DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Such a complete and utter scam. Booked with the company about one month…read morebefore I needed my car transported. They game me a great quote and "had several drivers in your area." I was assured multiple times that everything was set to go in the week leading up to the pickup time. I received a call from James the morning of the pickup and he told me that the rate had gone from $699 to $1500 due to "you know, gas increase and stuff." He said this was the only driver he could find... and the cherry on top is that they changed the pickup date to a later time. They want to charge $200 for the cancellation. This company is a joke. Do not use them!

They will message you everyday keep bugging you till you booked with them and whatever price you want they will agree to it in writing via text. Now once they send you the contract and you SINGED IT thats when you are SCREWED. They will charged you up front fee which you will never get back. And then they will outsource the job to whoever they find for you with much higher price then they agreed to. And if you ask for your money back they will say its a $200 cancelation fee which was mentioned in the contract. I had much cheaper quotes from USHIP but I went with them because the guy messaged me everyday. And they charged me 150 dollars extra. They attitude changes after you SINGED the contact.... Excellent experience with Austin Auto Shipping this week!…read more I needed to ship my car from Austin to Detroit and George was able to get me a quote and ETA for delivery very quickly. Payment was easy and their customer service team is so fast to respond to emails. The pickup was right in the middle of their estimated 3-day window. The driver will meet you in a large parking lot for pickup (ie Home Depot, Walmart, etc). They were nice enough to come to a big lot in the Domain right by my house! Took all of 5 minutes to hand off the car. Best of all, my car was delivered SUPER fast. It arrived to Detroit two days after the pickup, way ahead of the 5-7 day ETA. The driver met my family at a grocery store lot close to home and the handoff was quick and easy. Very pleased with my experience and would recommend to anyone shipping their car out of Austin!

I called on a Tuesday evening they are located in Austin and he informed me that they could go the following day Wednesday through Friday. On Wednesday got notification from the driver that he was there to pick up my vehicle. My vehicle arrived very quickly on Friday. I was expecting it more like Saturday I am very happy with this company and the driver. I had no issues. I would recommend this company located in Austin I'm in California temporary so I had my car come from Austin Texas to Orange County California the service was prompt and everyone was very communicative even when I had questions via e mail the response was very quick. Thank you and I would definitely use you in the future if I need to transport vehicles and recommend to family or friends and anyone who's reading this review. If I decide not ti drive back home I know whom I am calling.

Horrible Experience - Avoid This Company! I can't express enough how terrible my experience with…read moreCross Country Movers has been. From the start, the communication was absolutely dreadful. Once they picked up my stuff, I never heard a word from them. No updates, no tracking info, nothing. I had no idea where my belongings were or when they would arrive. The worst part? They completely overcharged me. The initial estimate was way lower than the final bill, and they tacked on extra, unexplained fees that were never mentioned during booking. It felt like they were just taking advantage of me at every turn. And now, even though it's been weeks, my stuff still isn't here! No one is giving me a clear answer or timeline. This company is a complete disaster and I wouldn't trust them with a single item, let alone an entire move. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable moving company. Cross Country Movers is an absolute nightmare. PS: I will write an complain everyday on here so people will know till my stuff come and all my stuff needs to come undamaged and nothing missing Sincerely ANTHONY WATKINS !!!

Cross Country Moving gave us a BINDING quote for a move from Austin to Portland. Many questions and…read moreback and forths - so the quote was definitely revisited more than once and top of mind - and we were obviously considering this company seriously to handle our move. When we went to book the move over the phone within the 48 hr window, the representative we'd been dealing with this whole time, Jason H., said that he'd made a mistake and that this "binding" estimate contained the wrong quote. He then increased the quote seamlessly through their portal by a $1000 more - under the same quote number, like this is what we'd been quoted all along. He was apologetic and pretended like his bosses wouldn't let him honor the original quote, but this felt awfully like a bait and switch. This company is operating in bad faith. Do not trust them.

Everyone I spoke to was polite and highly communicative, and their rates are very reasonable. The movers on both end were quick, careful and thorough, and my items arrived unscathed. Whew! I think everyone has a moving horror story (I know I do) so I strongly recommend doing your homework, (checking reviews, reading the Better Business Bureau complaints, getting at least 3 quotes) and hey, if a random reviewer such as myself can help make the hugely stressful task of moving a bit easier, then my job here is done!

So. Moving across the country can be stress inducing, so say the least. And you'll see from my…read moreprevious review that this particular move was not going as planned. I'm not sure who contacted who, but the day after Trico was supposed to show up and rescheduled (the day after my first review), Johnny a general manager reached out to me and literally saved the day. As I mentioned, the biggest concern that led to my review was two pronged: (1) lack of communication, follow though, and an unapologetic approach and, (2) leaving me stranded to hire alternate movers in a pinch and cancel a business trip. Johnny fixed it all. He was sincere and honest in his apology to me, worked diligently to fix the errors on Trico's end, rescheduled my move for the following day, communicated every step of the way, and made sure we reached an agreement that seemed fair for both parties in light of what occurred. Our belongings even arrived safely in Seattle a couple days early! I had planned to wait until the move was complete to update this review, and now that it is I can confidently say these guys are all they're cracked up to be. Our possessions were wrapped carefully, marked, labeled, and organized on both the front and back end. Johnny stayed in contact with me, constantly checking in. And their prices are beyond competitive. I can't recommend them enough. I just wish I knew Johnny personally so I could give him a hug. I hope someone from Trico sees this and gives him a raise.
