This place has a great vibe, but I will never go back. Lame bartender hired cause she's cute...but dumb as a rock. Ordered 2 Stoli soda. She grabs the flavored stoli. I stop her then she grabs the right bottle. MEASURE pours from the small side and made a drink so weak it was basically all soda water. Cheap ass management measures shots and charges $9 for a non alcoholic soda water. Shame cause the place is cool but I do not recommend at all. Came here on a Saturday night with family on vacation, good music, great prices, definitely a casual spot to come drink close to the beach. There are both outdoor and indoor areas, all of it is smoke friendly. I only came at night so I'm not sure if they offer food during the day. Crowd was in the 40s-50s range, but we went during "low season" so it may be a spot the locals like to hang at. There's nothing that makes this place memorable to me as a tourist, besides the good pricing. It was within walking distance of my rental, so that was an added plus. They stay open pretty late as well, so definitely an added plus. I would come back if I was in the area, fair warning of the guest demographics before arriving. read more

The blonde bartender MALISSA gave me the worst service I've ever had in my life. She mean mugged my whole group, and was forcing me to order through her after I told her the other bartender took care of us. She rudely insisted/yelled "NO YOURE NOT GOOD" arguing with me after trying to tell her we were covered and paid out by the other bartender. She then told me we didn't pay after spending over $100 with the other bartender cashing us out five seconds prior, which to me sounds like she's trying to scam!! The other bartender tried to step in and help us but got yelled at by Malissa to the point I felt bad for her!!! She also rudely forced us to show her our IDs a second time--which is great to be careful of underage drinkers--but it was so rude and useless considering they were already checked. I'm a service worker myself and I've never been treated so disgustingly by a bartender or customer. I get that this is a local spot, but with siesta key being a travel destination, this girl needs to go. She's very bad for business. She was in no way upselling, she was trying to scam our group. From reading other reviews it looks like the management might not check this so I feel the need to warn other customers. Stopped in today on a bike ride on Thursday 7/25 at about 2:30 PM. We live at Sunset Royale #212. Intended on drinks and lunch....there were 5 of us. We were TOTALLY Ignored by your staff!!! There were few patrons there. 2 attendants outside that continued their conversation --short older guy and tall dark skinned guy. They did not acknowledge us. We went inside and were ignored there too....so we departed. Went to Captain Curt's Sniki Tiki...you missed a $150 check. We will never recommend anyone one to you again. The jerks that rode my ass from Downtown Sarasota to Siesta Key, because I observe the speed limits, come here. Saw them and their ilk drinking from outside and thought I'd drop in to see the place. Nice looking bar staff who have that "in between bad relationships and life choices look" give the eyes at the beginning and then wait for you to come to the bar for seconds.. All the warmth of Florida beach life with the cold realities just inches away. A place to kill time but don't stay too long. read more

An absolute damper to an otherwise great trip. My girlfriend, her family and I visited this location to have a few drinks. It was a 2 minute walk from where we were staying in Sarasota, Florida. Setting the expectedly expensive drinks aside, the servers were extremely rude and and set a terrible start to what was a night we were looking forward to. The entire table had all ordered margaritas ranging in flavors. Due to the server's mistake, she brought a Mango flavored margarita that no one had ordered. When we told her no one had ordered one, she insisted she wasn't wrong, and after a minute of back-and-forth, sighed and snatched the drink away to bring me my correct drink, remaining passive aggressive for the rest of the night. We were served by two other women, one of which was far nicer than the first, the other possibly even more rude. We waited for ~30mins after our second drink, still looking to order shots. One of us left to order them at the bar, and was told that our server would come to our table and take care of it for us. When our original server came, we ordered the shots again. The lady from the bar then approached us angrily and asked us not to order drinks twice, despite her telling us our server would come around for us to speak to her. Under no circumstances should customers be treated this way for the staff's lack of communication and organization. Either the staff is naturally rude, or they'd had one too many drinks on the job. It's unfortunate as everyone else seemed to be having a great time. With that in consideration, your experience may vary. All I can say is: I suggest you find a different bar with more well-mannered servers. read more

Beware We called the police on this establishment tonight. The police told us they are called there a lot for fights and other problems. The bartender inside was wearing a black and red bra top. She bent my daughter's license in half alleging it was fake. The police ran her license and said it was valid. She is 27. That is the least of our problem. The bra top bartender who told us she is 24 told us to get the fuck out. Yelling . Many people around were totally intoxicated and a patron wanted to fight my daughter. Interestingly, the so called security guard, asked us to leave. We waited for the police and they found nothing wrong on our part. That is where the police made the comment that they are called to this establishment a lot. I asked to see the owner or manager and was told they were not in. The police recommended that we file a complaint with the liquor commission which we will be doing. Shame on Crescent Club. read more

