I was having a lot of difficulty finding replacement panels, and had spent weeks looking for them online and by contacting local chimney sweeps near my home in California. Just as I was about to give up, I found Arizona Fireplaces. The staff there were extremely helpful and took the time needed to find the panels for my fireplace. The panels arrived only five days after I ordered them. I ran into an issue while installing them, but the helpful staff at Arizona Fireplaces were able to help me resolve the issue over the phone. I was a walk in retail customer looking for a new set of artificial logs to replace the soot covered ones in our gas fireplace. Skyler Swartz greeted cordially and patiently showed me a large number of alternatives. I chose one and paid for it by credit card. The next day I found out that it was possible to clean our existing logs and called to ask if I could cancel the order. My request was politely granted and my card credited immediately. My bad. I had the displeasure this morning of having their truck tailgate and drive extremely aggressively. He tailgated me on Scottsdale Road, tailgated me on the 202 westbound on-ramp and then tried to pass me as the lanes were merging. I didn't let him because it was dangerous, but then he honked, put his brights on me and tailgated me even more aggressively. I was referred to Arizona Fireplace. As we entered the store on a Friday morning, we were almost immediately greeted by Nikki who was at the front desk. She was incredible and most helpful. She also has a sense of humor which was fun. She took care of us through the entire process until we selected the fireplace we wanted. She stated that the fireplace was not present at this site but she would get it delivered to this store and contact me Monday with next steps. Sure enough, I received a text from her around 9am stating the fireplace was in. I went to the store and was again greeted by Nikki and also met Walt who was also most helpful and went out of his way as Nikki did to answer my questions and provided the requested quotes for Mantles. I highly recommend AZ Fireplace as the customer service was second to none and the experience was enjoyable. Although, the fireplace isn't inexpensive, I left there feeling the value was worth every penny and confident they stand behind their products! Our GC hired Arizona Fireplaces to install gas fireplaces. We have been very disappointed with the communication, or lack thereof and poor service. One of the fireplaces hasn't been working right because it was installed wrong and it also has these black boxes very visible. Arizona Fireplaces says this is how all the fireplaces look after installation which is shocking because these aren't pictured on any of the photos on their website. Stay away! Pilot would not light on 25yr old gas fireplace. Office asked lots of specific questions about the unit to be sure tech would have parts. No parts needed. Simple adjustment and cleaned entire unit for $230. Tech said these older units are so well made that they last forever. Bumble Bee plumbing charged $60 to tell me I should spend $3500. After installation of a $10,000+ fireplace, the flame is barely noticeable, the turn on switch doesn't consistently turn on the fire and their only response is that it "tested correctly". Technician lied to me and said that they can't have the flame above 50% of the height of the fireplace. The flame doesn't even get to the top of the logs as you can see in the picture when it is set on high. After insertion, they didn't even bother to clean up the construction debris. I wouldn't recommend them because of the lack of professionalism, dishonesty and low quality product. read more

For over 1 month I have speaking to Kent T at Arizona Fireplaces and discussed my need for handles for my fireplace. After giving him the information required for the handles and explaining what I needed he said he would look into the correct fireplace and order the handles, He said he would return my call as soon as he ordered them and it would not be no more then $15.00 This was two weeks after our discussion. I called several times when I had not heard from him and spoke to individuals that said he was not in the office and other excuses. It has been over a month and I called the main office and was transferred to Kent T who once again said he had tried to contact me and would check the warehouse as to where the handles were and call me back. Only good thing about these folks was the actual installation - otherwise, don't bother. From order to install was 4 times the quoted lead time with no updates, I had to call to find out. Then, one year after install it quit working (OEM is Grand Canyon Gas Logs). Called for service and was quoted a "starting" price of $245 with a lead time of 2 months. Went in with my husband. We waited for over 10 minutes. Not one associate acknowledged we were there. Unbelievable !

We had soot buildup on the mantle. Arizona fireplaces came to inspect our gas fireplace, spent only a few minutes and misdiagnosed a construction issue. We called the builder, Camelot Homes, who promptly came to investigate: the logs we're improperly positioned (my fault). Simple fix, no charge. Arizona Fireplaces is demanding a $185 trip charge, for doing nothing and for misdiagnosis. We understand trip charges but the amount requested is completely unreasonable. We offered a compromise but the company is not bending. Too bad they believe $185 is worth more than their public image. read more

Stay away! Can't believe a Local Owned business is run with No customer service. Scheduled Fireplace service/maintenance appointment, schedule was 2-1/2 weeks out....that was understandable. I received good communication (text/emails) to confirm the 6 Dec appointment. Day of service, No call or info on a window of time. Called to inquire at 8:30a, response was Tech 'didn't call you?....will have service call you back." No call....I called back at 11am....same response. Told Tech Dave will call. Dave calls at 12, says 'I thought I had called earlier'....No! Schedule to come to me would be third on his list, looking to be around 3-4pm. Told him I understand goofs, have your Customer Service call me back to reschedule and consideration to mixup for a earlier future date. I didn't get that call back. I scheduled with another Business with their On line portal for a future date....Owner Michael called me personally to ask he had a Tech working my area the next day 7th...'would this work?'......Yes! Worst customer service. Ordered a $6000 LED fireplace. Told they would hold until the contractor was ready to install. When we were ready to pick up they said "you already picked it up." They gave the same fireplace to someone else that bought the same product but pulled up our invoice and had the other customer sign the invoice. Obviously they did not check invoice numbers. But 5 phone calls of "Are you SURE you didn't pick up the fireplace ?". Ridiculous. When I went to pick up the fireplace I was the lone customer in the showroom with at least 4 salespeople or receptionists on phones or computers. I stood there for at least 2-3 minutes before even being acknowledged. We get it ready to install and notice that the fireplace the salesman showed us in the catalogue that we indicated that we wanted had a chrome faceplate. What we unboxed didn't have ANY faceplate. They failed to mention that you need to purchase a faceplate SEPARATELY, and that the company does not sell the chrome faceplate. The catalogue was displaying a custom-made faceplate. The salesperson did not even know that and had to investigate and call back. Thank goodness we are using our own contractors for the install. My interior designer has scratched them off her list of vendors to use. read more

Absolutely worse customer service! I spent a fortune on 3 fireplaces and one of the fireplaces switch works randomly since the install. Have had them out twice and they charged me $185.00 for a problem that will probably happen again instead of replacing the switch. Since I don't use it 8 months out of the year and as a result of COVID they still billed me for a repeating problem.
