Loved the care you gave us, glad I didn't give you the $730. I bet the work would have been done just as carefully as your parking.

Dear Arbor Auto works, Thank you for wasting 3 days of my time and literally trying to hustle me as for every penny and fix along the way. We took our Saturn in seeing as it was starting but not staying running. My boyfriend had been trying to fix it but was certain the issue was somewhere unreachable without a lift. We dropped it off around 9 or 10 am Monday, talked to the girl at the front about what we thought the issue was and waited for their call back....and waited and waited. Tuesday afternoon, 4pm rolls around and we finally hear back. The ignition coil modual is out and it's going to cost us $730+ to fix and they still weren't sure it would "solve the problem." 730$ to fix a 95 Saturn, my eyes just about popped out. Thankfully we still have mechanic friends back home who kindly informed us that the modual GM direct price is $ 240 max and the Auto zone price is $160. The labor is easy, 4 bolts with an 8mm" wrench then just take out the old and screw in the new. So how did we get from $200 maybe even $300 with labor to over 730? When we asked the girl at the front her answer was "We don't go to Auto Zone for parts We are an alternative to a dealership." WHAT?! This tiny local hole in the wall auto shop is trying to compare themselves to a dealership in price and parts, but not customer service or time? When my boyfriend smarted off to her saying "This is ridiculous" she smarted right back "No, your attitude is ridiculous." So in short Don't ask for a breakdown of your estimate unless you want attitude from the desk girl. Overall we had the car towed home, to install the part ourselves, were charged $106 in "diagnostics" and threatened with a garage fee if we didn't get it out of there soon enough. Funny seeing it was parked in the lot, not a garage ,and was iterally smashed up against the rock barrier so hard it knocked it the rock off.. So if you're looking to get the run around, hustled, and insulted I'd definitely recommend Arbor Auto. If you are looking for quality care , a modicrum of patience, explanations on cost and labor, honestly I'd go anywhere else. Side note: in the time it took me to write this, the car is running and fixed....No thanks to Arbor.....

I went in for a car inspection. The service rep was very nice, and the car inspection was complete in 20 minutes. Thanks!

Because it was an expensive repair, I called Winn at Arbor to discuss my options (Do I make the repair or sell?).

There are mechanics... and then there are the tired saints standing at the edge of civilization…read moreholding together the fragile emotional ecosystem known as "people who need their car to start tomorrow." Buddha's Garage is the second one. Dave has the energy of a man who has looked directly into the screaming mechanical abyss of humanity and simply sighed, grabbed a wrench, and fixed it anyway. I swear half the vehicles in that shop arrive after being spiritually wounded somewhere else. Other mechanics will look at your engine like medieval doctors diagnosing ghosts. Dave looks at it once, tilts his head slightly like a jazz musician hearing a wrong note, and suddenly knows your alternator was installed backwards by somebody named Tyler in 2019. And here's the wild part: he's honest. Like deeply, suspiciously honest. The kind of honest that makes you uncomfortable because you forgot businesses could still operate without trying to sell you seventeen imaginary emergencies. Dave will straight up tell you cheaper alternatives, better options, things you can wait on, things you DON'T need. I almost wanted to ask him if he understood capitalism. The customer service feels less like a business and more like your truck wandered into a monastery where everyone took vows of kindness and diagnostic accuracy. Meanwhile other shops are out here playing roulette with socket sets: "Hmmm yes, perhaps your issue is... all of the parts." Then Buddha's Garage fixes it in an afternoon and somehow charges you like they still believe in human dignity. Also -- Dave knows an absolutely terrifying amount about vehicles. Not "guy who watches YouTube tutorials" knowledge. I mean ancient-library-hidden-under-the-desert knowledge. The kind where you start explaining the noise your car makes and he already knows the answer before you finish making the sound effect. At this point I'd trust Buddha's Garage with anything mechanical. My car. My lawn mower. A damaged submarine. If NASA called and said a shuttle was making a weird clicking noise, I'd probably hand them Dave's number. I'm going there no matter what. If I move across the state, I'll crawl back on flaming rims like a pilgrim returning to holy ground.

I consented to an oil change and asked the rep (nonmechanic) what the other terminology meant.... I left to get a second opinion. I AM SO HAPPY I WENT TO JUKES! They saved me probably $2,000, provided me education about the codes as how they related to my vehicle and provided future recommendations as how to keep my car in the best condition. It was so quick, no hard sells, and was a friendly environment. They will be my first opinion from now on!

My husband and I have been customers of Juke with our two vehicles for typical maintenance and…read morethey've always been reliable, so when my brakes suddenly went out on my Jeep, I went to Juke for help. It was easy to make the appointment to have the Jeep towed in and they got back to me by the end of the day with the diagnostic. My brake line had blown out and they were going to replace it. The next day they called to tell me there were no brake lines available for my Jeep anywhere with MOPAR, or any other manufacturer. People in my situation are all waiting months for these things on back order. Most shops would have probably told me to come tow this Jeep out of their way until a brake line was available. Not Juke! They thought outside the box and let me know a hydraulic shop they work with could build the part for me, and it would only be $80 more! Perfect! Even though they had to run around town with these brake lines, and rely on another shop to hunt down parts and fabricate custom brake lines for me, they had my Jeep back to me after just 6 business days! The other great thing is Miguel kept me updated the whole time and I never had to worry about if my vehicle was being taken care of. The people at Juke actually care about their customers and I recommend them to everyone I know.
