Excellent experience with Austin Auto Shipping this week!…read more I needed to ship my car from Austin to Detroit and George was able to get me a quote and ETA for delivery very quickly. Payment was easy and their customer service team is so fast to respond to emails. The pickup was right in the middle of their estimated 3-day window. The driver will meet you in a large parking lot for pickup (ie Home Depot, Walmart, etc). They were nice enough to come to a big lot in the Domain right by my house! Took all of 5 minutes to hand off the car. Best of all, my car was delivered SUPER fast. It arrived to Detroit two days after the pickup, way ahead of the 5-7 day ETA. The driver met my family at a grocery store lot close to home and the handoff was quick and easy. Very pleased with my experience and would recommend to anyone shipping their car out of Austin!

This defintely helped my friend make the decission to go with them.  The car arrived on the date that was promised and in the exact same condition as it left Austin.  Thanks again for the outstanding service, guys.  Cheers!

Horrible Experience - Avoid This Company! I can't express enough how terrible my experience with…read moreCross Country Movers has been. From the start, the communication was absolutely dreadful. Once they picked up my stuff, I never heard a word from them. No updates, no tracking info, nothing. I had no idea where my belongings were or when they would arrive. The worst part? They completely overcharged me. The initial estimate was way lower than the final bill, and they tacked on extra, unexplained fees that were never mentioned during booking. It felt like they were just taking advantage of me at every turn. And now, even though it's been weeks, my stuff still isn't here! No one is giving me a clear answer or timeline. This company is a complete disaster and I wouldn't trust them with a single item, let alone an entire move. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable moving company. Cross Country Movers is an absolute nightmare. PS: I will write an complain everyday on here so people will know till my stuff come and all my stuff needs to come undamaged and nothing missing Sincerely ANTHONY WATKINS !!!

We worked with Matthew Chevalier (sales) as our contract agent, Frank Matthews (AR/AP) for the payment, and John Mendes (Operation Team) to coordinate for the move. They all provided comprehensive explanations about the respective step in the move, and were helpful and patient beyond our expectations. Highlight of our move were: 1. No change in the price: Unlike what we had heard about notorious moving companies, with this company there was no change in the contract price. They gave us a quote according to our inventory when I first called, and did not charge extra in any other step. 2. Great packers: On the pick up date, a professional team packed our furniture in an indestructible way. 3. Transparent process: We received an email as soon as the 18 wheeler carrying our furniture left the source city, and received updates about the whereabouts of the truck on its way. 4. Early delivery: On the pick up date we were given a delivery window for delivery within up to 14 business days. They delivered our furniture only 9 days (business and non-business) after the pick up date. 5. No damage to furniture: The delivery was perfect with no damage to our furniture or any of the boxes and their contents. We strongly recommend cross country moving company (DOT 2626333) for long distance moves and will definitely call them for our next big move.

Complete scam. Find another carrier. I would give a zero star rating if it was an option - Look up…read moretheir reviews; this bait and switch pricing and holding onto customer deposits is their main strategy. Numerous customers, most of them female, have been scammed the exact same way. We have opened a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have been told there are multiple complaints against this company for this exact same issue. My daughter received a quote to ship her car for $1,550. She paid a $200 deposit to secure this quote. 3 weeks later they call to schedule the pickup and the price has jumped to almost $4,000. They would not refund her $200 deposit and told her she would owe them another $200 if she cancelled her appointment. They start with a low quote and secure the $200 deposit. If the price goes up and the customer won't accept, Fast Auto Ship got a $200 deposit for nothing as their original quote is functionally fraud (along with a BS $200 cancellation fee if the customer pays it). If the customer does accept their new much higher shipping rate, they are now shipping the car for the highest price we were quoted from any shipper. Stay away from them. There are many other car shipping options out there who actually have ethics and integrity and do not target women with their fraud.

Everyone I spoke to was polite and highly communicative, and their rates are very reasonable. The movers on both end were quick, careful and thorough, and my items arrived unscathed. Whew! I think everyone has a moving horror story (I know I do) so I strongly recommend doing your homework, (checking reviews, reading the Better Business Bureau complaints, getting at least 3 quotes) and hey, if a random reviewer such as myself can help make the hugely stressful task of moving a bit easier, then my job here is done!

I'm not sure who contacted who, but the day after Trico was supposed to show up and rescheduled (the day after my first review), Johnny a general manager reached out to me and literally saved the day. As I mentioned, the biggest concern that led to my review was two pronged: (1) lack of communication, follow though, and an unapologetic approach and, (2) leaving me stranded to hire alternate movers in a pinch and cancel a business trip. Johnny fixed it all. He was sincere and honest in his apology to me, worked diligently to fix the errors on Trico's end, rescheduled my move for the following day, communicated every step of the way, and made sure we reached an agreement that seemed fair for both parties in light of what occurred. Our belongings even arrived safely in Seattle a couple days early! I had planned to wait until the move was complete to update this review, and now that it is I can confidently say these guys are all they're cracked up to be. Our possessions were wrapped carefully, marked, labeled, and organized on both the front and back end. Johnny stayed in contact with me, constantly checking in. And their prices are beyond competitive. I can't recommend them enough. I just wish I knew Johnny personally so I could give him a hug. I hope someone from Trico sees this and gives him a raise.
