    Creole shrimp app (to go)
    Misty M.

This is the type of restaurant that would normally be added to my "tourist trap" one-and-done list based on the patio seating, shark decor and sticky floors...however, after years of visits, My Village Pub has truly become an MVP for us. We've tried their burgers, tacos, cocktails and apps and never had a bad meal. My personal favorites are the avocado egg rolls and creole shrimp appetizer. Seriously, the creamy spicy sauce is to DIE for with a few toasty points of garlic bread. Paired with a chilled white wine and it's the perfect light dinner after a day at the beach.

Was in the area and was looking for a place to watch the Barcelona vs Real Madrid game. Asked the host if they could accommodate us with a TV to watch the soccer game during busy NFL Sunday. He was able to sit us outside and put the game on! My wife ordered the Mahi tacos, I ordered the Hangover Burger with fries. Food came out relatively fast, even on a busy Sunday afternoon! Everything tasted fresh, and very tasty! The vibe of the restaurant was fun and beachy. Definitely a cool spot to visit while on vacation. We'll be back for sure!

I've been here a couple times and always sit outside and people watch! The burger's are great fries are ok and beer prices excellent. The ghost burger took awhile to eat (definitely spicy) but good. Super nice service go here

The only good thing was the food. It started with being sat first at a dirty table, but we asked to move. Think scraps of food on the table, dirty napkins on the ground at the seats. We waited about 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress, Amy. (sp?) We ordered drinks (which took too long as well), and shared appetizers. Honestly, the food was on point and was the only quick thing that happened. That's why we put "maybe" as a place to dine. But it would be a last resort for us to have to eat there again. We had the burger sliders, avocado eggrolls, queso dip and some fries. The fry season was really good too. But we had to go get our own side dishes since our waitress didn't check back at all. Not to mention our silverware rollups were dirty as hell. The whole experience wasn't awesome. At all. I wouldn't recommend. There are so many other places- I would avoid if possible. And then when she dropped off our check, she said she would just wait for it while she stood there and we read the bill. Ummm- most people don't want to feel rushed to pay, never mind that was the only time she wanted to do something quick. Only giving 2 stars for the food.

The Burger, ordered "well done" with a side of fries. Delivered to table with chips and a burger far from well done.

Ambiance is okay and server was nice. Unfortunately the food and overall service is meh. We were sat inside, near a kitchen entrance and restrooms. During our meal, at least 3 employees hit my chair on their path to and from the kitchen. For my meal, I ordered a burger, well done, with a side of fries. The meal came out with a side of chips and a burger that was near raw. Informed our server of both issues. I was brought a plate of fries - which is all I was able to eat. This was not our first time dining at MVP, but it was probably the worst to date. Maybe it was just a one-off. But there are several other options in the village and across the bridge that are better, in my opinion.

Took almost 15 minutes for a server (Piper) to greet us. At that point, we were ready to order and all she wanted to do was take a drink order. She returned about five minutes later to take the food order. We have five people in our party. After about 20 minutes, four of the entrées were delivered (we ordered 2 salads and 3 burgers). One of the burgers came out wrong (had onions when we asked for none). It took at least another five minutes from my other daughter's burger to come out. It was SO GREASY SHE DIDN'T EAT MOST OF IT. But the server was nowhere to be found. By the time the food arrive all our drinks were empty. We had to request to the server multiple times to fill drinks. For the most part, the food tasted good however it was not a good experience. Not sure if the server just had a bad night, but definitely was not on top of things.

Great atmosphere! Sports galore. Great Pub Burger. Above average service. Outdoor patio and tons of TV's. Ideal mid-island location. Highly recommend

This place deserves wayyyy more business because it is never crowded BUT the portions are so huge, always delicious, and the staff is attentive and personal! Please make this a stop on your trip to siesta key and thank me later :)

A popular sports bar in Siesta Key Village. Outside and indoor sitting. Quick, friendly service. The food was excellent. Actually went here twice while in town. I will definitely visit again when I come back.

But there's a reason behind this. The owner is on site quite a bit it's nice to see him. While the place certainly has quite a few miles on it mostly because it keeps getting beat up during hurricanes it bounces back. Feel free to bring a dollar and staple a dollar to the ceiling or if you're a copper firefighter bring your patch and they will hang it proudly. When I'm on vacation I like my food very simple. A simple double smashburger and fries 100% does me in. For servers are definitely all smiling another staple and not really an expectation but I'm so glad to see it. My wife got a chicken quesadilla not really adventurous again for the same reason. The beers are cold the servers are beautiful and everything is right with the world when I can sit down at siesta key oyster bar.

