Payment was easy and their customer service team is so fast to respond to emails. The pickup was right in the middle of their estimated 3-day window. The driver will meet you in a large parking lot for pickup (ie Home Depot, Walmart, etc). They were nice enough to come to a big lot in the Domain right by my house! Took all of 5 minutes to hand off the car. Best of all, my car was delivered SUPER fast. It arrived to Detroit two days after the pickup, way ahead of the 5-7 day ETA. The driver met my family at a grocery store lot close to home and the handoff was quick and easy. Very pleased with my experience and would recommend to anyone shipping their car out of Austin!

I would recommend this company located in Austin I'm in California temporary so I had my car come from Austin Texas to Orange County California the service was prompt and everyone was very communicative even when I had questions via e mail the response was very quick. From the first encounter on-site to the last, I had only bad interactions and even worse results. I was completely taken advantage of after being left in a bad predicament. They handled my belongings very poorly which resulted in a large amount of damage. They underestimated the job so much that my young niece had to drive a 26ft rental truck herself. I would never recommend them for any type of service. I was overcharged for negligent service.

I even made an error in scheduling the pickup which they helped correct at short notice. Terms and conditions were clearly communicated. I was allowed 100lbs of trunk storage so that was a plus! (FYI: S2S is an agent and not the carrier itself.) They also provided a limited $100k insurance for the car (with some terms) included in the quote. They would not assume liability for any items stored in the car itself and that's perfectly understandable in context of the nature of the move. The carrier contacted me separately and coordinated a pickup. They too were very polite and communicative. The trailer understandably could not be driven into residential areas, so I had to drive out a few miles to meet the transporter both at Austin and San Diego. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend their services.

I worked primarily with Jake J., who was responsive, honest, and patient. He guided me through the process and followed up with me after we spoke on multiple occasions. When I asked him about a cheaper quote that I had received from a different moving company (they do their best to match quotes), he was honest with me about that particular company's reputation, providing me with links to unbiased and credible reviews (which were consistently poor and unfavorable). I know that some people may think that Jake was just trying to get my business, but he told me this: "Even if you don't use us, I would urge you not to use them. I'd be happy knowing that in the end you are in good hands even if it's not us." The main thing I gained from my interactions with Cross Country Movers was more knowledge. Moving can be stressful and confusing, but after speaking with Jake and asking him all sorts of questions, I feel much more confident in making moving decisions and choices. I truly felt taken care of with Jake. He was like my moving guardian angel! The only reason why I didn't end up going with Jake and Cross Country Movers was because my dad and brother are actually helping me out (the most cost effective option for me!). We hired Five Star Logix on 08/12/2024 to transport a mobile home trailer from Iraan, TX, to Chapel…read moreHill, NC. The initial quote was $4,951, but we requested a winch for safe loading/unloading, increasing the cost by $650 to $5,601. Communication issues began immediately. Five Star Logix set a delivery date for Tuesday, August 27, but on Monday, August 26, they notified us--just 30 minutes in advance--that the trailer was about to arrive, and without the requested winch. This caused a last-minute scramble, as our unloading arrangements weren't scheduled until the next day. We managed to secure a truck with a hitch, but unloading without a winch was risky, frustrating, and resulted in the trailer bottoming out. Afterward, we contacted Five Star Logix about the issues. They admitted fault but initially offered only a $100 refund. After a lengthy email exchange, they increased the offer to $300, claiming the remaining $350 was a non-refundable deposit to Shiply, the third-party service we used to book the job. We accepted the initial $300 refund, and began correspondence with Shiply. However, Shiply clarified that they are a neutral service and were not responsible for refunds, that we would need to work it out with the transportation provider. They gave us the breakdown of fees to Shiply, however, which indicated 14.3% of the total amount went to them. Based on our calculations, roughly $556.93 of the $650 winch fee went to Five Star Logix. We requested a compromise refund of $256.93 on November 10th (less the $300 already refunded) and they promised to look into it further. It's now December 21 and we have not heard back. Five Star Logix failed to deliver services, miscommunicated repeatedly, lied to both us and the delivery driver, and dragged us through a frustrating 39-message exchange. Despite admitting fault, they refused to fully refund the $650 we paid for a winch they never provided. This experience has left us feeling frustrated, tired, and ripped off.

This put us in a bad spot since we were supposed to be moving out of state... that got delayed. There is no communication, no punctuality, and no professionalism.
