We met and dealt with Frank for the hardscape install on our 2 acre PV property. After it was all said and done I absolutely do not recommended this company and here is why: 1) they mismeasured and BUILT our pool and hot tub the wrong size! We had very detailed plans from a reputable landscape architect so this shouldn't have happened. This resulted in our landscape architect having to redesign all the surrounding pool pavers and pathways because the pool was bigger by 2 feet!! 2) they built steps going into our pool that were essentially non functional. When Greenscapes finally admitted to the mismeasured pool, which we agreed to not have them rip the whole thing and fix. Frank did agree to rip out the steps and rebuild those. 3) only after moving in to our home and experiencing significant rain we realized that they didn't compact the dirt before laying pavers, drains, or concrete. We literally had drains pop out of the ground, the pavers for our driveway stated sinking in, standing water collected near our foundation because the drains were instilled ABOVE the grade so no water could actually drain. We ended up going out of pocket and hired a very reputable and knowledgeable large landscaping firm to fix all these issues. 4) the concrete company they used to pour our main front walkway came on TWO different days so obviously the concrete didn't match between batches. We had to have the concrete sandblasted and acid washed to attempt to match. Overall, save yourself the headache and don't use this company.

This is our second home today and will be our retirement home in a few years, so getting it right mattered. We had already started plans with another designer, but that relationship did not work out--the designer simply didn't "get" us. Rob was different from the very beginning. He listened carefully to everything we wanted and immediately understood our priorities. When I explained that we had a small yard and wanted to make use of every inch, he fully embraced that challenge. Our vision included an outdoor kitchen with both a gas grill and a Kamado grill, a fountain, a beehive fireplace, pavers covering roughly 80% of the yard, and a cactus-forward desert aesthetic. We were also considering a pergola and a covered extension. We started the planning process months in advance, and Rob was patient throughout. We went through multiple design iterations as we refined and dialed in the plan, and he never rushed the process. His large-scale, highly detailed drawings were extremely professional and gave us confidence before construction ever began. We were out of state at our primary residence for roughly the first 75% of the project. I had cameras installed at the front of the property and could watch some of the early progress remotely. About halfway through the project, I came out to select the granite for the outdoor kitchen, and with help from Rob's crew chief, I installed cameras in the backyard as well. That allowed me to watch the final stages--planting, fireplace construction, and finishing work--from out of state. Rob's crew is exceptional. They work like a tight-knit family. They are detail-oriented and do not cut corners. I watched hours of them working. They actively consult with each other, debate angles and placement, and redo work when something doesn't come out exactly right. They are extremely competent, and when rework is required, they take it on without hesitation or attitude. The yard was beautifully graded, the patio layout is graceful and well balanced, and the team followed the plans precisely--including plant placement, rock selection, and berm design. I rarely encounter workers whose standards match my own, but this crew is focused, disciplined, and holds itself to a very high bar. We are extremely pleased with the final outcome and would confidently recommend Coconut Contracting to anyone looking to create a high-quality, thoughtfully designed outdoor living space.

When the maintenance crew would be here, they would be sleeping underneath the tree they would be here for maybe 30 minutes and the allocated time was one hour and then they would leave. The communication with Rob was terrible. My friend referred me to Rob and she is so embarrassed that she referred me. They charge over and beyond what other companies charge which I did not mind paying thinking that I was going to get superb service which I did not I would not recommend.

We began by ripping out existing plants, pavers, brown gravel, and artificial turf for both a putting green and a general use area. We started by building a pool (a cheap plug for Dolphin Pools who did an amazing job). After the pool was completed, the second half of the project was ready to begin. This is where Colorworks stepped up to the plate. I could not begin this without mentioning one of the owners, "Jon Hammel". Colorworks Landscape Design, Inc. received rave reviews on Google and Yelp, so we reached out and were promptly scheduled for a complimentary estimate. Upon Jon's arrival, I could sense his excitement and creativity as he envisioned transforming our dream backyard into the upgraded space we desired. Although we had a plan in place, Jon skillfully incorporated his unique ideas, resulting in a comprehensive rendering of the project. We were immediately convinced that Colorworks was the ideal choice for our project. What truly set Jon apart was his unwavering honesty and thoughtful approach to refining our existing plan, ensuring that it reached its full potential. I want to clearly state that there are many stages to such a massive project. There are always going to be delays, and we had a few. Additional parts needed to be ordered, and of course, the weather did not always agree (lots of rain). Since our backyard is not the largest, every inch of the project required attention, and Jon fully comprehended that. The project included 3 large retaining walls, 164 Sq ft. of pearlescent travertine, 18 Indian laurel ficus trees with 6 tons of topsoil, 450 sq ft. of Daytona 80 0z turf, 4 stoned columns on a pergola, a wood accent backdrop for pots, and white rocks. This also included taping into existing irrigation drip, electrical lines, and reusing leftover pavers in other areas. Jon (along with our ideas) was the brains of the project, but Cesar Aldama is the contractor who brought it all together. Cesar, along with Ginato, is an excellent team. They showed up on time and worked tirelessly each day, and consistently cleaned up before they left. They always treated our home with respect, and we couldn't help but notice. Cesar is an expert in construction projects and possesses extensive knowledge in the field. My wife, being meticulous and OCD, wanted perfection in the job. Cesar meticulously coordinated with us on every aspect of the project, providing valuable advice on what could and couldn't be done. He is truly an artist, and we couldn't thank him and Ginato enough. The straightforward truth is that Colorworks fulfilled their promise! I can't forget to mention other members of the team that did amazing work: Jeff (owner), Mark, Manny (Turf installer and his awesome crew).