Raw oysters 10/10: Juicy, flavorful. Fresh. Everything oysters should be. I could've easily slammed 2 dozen by myself. Po Boy Oyster 10/10: This was fried the best considering we went to other restaurants and ordered the same dish. We'd be happy to have this meal again. Seafood quesadilla 8/10: Can't go wrong with this! I have a small appetite but still almost ate the whole thing.

It's got a relaxing beach vibe with outside seating and a nice patio in the back with enough shade. I could tell that they host nightly entertainment here with a small stage. Also ordered include the blackened grouper sandwich, billionaire burger, and tempura shrimp appetizer. Our group loved every entree. The cocktails were also refreshing. The parking place had ample parking where you needed a mobile app to pay for your parking. There was a larger souvenir store there if you needed to kill time before your seating. Once it was our time for our dinner reservations, we were greeted and seated at our table. Our waitress was a bit sarcastic or had a witty comments that didn't sit well with my kids. When ordering our foods, the kids asked what type of drinks they had since it was not listed on the menu. She said Coke but didn't elaborate that they had Coke products. Since she said Coke so fast our daughter didn't hear the response and asked her the question again where she just said that's a great question and ignored her and moved on. Food wise - we had the Peruvian ceviche, Peruvian chicken, I think I had a special grouper dish. The food was good. We were able to eat everything and the kids enjoyed their kids burger meals. Outside of the waitress comments, the place placed nice modern music to listen to and had the basketballs games playing on the tv at the bar.

Friday, January 16, 2026 - Two for a burger bite. Not before the FST show…read more (GOSUB to the **** for the meat/burger of the review ((smile)) ) I have reviewed about 30 restaurants in and around Sarasota since 2021 when we moved down permanently and are members of the FST. On this Friday night, nothing was going right. My wife was delayed at school etc. So then a delayed departure from Venice, a false stop at Mad Moe's for a burger in Osprey (PACKED) and then a direct shot and parking across from FST we hope for a quick burger or something at the bar or restaurant at FST? But it was PACKED and they weren't serving any more???? We threw our tickets in the trash because now we could not make it back in time, (( frown :-( )) So a walk to Main Street to see if Patrick's or anybody might have room for two? NOPE. and we were walking along and THERE WAS BREWSTER's GASTROPUB!!!!!!!!!! For some reason I have 128 restaurants on my Sarasota Favorites list and Brewster's was not on it? I checked them on as I entered??? Looked VERY full at the bar, and most tables were full but it looked like we had a shot...... and there was a four top high-top!!!!!!! WIDE OPEN!! I think the no table service might be the delineator. We weren't looking for a sit down "dining" and full service gig. Nor did we need the overhead and pomp and circumstance of a host/hostess, army of bus staff, a waitstaff and being waited on with drinks and water and etc? ******** We came to EAT GOOD SIMPLE FOOD and have FUN. **** And that's what we did!!! "Todd" at the bar was friendly and fantastic. All the bartenders and staff were helpful and friendly. The "security guy" when he saw me at the bar for about 20 seconds helped me get some ketchup. Zone defense and team effort!!!! I got the signature Brew Burger and a side of Street Corn and had an endless glass of water w/ lemon I think I had Todd fill about 5 times. My wife and I bantered about what the Street Corn would be and we were happily surprised with the authentic Mexican Street Corn (elotes?) on the cob with a stick and a delightful creamy Chile, garlic, and Cotija cheese sauce I think. (problem is we gobble them up before we could figure out the exact sauce composition here. BUT it was very tasty. 10/10 The burger (for this adult usually nutritarian plant-based eater) was EXACTLY what I had hoped for. A wonderfully fresh an warm brioche bun, fantastic angus burger, cheddar and a "secret sauce" . I got lettuce onion and pickles which are standard...... this was VERY VERY VERY tasty. only quip is I will opt for sauce on the side and its was a little too much sauce. This was mega and uber better than some greasy Five Guys or Smashburger or any of that stuff. 10/10 My wife got the Shroom & Swiss Burger that had a wonderful portobello mushroom on it nicely cooked, terrific angus burger properly cooked exactly as we ordered it, she loved the blue cheese perfect amount, She also felt a bit TOO much of the secret sauce, but its pretty tasty so not a catastrophe. This was also an AWESOME burger!! 10/10 The sweet potato fries were not crazy greasy and perfectly crisp but not crunchy for fries - good, cross-cut and obviously bulk bag. Cut or sliced would be nicer but of course not expected, its a side. 7/10 The place is clean and glassware and silverware perfectly clean. The counter/bar service is fantastic. I had to make a few trips for ketchup and place ware and etc but hey when your wife gets one of the better vodka cranberry w/lemon and club in a large tumble for $9 instead of $15 or $16 for a 6 oz martini glass with 4 oz of watery drink........ its a home run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With all the TVs and sports that is probably the summary of my review. Brewster's Gastropub is a Grand Slam for food and service......and especially burgers!!! Bravo Zulu.
