I also love their wide selection of sauces. It gives me a variety of flavor depending on what I am feeling that day. Sweet Sriracha is my #1! Additionally, I had amazing service by the staff tonight. An employee named Haylee worked the second drive-thru window and was very kind. It was also very nice of Shannon to bring the food out to me when I had to park. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming to guests. Overall, definitely one of my favorite restaurants. I will be coming back here again whenever I'm in town :) read more

Food: I was here once before and didn't remember us being as good as how much I used to love PDQ. But this go around was much better. Their chicken is better than chic fil a and that honey mustard is soooo good. One thing I wish they brought back was the sliced apples and the dessert dip with nuts. It was amazing! A unique PDQ treat. 4 stars. I'd go back. Service: Was friendly and helpful. Can't expect too much for fast food other than a smile and help when needed. Ambiance: Fast food with a better inside. Two choose your own soda pop and flavor machines. Coke for the win! No one likes Pepsi, good choice PDQ. Also, they had TV's who knew. You can order yourself at the kiosk or go to the counter. Not sure if this should be a 3 or 4 start rating. Ugh. Okay, let's get this out. Service is good. For the most part they are friendly and kind. A few times the person handing us our food in the drive though seems to be in such a rush that they forget items such as our drinks or sauces. Every now and then, the cashier is too occupied by the other staff working behind them while taking our order that they do not hear me. This causes them to ask me to repeat myself. A handful of times the cycle repeats itself 2-3 times before they hear me. Food comes out quickly, even when my order comes with zucchini fries which I know takes just a little longer to prepare. Which it does most of the time. The fries are not my favorite. No matter what time of the day we visit, to me, the fries taste like they have been refried multiple times. They are crunchy throughout, not crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The taste is off as well. The nuggets are a favorite with us, so are the tenders. I don't mind the sandwiches. I stopped here because I was starving and it was a little off the highway that I was on. I have been to other PDQs so I decided to stop at this one because I wanted a "healthier" option for fast food and was not in the mood for many other food choices at that time. The drive thru took a bit of a long time and I am not too sure why because it seemed like there was more than enough people working but that may just be me looking too much into it. Anyways I finally made it to the front and placed my order, the person working the section seemed to be bothered through my entire order and when I pulled up to the window they seemed to be annoyed working as well. I ordered the grilled chicken slices with fries and a drink, as well as a tender meal with tots and a drink. The grilled chicken slices were very small compared to other times that I have been to other PDQ locations. The fries were hot but very greasy like they weren't strained before being put in the bag for me. The tots were on the cold side as well. The regular chicken tenders were good but nothing to write home about without their buffalo sauce you can ask for to dip everything in. I will probably pass this location up if I am in the area again and looking for some grilled chicken slices unfortunately. read more

I stooped in to redeem my birthday gift from PDQ and got the spicy chicken sandwich meal. The food was ready very quickly and hot. I was surprised when I was about a third of the way finished with eating my chicken sandwich when all of the breading started to fall off of the chicken. It was disappointing to say the least. I asked the manager on duty and they advised that they recently just changed the way they were breading the chicken and only dip and coat the chicken once. I hope they decide to go back to the old ways and double dip the chicken. Will not be returning anytime soon and will see if the reviews change for this location. read more

Love PDQ, but haven't been to one since the Covid shutdown. Chicken strips were as delicious as ever! But they changed their fries to waffle fries! So disappointed - they used to have the best fries on the planet! Now they are just Chik-Fil-A wannabes. Also - the staff were all masked, but this location is definitely not enforcing masks on customers - so many without them! What is wrong with people?? read more

Not too bad for our first time at this restaurant. The fried spicy chicken sandwich was good as well as the fries. The grilled chicken sandwich was dry and not very good. The sweet tea was good. The staff was friendly. I like Chik-Fil-a better but this place is good once in a while. read more

PDQ is a great place for the family to go. I know that I took my son and we had a ball. There is a guy there making balloon animals and what not, friendly staff and a nice, new smell all around. But what about the food? Meh... it's another fast food chicken joint. They serve nothing but that. Their milkshakes are better than anywhere else on the east-side of State Road 70 or State Road 64, but that doesn't say much. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and so did my son. We both liked it just fine, but there is just something missing. Either way, it is a great place to go with the fam on a Saturday afternoon for a bite. Wow! This was incredible and DEElicious!! Cute , clean updated place PDQ pretty dang Quick! I literally ordered my food, turned to fill my drink and in a split second they called my name for my order! I had the Spicy Chicken sandwich meal with THE best waffle fries and a drink for $8.50! The hubs had a very filling 4 piece tender meal that was awesome too! Will be back for fried chicken heaven again! read more

