I'm not sure who contacted who, but the day after Trico was supposed to show up and rescheduled (the day after my first review), Johnny a general manager reached out to me and literally saved the day. As I mentioned, the biggest concern that led to my review was two pronged: (1) lack of communication, follow though, and an unapologetic approach and, (2) leaving me stranded to hire alternate movers in a pinch and cancel a business trip. Johnny fixed it all. He was sincere and honest in his apology to me, worked diligently to fix the errors on Trico's end, rescheduled my move for the following day, communicated every step of the way, and made sure we reached an agreement that seemed fair for both parties in light of what occurred. Our belongings even arrived safely in Seattle a couple days early! I had planned to wait until the move was complete to update this review, and now that it is I can confidently say these guys are all they're cracked up to be. Our possessions were wrapped carefully, marked, labeled, and organized on both the front and back end. Johnny stayed in contact with me, constantly checking in. And their prices are beyond competitive. I can't recommend them enough. I just wish I knew Johnny personally so I could give him a hug. I hope someone from Trico sees this and gives him a raise.

They arrived promptly and gave me a heads up call, even bringing coffee. Did I mention my virtual complete lack of packing? Not a problem. The crew started with the big things first and we went down the line from there. Like everyone else in Austin I do and have done video, graphic, and web production as a free lancer. The crew recognized the equipment and even offered options on how to transport 'my baby,' an old classic Microsoft Enterprise server. Oh. About the laundered and totally unpacked dry cleaning I my closet. No problem, they offer five free hanging wardrobe boxes for transport, even going so far as to rehang my clothes at my new place. A few comparable companies gave me quotes at 150.00 more to start. Of course my prized art collection hanging on walls throughout my apartment slipped my mind to. My friend booked with them two months ago because she got a job in Texas and was asked to start immediately. (She's from Los Angeles). She basically had to pack her entire studio apartment on a Tuesday and be completely moved in by Sunday. She asked me for help and I told her it was going to be nearly impossible to get it all done since she couldn't find a mover to help her get all her things to a completely different state, but she found Cross Country. When the movers got to her apartment they realized she had A LOT of stuff. They helped us pack and load the smaller things into boxes to fit into her uhaul, and then they said they could deliver the furniture to her place so she wouldn't need to get another uhaul to drive over. The movers were super nice and were actually careful with her things when they were loading it into the truck. I wish I got their names so I could refer them in this review! (I've seen other movers toss boxes back and forth like they're not fragile before) I didn't meet my friend in Texas to help her unpack but she told me all of her furniture got there on Sunday morning and nothing was damaged so thank you to the guys that helped her pack her things! We both had a pleasant experience with this place, I'd definitely recommend this place if you need to move from state to state.

They all provided comprehensive explanations about the respective step in the move, and were helpful and patient beyond our expectations. Highlight of our move were: 1. No change in the price: Unlike what we had heard about notorious moving companies, with this company there was no change in the contract price. They gave us a quote according to our inventory when I first called, and did not charge extra in any other step. 2. Great packers: On the pick up date, a professional team packed our furniture in an indestructible way. 3. Transparent process: We received an email as soon as the 18 wheeler carrying our furniture left the source city, and received updates about the whereabouts of the truck on its way. 4. Early delivery: On the pick up date we were given a delivery window for delivery within up to 14 business days. They delivered our furniture only 9 days (business and non-business) after the pick up date. 5. No damage to furniture: The delivery was perfect with no damage to our furniture or any of the boxes and their contents.
