Cool WPA-style murals inside.

Was craving some fish, chips, burgers, and some root beer to wash it all down. What to do? Luckily, some entrepreneurial corporate genius at Yum brands said, "Hey, why don't we smoosh a Long John Silver's together with an A&W Root beer?" From the outside the restaurant looked bit worn, but inside it was clean and well ordered. Service was fast and friendly. And the fish & chips were freshly made, yay! The burger was excellent and served with real pickle chips, not the sad ones you get at the Golden Arches. Overall, this was an excellent establishment and I'll be back again when I get that specific itch I need to scratch. This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

We love Long John Silver's fish. Unfortunately we have to drive at least 25 miles to get it.

I used to love the Fish. I'm not sure what changed but I don't eat either place. First bite was my last.

The vibe is easy going and friendly and I love how they make most of their mixers/bitters/etc! It was fun looking at all the different labels and both bartenders were happy to talk about the various items. I had fun explaining to my husband that the big jar of cochineal on the counter were dried bugs lol!! Apparently they use it to dye their aperol- cool! I also was curious about the Szechuan amaro I saw and the bartender let me try just a teensy bit of it with the warning that it will make your tongue go numb (which it totally did! XD). The drinks were great, I got an espresso martini which was served in an adorable little jar and was super tasty, not syrupy sweet and I loved the (homemade) pecan bitters. I would love to go back and try out more of their drinks! All in all a very fun bar and great bartenders who seem to love what they do.

I got the breakfast hash topped with an egg and bits of sausage, potatoes, bell peppers, corn and a sauce that was full of flavor. The others at the table got the blackened fish and chicken on beignets. Each enjoying them! We had a table of 6 and the service was excellent too. Staff recommended one tab and was able to split at the end which was great. Space is cozy too! Lots of seasonings on the walls and gave dining hall vibes with the picnic type tables. Highly recommend this place. It definitely gives cozy brunch vibes. I encourage you to grab an entree and a side or an extra entree to share.

You can really taste the love that went into all this food. This is a food truck right across from HEB mueller in that swimming pool parking lot. She's only open on the weekends and her food can be ordered on DoorDash but she has more menu items in person than on DoorDash. I online ordered and picked up 3 different orders. 2 of them were not ready and she had me wait in my car and she brought them out to me so I didn't melt in the heat. Now the important stuff the menu... Ok who knew you could fry ribs?!?! They were on point. 4 to an order. Ribs were still moist, the batter had a crunch, and the meat fell off the bone. The dirty rice was the best dirty rice I've ever eaten. It was loaded up with seafood The smothered pork chops were 2 to an order and 2 sides served on a bed of white rice. Also very moist and great flavor, the Mac n cheese was not runny which I personally hate when it's just a runny mess, the fried cabbage also had a great flavor and it was still crunchy. The jerk chicken had great flavor but it was ordered as mild (not by me) and it definitely needed the heat/spice,the jumbalaya side was also tasty We also got the hot Cheetos boudin balls (I forgot to take a picture) they were huge and not spicy at first bite the heat sneaks up on you. The strawberry crunch cake was a big slice and reminded me of strawberry cake doughnut but that banana pudding was also probably the best banana pudding I've ever eaten. I felt all the portions were huge and prices were fair. This definitely not a food truck to sleep on. I've been told she makes great oxtails but they sell out fast.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.

Really love going to rosé goes!…read more I think everybody in town knows their service is not the best and that's not what they're known for but their cocktails are by far my favorite in all of Austin. Their drink number seven, which is basically a Yuzu gin sour is literally my favorite drink and all of Austin and still continues to be that way. Their food is also pretty decent, but I primarily go there for the drinks. Gotta get my wraps done before it actually closes down because I still don't know how to stay around
