on the lunch menu. My husband did order from the lunch menu chicken and steak hibachi. This included miso soup and salad and choice of fried rice or noodles. My roll, the valentine roll was very good. I asked to have mango sauce instead of spicy mayo and that was fine and there was no additional fee. Our service was excellent and reliable and helpful. Such a great restaurant that we will visit again in the future. Check them out! They have been around for a while but they have updated their inside decor. read more

Very very vey good sushi! Even better service. The restaurant tucked away in a shopping mall but once you go inside, you are exported to one of the coolest sushi bars around Bradenton area. If I could rate less than ZERO I would.......... It's unfortunate that I have to rate this with a less than above average rating because my daughter and I we asked to leave the restaurant because "someone" complained that we were too loud...which honestly you would have to really be focused on our conversation to hear anything we were discussing, we have both dined at this restaurant for a minimum of 2 years leaving great tips and nothing less of excellent reviews and the only thing that I can think of is the fact that we are African American and the only ones of that ethnicity in the restaurant at the time and someone else either didn't want us there. I spoke with the owner who told me to my face when asked "are you willing to loose a long standing customer over this?" His response "YES" not asking us what happened or even concerned from our point of view, I even preferred more food!!!!! It is truely disheartening that you can be discarded after we paid and tipped generously that we we were asked to leave. This has NEVER ever happened to us EVER, here or , New York, Texas, California, Italy, France, Brazil, Korea, Dominican Rebuplic, Columbia, St Martin, Jamaica and various other countries we have frequented ...... To be fair, the food is cheap and decent, service has always been great and they recognized us whenever we would dine in but for "whatever reason" today we were asked to leave without a true understanding of why.......I am baffled and confused. Fourth time trying delivery. Last time for sure. Shrimp Tempura roll just lacked shrimp. Spring Roll mostly roll, needs veggies. The Mongolian Beef was tasty and secured a second star but once again a little light on the main ingredient. Dumplings were greasy and probably came from a 20lb bag of frozen dumplings. Try Mizu Sushi, JPan or Sapporo for fresh Sushi. And Chen's Gourmet on Ubereats or Postmates for delivery. read more

If you are looking for a McSushi type of Asian food experience than this Americanized Asian restaurant is the place for you. Located in a strip mall in LWR with limited parking, this place was busy with families on a rainy weeknight. Service was friendly and prompt. The hamachi with jalapenos was fresh. The eel avocado roll was so stingy with the eel it was a joke. Server told us that if we wanted more eel , we would be charged. Seriously, it was almost impossible to find it in the sea of cucumbers strips. Guess they think cucumber strips make the food fancy because there were plenty on the hamachi appetizer. House salads were served cold, fresh lettuce with peanut dressing. Hubby played it smart and ordered chicken teriyaki so no disappointment there. I ordered soup with rice noodles and it was average. I got food through Uber Eats from Migi Sushi. Usually I like to eat in at restaurants, but I had a long work day. So, I ordered delivery. The food was ready in record time. Picked up and delivered early! It was fresh. There wasn't a ton of rice in the rolls, but I don't mind that! A lot of sushi places fill you up on the rice and there's nothing else in it. The spicy crab roll wasn't very spicy, but overall the food was good. I will say the pricing is higher for delivery, but I think that's kind of standard now. I got the two rolls delivered with tax, fees and a 23% tip for $25. Can't complain. Went to Migi Sushi tonight and will definitely be back. The menu is robust with options for non-Sushi lovers as well. We were greeted and seated promptly at 6 on a Saturday night. We focused on sushi tonight. All the rolls were delicious and tasty. We also had edamame and spring rolls. These were delivered piping hot and quite tasty. We had the tempura shrimp roll, Cali Roll, Tampa Roll, Crunch 2 in 1, King Kong Roll and Dynamite Roll. The drink menu is fairly limited, but not a sake person...if you are you may be fine. Our total was just shy of $70 which feels like a smoking deal at a sushi restaurant these days.
