We hired Five Star Logix on 08/12/2024 to transport a mobile home trailer from Iraan, TX, to Chapel Hill, NC. The initial quote was $4,951, but we requested a winch for safe loading/unloading, increasing the cost by $650 to $5,601. Communication issues began immediately. Five Star Logix set a delivery date for Tuesday, August 27, but on Monday, August 26, they notified us--just 30 minutes in advance--that the trailer was about to arrive, and without the requested winch. This caused a last-minute scramble, as our unloading arrangements weren't scheduled until the next day. We managed to secure a truck with a hitch, but unloading without a winch was risky, frustrating, and resulted in the trailer bottoming out. Afterward, we contacted Five Star Logix about the issues. They admitted fault but initially offered only a $100 refund. After a lengthy email exchange, they increased the offer to $300, claiming the remaining $350 was a non-refundable deposit to Shiply, the third-party service we used to book the job. We accepted the initial $300 refund, and began correspondence with Shiply. However, Shiply clarified that they are a neutral service and were not responsible for refunds, that we would need to work it out with the transportation provider. They gave us the breakdown of fees to Shiply, however, which indicated 14.3% of the total amount went to them. Based on our calculations, roughly $556.93 of the $650 winch fee went to Five Star Logix. We requested a compromise refund of $256.93 on November 10th (less the $300 already refunded) and they promised to look into it further. It's now December 21 and we have not heard back. Five Star Logix failed to deliver services, miscommunicated repeatedly, lied to both us and the delivery driver, and dragged us through a frustrating 39-message exchange. Despite admitting fault, they refused to fully refund the $650 we paid for a winch they never provided. This experience has left us feeling frustrated, tired, and ripped off. read more

If it was possible to leave a 0/5 star review, I would. We scheduled the move with ample time in advance. They asked us for a 5 business day window of pick up. There was zero communication leading up to the pick up window. There was zero communication during the pick up window. The final day of pick up came and there was still no driver scheduled. This was completely unacceptable. They rarely answered the phone or returned calls. Emails received what appeared to be automated responses as they said virtually the same thing in every response. This put us in a bad spot since we were supposed to be moving out of state... that got delayed. There is no communication, no punctuality, and no professionalism. AVOID FIVE STAR LOGIX LLC AT ALL COSTS! Allen Melikian's company is a complete disaster. They take your money, fail to deliver, and lie to your face. After paying for vehicle pickup services, they failed to show up for 11 DAYS, causing me $550 in unnecessary parking fees. Their customer service is non-existent, and they only respond with empty promises and excuses. They have no intention of providing the services they promise. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR BUSINESS. They will take your money and leave you with nothing but headaches and financial losses. Zero stars, and I hope they go out of business soon. read more

I had a fifth wheel moved from Oregon to Washington. I can't say enough about George the driver. Pretty much everything went wrong for me. He spent 3 hours getting it hitched things had been broken and I was leaving a marriage so it was a very difficult and emotional time. George stayed with me and followed me to Washington as I was having car trouble too. if the world was full of more George's this world would be a better place. I have a very terrible experience with Five Star Logix. I have booked a car shipment more than a month ago. I have been contacting them every week to confirm the pickup. The service personnel said the pick up is guaranteed by the day of request but the time slot is not. Unfortunately, they failed to pick up the vehicle on the day I requested and hence my relocation plan was derailed. STAY AWAY - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I am submitting this review because my hope is that no one else gets taken advantage of the way I have. Five Star Logix hires third party drivers without insurance (on their trucks or trailers) to transport your vehicle and they have zero integrity in holding the drivers or themselves accountable when something goes wrong. My vehicle was damaged in a fire while in transport. The driver unhooked his truck and drove away from the scene leaving $24K in fees with the local towing company who came out to assist. My brand new vehicle that I never had in my procession is still being held at a tow yard because the bill goes UNPAID by Five Star Logix, their Insurance company, and the uninsured driver who THEY HIRED without verifying insurance. This has been an absolute nightmare for my family and I. I am paying on a vehicle I have never even had in my possession and they don't care. They refused to provide a rental car and no longer are responding to my calls in my effort to work towards resolution. I have hired an attorney to move forward with a civil suit against them. They will scam you for extra money after you approve the booking, they will assign you with unprofessional scamming drivers that will come up with excuses and fake problems to make you pay extra of what agreed on. Be aware. My shipment got delayed and they made me pay $600 extra claiming that the supporting stand of the shipment is broken and need to be welded, when i asked for photos of the broken stand and welding invoice, they refused to provide that. Eventually i had to pay the extra just to get my shipment delivered because it was going to a customer and i dont want to cause more delays, the driver they assigned to me was aggressive and sounded like an ex-con. Exceeded all my expectations. I was very nervous going with this company knowing they are a broker but the reviews overall were good and the price was very competitive so I decided to take a chance. I need pickup between specific dates and communicated that upfront. They were prompt with following up with me and confirmed that pickup would be between the dates I needed. They were great with communication throughout the entire process and the company that actually moved my furniture/goods was outstanding! Five Star Logix LLC is a new company in the Auto Transport Industry. Brand New July 2022. In order to attain new business they lied to me. They said they were in business for 20 years. Total lie. They promised an exact day for pickup. A lie - they were 5 days late. They said they new which companies were good and which carriers were bad. A lie. They put my Mercedes Benz on an F Rated carrier that damaged my car. Both the broker (Five STar Logix LLC) and the carrier (Reliable Auto Carrier) blocked my number the day after they damaged my car. They refused to take responsibility for the damage. Not only were they very very late, they damaged my car (over $2200.00 were of damage). It would be cheaper to fix it myself as apposed to hiring an attorney to go after these idiots. Consider yourself warned. Do no trust this guy Allen Melikian (heavy accent - foreigner) who feels he is "above the law" and can do whatever he wants to consumers.
