Visited for dinner with my children. We all had a great time. They liked the ambiance of the restaurant and the presentation of the food. The kids meals were a good deal along with the after 9pm happy hour pizza specials. One of my daughters had chicken wings and they were expensive but looked absolutely delicious. I signed up on their website and got a free appetizer. On recommendation from another patron, we got the chicken dip and chips. It was delicious and I ended up eating that more than my actual dinner. We told our waiter, Miguel, and he disappeared for quite some time. We thought he may have quit mid-shift, but when he returned he had new drinks from the downstairs bar. They were top notch. I was really surprised with this place, the ambiance is really nice they have a roof top on the 8th floor with a view to die for. One of our first nights in Bradenton we were scouring menus and wondering which place to go and grab dinner. We saw the giant pretzel on their menu and knew we had to try it. Our kiddo loves pretzels so she was psyched. My husband ordered and went to pick up the food. We split a pepperoni pineapple pizza and I had a salad and then of course we had to get a pretzel! It was so delicious! My kiddo was obsessed with the pretzel and practically asked for one every night after that it was giant like it fit in a whole pizza box giant! A couple days later we ended up going back to dine in we walked in and it was super loud and crowded with lots of traffic at the bar. I could hardly hear anything so we decided to order drinks and get the food to go. It was a really cool spot and if I was younger (lol!) I would have loved it. Has a lot of ambiance with tables to stand and mingle at near the bar and a help yourself wine and beer bar which is very cool. They also had regular seating throughout the restaurant and they had a rooftop bar. The drink I got was the lavender lemonade and it was so gorgeous and tasty. We really liked the pizza so we ordered it again and took it home and of course the kiddo got a pretzel. They also have a bar on the first floor but I highly recommend taking the elevator and enjoying the fresh air. The greeters are helpful and will get you seated promptly, the beer wall - if it's new to you isn't all that complicated, just take your time and browse. The rooftop view of the river was calling but between the flies and frowns from our first server we wound up downstairs in the main dining room. The view is absolutely amazing though! Service was much more satisfactory downstairs. Happy hour specials were in effect, so we took advantage and ordered drinks (El Chapó Margarita) and appetizers (Garlicky Spinach Dip), and both the Pepperoni and Winger Pizza. We also ordered the Buffalo Chicken dip, Blackened Hot Honey Wings, and the Grouper Sandwich. The margarita was good - very balanced and tasted quite fresh although I don't recall if they make their own mix. Our food came out in a very timely manner and everything was fabulous! Gordon Ramsey would have no bloody complaints. For me personally, the Blackened Hot Honey Wings were some of the best wings I've had in a long time. I loved the sticky, slightly sweet sauce with a strong spicy kick backed up with a little creamy tang from the cheese. The Winger Pizza definitely deserves a taste if you can't decide between wings or pizza and you're curious enough to try a mashup. Holy Moly and Welcome to Flavortown! And just look at the photo I posted of the Pepperoni Pizza - it's perfection! My son ordered his Grouper sandwich with everything on the side, but he gave it the utmost praise as the best fish sandwich (he LOVES fish, so this is like an expert opinion ) but the candied bacon that came with it received even higher praise...literally blew his mind. There was some type of celebratory function occurring on the first floor, so the hostess sent us up to eighth floor, an open-air tavern and eatery. We were seated at a table that provided a nice, but not spectacular, view of the Manatee River and parking lots. We ordered the Bourbon Sticky Wings and the "All the Way" artisan pizza. The wings tasted OK, as did the pizza. However, the quantity of pizza toppings was meager. The place was extremely noisy. People were talking at the top of their voices, almost shouting just to be heard. Service was slow because the place was crowded. Also, it was very windy. The griddle burger came with fries and also filling and very good. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. The red onions were slightly cooked just the way I like them. The burger and egg rolls were quite filling my meal also had fries. Also there were two orders of the avocado breakfast with a bowl of fruit (brunch). Comments were very positive. WE'VE been coming to Oak & Stone for awhile with Family or out of town Guests. We always recommend for App southwest eggrolls which were very greasy. We also recommend the Grouper BLT. Last night when it arrived the bacon was really burnt. The Server took it back and when it came back to our table my Husband was so disappointed because the bacon was mostly raw. My daughter and I dined at the Bradenton O&S on Sunday the 12th. We were seated right by a window to enjoy the incredible view. I wanted to try one of their specialty cocktails, but they were out of the popsicles that come with the drink, so I settled for a virgin lavender lemonade.
