I would not recommend this company. Nick, Mia, and the rest of the crew really let us down. We booked our transport about a month and a half in advance and were given what we were told was a guaranteed price. When pickup day arrived, they couldn't find a driver and delayed the pickup by three days. Then, after finally locating a driver, they told us the price would increase by $800. That's completely unacceptable after quoting and confirming a price weeks in advance. Communication throughout the process was poor, and we were constantly left wondering what was going on. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I had my car shipped across the country, it was delivered at night and filthy from the travel, they marked damage on a paper but could not show me in person or remember what it was. Then I was told it was under the car so I signed. After washing it I found multiple scratches that were covered with a paint pen. I called and sent pictures to them and waited 3 weeks for a response with no communication. When I called the second time and showed them more scratches that were covered with a paint pen, and a dent, I was called a liar and Shady and told to GO FUCK MYSELF BY NICK THE MANAGER. The day of the scheduled pick up I receive a call asking for an additional $250 because the "driver" they hired was requesting more money. I would NOT recommend this company, I spoke with John numerous times and again and again I was told there would not be any additional fees to worry about. I booked to ship my vehicle to Florida and back. They were the highest quote, but after talking to Jack, he guaranteed the dates and price as that was my concern. Today is the last day to be picked up, he told me it would be another 200 dollars. I obviously didn't agree. They cancelled the transport and left me high and dry and now must rent a vehicle for 2700 for the 2 months I'll be in Florida instead of the 900 to get there and 800 back. If they didn't guarantee the price, I would be driving to florida. Do not trust anything they say. They are dishonest and will not keep their guarantee. They were supposed to pick up on Wednesday. That didn't happen, also Thursday no pickup and no communication. Finally on Friday they contacted me to inform me they have a driver but need additional 27% which was much higher than any other quote but it was now too late for me to find another transporter. These guys are the worst. They quoted me a price of $800 and then, on the day of the pickup, raised it to $975. Everything was set, so I had not choice but to do it. I told them to tell the driver it was really important to be at the pickup point within an hour of the time given, since the seller of the car was taking time off work to meet them, so of course the driver was late, and then cancelled altogether. This company gave me a quote of $525 my car was suppost to be picked up Saturday. Monday morning they called claiming I had to pay them $200 more because they cant find a driver to carry it for that price. I told them no. They claimed im breaking the agreement so I will not get my money back. I yold them they broke the agreement by not honoring the time nor the price quoted. I then called the owner of the business who LIED and claimed that i cant get a refund because i advertised with 2 other company. This is rediculous, why would i pay a deposit to 3 different companies to carry my car that made absolutely no sense. The most unethical auto transport company I have used to date. I have shipped my car from the South to New England and from New York to the Midwest. Here's how car shipping works now [July, 2023]. Any request you make online is posted on a board available to shippers who take bids and decided whether or not the payment is worthwhile enough for them to take your car. This is why a window of time is requested for pick up and drop off. This is why the bids vary so much. This is why it can be triple the price to pick up a car in NY, NY compared to a pick up in Nashville, TN. So buyer beware in general. No one has your best interests in mind. Back to Flix. I chose them because the pricing was in the middle from what I found. Not unbelievably inexpensive. Not over the top. I asked repeatedly if the price was locked in and guaranteed. Sam promised it would be. He also promised I would receive 48-hour notice of the pick up. To my surprise, 48 hours came and went. When I called to check the pick up status, the price jumped $100+ according to Nick. When I complained, we split the surcharge in half, but when the actual shipper called, the new $100+ surcharge was still in place and still my entire responsibility. When the pick up was finally scheduled, the 2hr. time window for pick up lapsed. I was also promised again and again it would happen by 10am by Flix. At 2:30pm I called the shipper only to find out they had "cancelled my order long ago." Flix never informed me. In two days, I would be on a plane! Flix promised to find another driver. Then they raised the price by nearly 25%! Flix assured me the shipper would arrive "either tonight or definitely by noon the next day [the day before my flight!]." Yeah, right. I ended up hiring a private driver at the very last minute. DO NOT BELIEVE FLIX. IN FACT, BE SKEPTICAL OF ANYTHING THAT ANY CAR SHIPMENT BROKER OR CARRIER SAYS. CHECK NOT ONLY BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND YELP, BUT ALSO Google "SAFER GOVERNMENT SITE" TO FIND OUT IF YOU ARE DEALING WITH A BROKER OR CARRIER, HOW MANY "POWER UNITS" [ie if they actually own trucks], AND HOW MANY MILES THEY COVER ANNUALLY. The hiccup was the initial staff member gave me one quote to include pricing and date about one week in advance but a few days before pick up the quote changed. However, Mike turned it around and worked with me (still competitively priced) and provided 5 star customer service throughout the transportation process. If I could give Flix Auto Transport ZERO stars, I would. My car was scheduled to be picked up last night, even though I urged their representative to schedule the pick-up for the following day. However, she insisted on having it picked up last night and assured me that it would be picked up at 9pm. At 4pm I got a call from the trucking company saying that their driver is going to leave/not pick-up my car, because he doesn't want to wait. At that point I had already booked my flight and hotel, and was planning to fly out at 7:30am the following morning. I begged them to wait and said I would make it to the pick-up location at 7pm - WHICH I DID. I dropped off the car, signed the papers, and left. An hour and a half later I got a call that they were not able to fit my car on the truck and I needed to come back to get my vehicle. So at that point, I was already going to miss my 7:30am flight the following morning. I get a call from Flix in then morning saying that they found another truck to pick up my car for $50 more than they originally quoted. I told them I wasn't paying more, and they agreed to the original rate, but could not tell me WHEN that day the car would be picked up, which I needed to know, because I was not willing to pay for ANOTHER night in the hotel - I already had to pay $150 to change my flight! The guy on the phone was rude and totally unprofessional. I told them to give me a refund and I would not be using their services. They're incompetent and can't be trusted. I was unable to get the cash right away , I called to cancel and all the guy could say to me is that he was going to go back and listen to the recording to which he was positive they told me that. I had a vehicle shipped to me using Flix Auto Transport and it was not a good experience. It was a "BAIT AND SWITCH" situation. They quoted me a reasonable price for me to lock in a bid with them, then 1 day close to shipping deadline they wanted to up the price by $300 knowing that the impound fees would start to rack up from the seller if I did not go with the additional cost. After many back and forth conversations I agreed to pay $100 more just to get the job done. This was my first time ever having a car ship across country and I didn't have any cash in my account, and I addressed that from the beginning with Flix Auto Transport only money on my credit card, and they said that was fine. Once the delivery driver called me and said he was an hour out from my address and did I have the cash. I told him I only had a credit card. He expressed that it was an only cash deal for the transport. I urgently came up with the cash he wanted and called Flix Auto Transport back with my concerns how they baited me just to get the deal. So, to whom ever is reading this, I had 20 or more different car transport companies calling me with a cheaper price than I got quoted from this company. Once you log in to any transport company it goes on a hotline to many of them wanting to outbid each other.
