The food was the worst Thai food i have ever had. The chicken in the pod thai was over cooked to the point of shoe leather. The Red Curry on had squash ad a vegetable. And the Drunken Noodles was so bad. No sauce at all. No broccoli, No Tomatoes, the pork was over cooked as bad as the chicken. The soup and sticky rice was average at best. We ordered through Uber Eats. Their service was great. I'm just wondering where all the good reviews came from. Maybe the in restaurant service and food is better than takeout. But what we got was just plain bad. This restaurant claims to have authentic Thai Food, but it seems each dish is missing at least one ingredient in authentic Thai food. This is by far the best Thai restaurant in Tampa/Sarasota. The owners are incredibly friendly and personable and create a welcoming environment for all. One thing I would like to highlight is My Thai always offers meals and beverages that are authentic! Absolutely amazing restaurant. When they say best chicken soup they mean it, don't skip out on the "Tom Kah". The plum wine and Thai iced tea were also a hit at our table, along with the "amazing curry" the peanut sauce was delicious and sweet and the chicken was very well cooked. Excellent food! We ordered the pad Thai and the Panang curry with steamed rice and it was delicious.

They called the police on us because we didn't want to pay for the replacement rice (which was brought when our dish was undercooked and had to be reheated.). We've eaten here MANY times but never again. I have never been treated like this at any establishment. read more

The Coconut Soup was flavorful. It was the smaller size and very filling. My entrée, Massaman Curry Chicken came out before my Pot Stickers. My server forgot. The sauce for the Pot Stickers was good but they weren't the best Pot Stickers I've had. The Massaman was also just ok. It wasn't busy at all, only 3 patrons. I was not wowed by this establishment. My Thai just keeps getting better. I don't know why Bradenton has more Thai restaurants per capita than anywhere else I've been in Florida, but I am very grateful. However, My Thai has some of the most unique Thai menus that I have seen in all of Tampa Bay. After the amazing dining experience I had this past time, I can't wait to return and try something new on their menu every week. But, the Cortez Road traffic might not let me. I had their lemongrass grilled sausages and papaya salad. The only other time I've ever seen grilled sausages like this was at temple. These sausages were just as delicious, and were also served with sticky rice that you eat with your hands and dip into the house-made chili sauce or into the papaya salad lime sauce. As far as food delivery goes, Thai food is always a huge gamble. Noodle dishes meant to be consumed hot off the wok sit in a car for 40+ minutes and will usually arrive dry or gummy. Surprisingly, My Thai exceeded my expectations, with each entree retaining its flavor and texture. The Tom yum, pad Thai, and mango sticky rice were delicious and spiced to perfection. We decided to come to My Thai based on yelp reviews and thank you to all who reviewed because this was our best Thai meal ever! The location is in a shopping plaza and somewhat tucked in the corner. So keep looking if you think you can't find it because your tastebuds will thank you. We started with BBQ pork kabobs - it came with four so we each were able to have a full skewer. The sauce for dipping was delightful and they came with REAL sticky rice. (Not your average almost sticky rice...this was the real thing in a plastic bag tucked in the I had the shrimp green curry. The portion size was enough for several people and the taste was out of this world amazing! My entire family loved my dish and ate from it the whole meal. My kids each got a different variety of fried rice...again portions are very large and taste was perfection. My husband got a chicken and vegetable dish that he claimed was the best vegetables he's ever eaten. We stayed for some time while we picked away at our plates because we just couldn't stop. First time at My Thai -clever name and I should have ordered a Mai Tai. Great service and an excellent menu. The appetizer arrived on 5 minutes and the spring rolls were tasty. I could have used a little more of the dipping sauce. We had chicken with Cashew nuts and it was more than enough for both of us. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful and the water chestnuts were nice and crunchy. Looking forward to our next visit so we can try more of their menu. Taste was good overall. Ordered Green Curry, Pad Thai, Stir-Fry Curry Powder, and Beef Salad. The Green Curry and the Pad Thai were spot on...review would have been close to a 5-star if that's only what I ordered. Red meats on the other two dishes were hard and tough. Beef salad was $14 (twice as much as other salads on the menu so thought it must be good)...not the case because of the meat (stick to the others)...so highly disappointing. Maybe the food would've been better if I wouldn't of ordered Uber eats but I'm telling you I don't know how it would've been better in the restaurant because when I