I enjoy PDQ, the food is good, the service is friendly, portion sizes are good for the price, it's clean inside and they have a good variety on their menu. It's fast food that doesn't feel fast. I didn't give it 5 stars because they got rid of the zucchini fries. Everybody that I know that gets their zucchini fries is a big fan. This was a corporate decision, but very disappointing because those zucchini fries are the bomb. read more

PDQ is my number one place to go to for fast food fried chicken. Every time I go here I have zero complaints. The food is always warm and fresh. The fried chicken is juicy and well seasoned. The waffle fries are so much better than there last fries. There crisp and perfectly salted. I'm glad they replaced there fries because the last ones where hit or miss. Even the milkshakes are good. The banana milkshake is literally everything. It's the perfect non-artificial banana flavor. Don't even get me started on there sauces. I think there PDQ sauce is better than any other chain fried chicken sauce. PDQ never disappoints that's why I continue to go back there. read more

Staff is un-informed about cooking process and ingredients made me ill. I specifically asked if fries were cooked separately from breaded items and told the person taking my order that I CANNOT have wheat (not allergic suspected celiac like my mom) and I was assured that they used a separate frier and that I was good. I am not good and feeling horribly ill. Called the manager to let him know what happened. He thanked me for letting him know. 2nd time I have had a horrible customer service issue here but this one actually caused me to write this review. I let the first one slide. After a very rough golf round I wanted to enjoy a nice milkshake from PDQ and I ended up getting a whip cream shake and some Oreo in there as well my buddy got a sprite and what he got was a large cup of ice and some sprite and don't even get me started on his milkshake peanut butter milkshake and it was just straight peanut butter in the bottom of the cup worst experience ever I'd rather go to McDonald's and take my chances with ice cream machine. My wife and I live in Punta Gorda and look forward to driving to the Bradenton store off of state road 70. Much to our surprise they took many items off the menu. The zucchini fries were one of our favorites. No regular fries, no tots, just waffle fries. They also do not serve the nuggets. Needless to say we asked them about it and they said they "may bring them back in July." We walked out and will not return. Too bad loved the food. read more

Quick drive though for lunch the other day. I had a few questions that were met with a smile and a few recommendations ... VERY helpful staff. Too many take out restaurants are dropping the ball with service but not PDQ. The food is obviously something they take pride in as well. The quality and freshness was apparent. This will be our new go to place for "fast casual". My son had a milkshake that he said was the best and they had some nice healthy choices for me. The grilled chicken tenders have the best flavor. Chick-fil-a with about 50% better food and more class. I've been to this location and the one in St Pete and both have super nice staff. Orders come out piping hot and quickly. I've been to PDQ twice now, one at each of the aforementioned locations. I had the chicken sandwich with pimento cheese previously, and it was 5/5, while I had a 10-piece crispy tender meal and peanut butter shake this time. I got through about 4 tenders and the shake before I was stuffed. It was delicious, all white meat, but a ton of food. 2x 10-piece tender meals, 2x small shakes and 1 order of fries was $37. For the amount of food and the quality, the price is very reasonable. Great for an informal, quick, satisfying meal. Tons of protein and the grilled options give you the opportunity to cut empty calories. read more

Great place for some healthier fast options. I had the chicken Caesar salad. I loved the homemade dressing; I thought it was a really good flavor. Possibly a little more pepper than some might like but that is how I like it. Could have maybe used another chicken tender worth of chicken on the salad. Thats how I would improve it. August 21 we stopped by about 12:30pm to try the pizza and dogs with our three teens. The server sat us at an outdoor table and we sat for 20 minutes waiting for a server to come back without success. The two servers served the two other tables just outside the front and side doors with delicious looking food immediately. We could see our host was preoccupied and busy and went to tell her we were leaving after 20 minutes without anyone bringing us water or drinks. The two families on either side of us both were served their food in that time. If we try again we will mention this incident and hope we are served.