Wow!!! First of all...Hazel is amazing! We came in after 11 pm on our last night and sat at the bar. At first, it Kinda looked like the place was closed but once we took a minute to look, we realized it was open inside. It has an old-school ambiance with the dark wood bar and candles (which I love) . Then we met Hazel! She came with her warm welcome and easy conversation. My only regret is that we didn't come earlier! Im a Fort Myers Beach native and came here for a little getaway before finally resuming my manager/bartender duties at our makeshift bar and restaurant after hurricane Ian. If I could give 0 stars I would. This is a long but worth it review, come with me on a journey of complete idiocy. I (27) walk into the bar and order a drink from the bartender wearing an ugly black and red bra top with black hair. She informs me I need to show her my ID and then turns to grab my drink. Before handing me the drink I gave her my out of state ID to check. She takes my ID, puts it under the bar, messes with it for long enough that I try to look to see what she's doing with it, and then hands me back a permanently bent and creased ID. I said to her "did you just bend my ID?" and she responded "I didn't bend it, it just bent" and then proceeded to accuse me of having a fake ID and being under 21. To which I replied "well I don't know what to tell you" and then i listed off my birthday, address, and damn zodiac sign. She then gave me my drink and I was left with a permanently scarred ID that I now have to replace. My family came to help me handle the situation because I didn't know what to do and was worried that TSA would say it's not a valid ID and I wouldn't be able to fly home. The bartender was completely unapologetic and began yelling and swearing at me and my family all while slurring her words. She even yelled at my family to "get the fuck out" after we informed her that we called the police. We decided it had gotten out of control so we asked for a manager or the owner and then called the police. We were told by a different bartender that they weren't there and then we were told by another employee that "you can't just see the owner" (you own a dive bar, calm down) and that "whoever is inside is the manager" (you expect me to believe the manager is who bent my ID and is screaming my my family? Yeah no) The police easily verified my ID and story and said to us that they have to frequent this bar for problems a lot and recommended that we file a complaint with the liquor board, which we did. We also asked the police to breathalyze the bartender as her sobriety was questionable. At the bare minimum there needs to be a complete reeducation of how to handle fake IDs and employees need customer service training. The way we were treated was completely unacceptable, oh and it was Christmas. Let's walk through her thought process real quick. - bartender suspects an ID is fake - to verify the ID the bartender bends it before ever saying anything to the customer - bartender hands back a permanently scarred ID and hands the customer the drink. Now let's what through the proper handling of a suspected fake ID. - in the state of Florida it is illegal for an establishment to confiscate an ID even if it's a suspected fake. If a fake ID is recognized, the sale should be refused and the police should be called. The sale was not refused and the police weren't called until I called them. There are other ways for a bar to verify IDs without permanently scarring them, and for a bar that has been in business for as long as this bar has, it is frankly unacceptable and shady that the only verification they have is a bartender using her clearly uneducated judgement and bending IDs. read more

By far the best dive bar I have ever been to, its the definition of a dive bar. You walk into the main room and you are transported to another dimension. Everyone is friendly and just in a great mood, drinking and chilling out. You never know what is going to happen but you are guaranteed a great time and a lot of laughs. They recently added an outdoor patio area with tv's and a bar which is a nice addition. It gets a little smokey sometimes in the main room so having the option to sit outside is a great idea. The worst service ever. Sure, if you want a "fine drink" while watching a "game" this is your place. However, the rude staff made my 22 year old daughter sob. Despite her 4 forms of id, they would not let her on the premises. I understand that you cant be on the premise of a bar without a government issued id. However, she had a vaccine card, a photocopy of a passport, and a photocopy of her license, and a physically card of her student ID from university. The patron continued to call her a profanity so bad I can't repeat The situation could have been handled peacefully and respectfully. I left the place dehumanized and accosted. After vacationing in the area for over 40 years, I FINALLY decided to check out Crescent Club with my boyfriend. It was within walking distance and seemed low key. Once inside it felt like I had gone back in time as I can barely recall when places had cigarette machines. Being highly smoke sensitive (eye surgeries), I placed my order for a rum and coke and immediately headed outside. As there were smokers there also, I chugged my bev and made our way back to the condo. I can see where this might be a perfect fit for some, but not this someone. read more

This place used to be a great, dark and cold, local dive bar that locals could visit to get some cheap cold beer after a hot day at the beach. Then some hotshot local "celebrity" bought it and ruined what was once a piece of Sarasota and Siesta Key nostalgic charm. Now it's been renovated into an unrecognizable eyesore resembling a 1950s gas station out front with too many tables inside so no one would be able to sit comfortably with a group. (And, randomly, there's a sign saying they require 2 legal identifications as to proof of age which makes zero sense.) No charm. No local feel. Just another tourist trap trying to suck out dollars from vacationers. No thanks. read more

It's a bar. No food offerings at all. No COVID measures. Wait staff not wearing masks. No social distancing. Slow service despite being pretty slow. And as is typical in Florida, smoking is okay at all the outside tables and bars. 1) Non-smokers like to sit outside too. 2) Have you not seen the news? Being outside does not protect you from COVID. Giving the second star for location only. If you are staying in this area on the key and only want to drink, and are a smoker this place is for you. Choose this bar because it was walking distance. We actually were walking by and either the owner or someone who works there pretty much said we needed to come inside. He walked us over the bar and asked us what we wanted to drink. So, definitely some great customer service there. Cheap drinks and a super friendly bartender. The bar was filled with mostly locals from what I gathered and my only issue was the cigarette smoke. If you don't like the smell of cigs, I would definitely stay away or sit outside. Saturday night the give out free hotdogs. All in all, it's a fun place to check out for a drink. They do have music playing inside and out and patio seating. read more

If you are looking for a fun dive bar, Crescent Club is where it's at. Drinks are cheap and strong, it's a great mix of locals, tourists, bikers and whoever happens to be stopping through. Bartenders are friendly and sweet. The vibe is "let's come here to get drunk and have fun!" The bathroom may not be the cleanest one I have seen and its smokey but isn't that what you come to a dive bar for? Extra star for the Newport "Alive with Pleasure" cigarette machine in back. My husband and I went last night. It is no longer a place for cheap drinks. We were charged 55.00 for three drinks. Not good! When I questioned the bartender she had said that my husband asked for a double. What he did ask for was not a full glass of ice and more vodka because it did not taste like any was in the drink. there was no way she poured two shots in the glass - i would have tasted it.