got this food if I tell you it looked disgusting, that's actually a compliment. The curry was horrible & watered down. It says it has vegetables? There were a few pieces of potato and carrots and tons of onion, but the curry itself was so watered down, thin curry sauce, that had no flavor whatsoever. The crispy duck was not crispy. It was mushy duck. The spring rolls were not crisp at all. They packaged them in a bag, and the bag ripped open. Oh the curry also spilled into the bag. They put a straw for my tea inside the bag so the curry juice got all over the straw. Nothing about this restaurant was good. And the chicken satay was nothing but dried pieces of chicken on a stick, so thin and so overcooked and so dry. I will never order from this place again and if you want to get real Thai food, this is not the place. You will be wasting your time and your money going here. I mean, I have had bad experiences in the past with other restaurants, but it's usually just one item but to have every single food item ordered be so subpar and so disgusting. I don't even know how this place is still in business like honestly, they need to be shut down. And whoever says this restaurant is good has no clue what they're talking about. My roommate and I just moved to the Bradenton area this past weekend to start grad school and were searching for a good Thai place. We visited this location because it was the closest one to us and OH MY GOODNESS. Best decision ever!! We were sat immediately and given a few minutes to look over the menu. Shortly after our orders were taken and within 15 minutes our food was already out and ready! It was hot and freshly made. The yellow curry with a spice level 2 was DELICIOUS. My Roomate ordered the pad Thai and that also tasted amazing. The portions were also very large!! Enough for both of us to eat and have leftovers. The staff was also SO attentive. They refilled our waters several times. They offered to bring more spice if a level 2 wasn't spicy enough. The owner laughed and joked with us during our meal. At one point I spilled curry on my white blouse and he saw me trying to clean it with a napkin and brought me wipes from the back!! They offered us boxes, fresh napkins, and were just so focused on making sure this experience was a good one. We left with mango bobas and they were also delicious! The boba had a comforting taste that reminded me of home. I've honestly never received service this great EVER!! (& I worked in the restaurant business for a few years). When I left I told my Roomate I felt like I was leaving a family dinner, not just a restaurant, and that was just from staff interaction alone. Without me knowing The restaurants name was My Thai Restaurant, I told my Roomate "this is officially my Thai Restaurant". The name speaks for itself!! Great service~ I was craving the pad kee Mao, but the sauce is already mixed, so was unable to get it gluten friendly. I was able to try the rice soup with veggies. It was a mild soup, and very good. I would order again, and see if they could add some chili oil or powder as I generally enjoy spicy dishes. Many of the specialties sounded good. I'll definitely return! They are doing to-go, and will bring to car for you if you don't want to go in to pick up. Best Thai food outside of country. I was totally surprised by the quality of the dishes. My wife had the drunken noodles and I had the Pad Woonsen. We also had pot stickers as an appetizer. The pot stickers were pan seared which was outstanding. The sauce with both the drunken noodles and the Pad Woonsen was over the top. I usually add hot sauce in other Thai restaurants but this sauce was so good I could not take away from it with a chili sauce. This place is tucked away but well worth the trip. In Bradenton there are a lot of options when it comes to Thai food, and luckily most of them are fantastic. I'm happy to say that the food here is excellent. Veggies and meats were all fresh in the dishes we ordered and everything was prepared to a high standard. Especially when ordering something stir fried, it's important that the dish isn't overly greasy or oily, and this restaurant nailed it. The noodle dishes tasted relatively light in fact. The veggies and seasoning in them really brought out the flavor. Nothing was overpowered by the taste of cooking oil or grease. As I don't digest oily food well at all, I was positively surprised. I will definitely come back again and this place is now my go-to option for late night take-out as they are open later than other Thai restaurants in the area. The interior ambiance is casual, and while nothing elaborate or fancy, they clearly put a lot of emphasis on cleanliness which is the most important thing in my book. If I had to pick one criticism, it would be that I would have preferred the crispy spring rolls to have been home made with more cabbage filling and perhaps not as doughy, but I know that's a big ask and hard to find. I am just nitpicking here as they were still better than a lot of other places I have tried and a lot of that is thanks to the fact that there was absolutely no oily aftertaste and they didn't feel heavy to my stomach.
