Also, I was able to sell the house about a year ago with handsome gain. Now, in the new house in Gilbert, AZ, I have similar work done for the courtyard, fountain, mantle, fireplace, and TV surround. Carving art on stone is done by the artist and is hard work. Setting up and installing the heavy stone requires skill and equipment. Considering these, his charges are very reasonable. Mr. Villa is very experienced and knowledgeable about his work. He has a great sense of visual artwork on stone and aesthetics. Mr. Villa is very personable, communicable, and professional. We started working…read morewith Theresa as kitchen designer, and we enjoyed working with her over a many months long timeframe. Theresa has very good ideas, but even more importantly, she listened to what we wanted and made it happen. I have been less than decisive throughout the remodel process, but Theresa was very patient with me and the changes I requested. Where Affinity really shines is in their installation and follow up. Our installation was pushed back a little from original date, but that was okay as we still had other work going on in the house. The men installing the cabinets did an excellent job ( I did not realize how excellent until I used a different cabinet company for my laundry and master bath). There were some stain intensity variations on some of the cabinet fronts. Affinity sends out an inspector after each install. The inspector ordered several new cabinet faces to replace ones which he felt were not acceptable. The current faces stayed on until the new ones came in. Unfortunately, there were still some light/dark issues. The inspector ordered all new faces on one side of kitchen to make sure they all matched. I did not have to ask for anything; HE felt the cabinets were not acceptable. When replacement fronts came in, the installer replaced the fronts and adjusted the hinges. We love our new cabinets. They were expensive, but you are paying for the service, both in design and installation. I saved money by using a different company for my laundry and master bath, and the quality of those cabinets is very good, but the difference in professionalism and installation was night and day compared to other company

After visiting several contractors and seeing their cabinetry, we were quite underwhelmed. We visited the affinity showroom and met with Theresa and things started to completely turn around for us. From our first meeting until the renovation was done, we were completely and utterly blown away. The white glove service, the attention to detail, the relentless Planning and exceptional communication is what sets this company apart. I should also mention that there were at least four or five follow up visits to fine tune, and make sure everything was meticulous after the initial installation. I could not imagine ever hiring another organization to do cabinetry other than affinity. If I could give six out of five stars I would. Kudos to Theresa, Tom, and the entire Affinity team.

Excellent Sales, Poor Workmanship, Ignored by the Company…read more I found AZ Shade Masters at a recent home show and was impressed with their presentation, product, and information about pergola options. I obtained bids from four firms and AZ Shade Masters provided a detailed and competitive bid for my planned 4K Aluminum pergola. Unfortunately, the installation is where things went sideways, and AZ Shade Masters ignored my concerns: 1. White caulk on the roof is visible from ground level - The installer advised "I" can fix this by painting the caulk with matching spray paint, but it may take several coats. 2. Closer inspection with a ladder revealed caulk haphazardly applied with drips left wherever they fell. 3. Frame beams were cut too short, and gaps are filled with wide beads of painted caulk. 4. Metal shavings were left in the rain gutter along with a metal scrap cut to allow water drainage. 5. Gussets of unequal length were accidentally installed requiring the correctly sized shorter gusset to be replaced to match the longer to avoid leaving exposed holes in the posts. The installers had the design plan in hand but suggested they could install my pergola however I wanted. I stressed several times they should follow the plan and was forced to correct them when they attempted to deviate (for example: eliminating gussets when they were to be included and sloping the frame beams instead of installing them level). One even suggested I was "OCD" for insisting they follow the plan. (I DID accept one of their suggestions and shortened the pergola height by six inches which was a solid recommendation). After discovering the caulk issues, I texted photos to both my salesman and the company manager. I also left voicemails and a message with the showroom. I connected with the salesman who advised some aspects of the caulking are "normal" but not all and he deferred to his manager for any remediation. I have heard nothing since from AZ Shade Masters. While the crew was personable, installation quality leaves much to be desired (the photos speak for themselves). I should note the installers have the customer sign a form that there are no concerns after installation is complete. I signed as I was largely satisfied and the pergola looks good at first glance, but closer inspection reveals issues not apparent from ground level. These issues combined with the lack of response from the company prevent me from recommending AZ Shade Masters.

After a drunk driver ended our contractor's career at the start of our project, DKB stored our delivered cabinets for free until we hired a new contractor. When the cabinets were mis-measured too tall and covered our AC vents, DKB ordered another properly sized set immediately at no charge. Despite these setbacks and more, Randy Smith (store manager) kept constant communication and always followed through. Kevin, a 9-year technician, wrapped-up the project with the highest skill level, craftsmanship, and eye for detail. While the project took longer than expected, it was done right and perfectly. Keep in mind that these are custom field installations with each order being manufactured to spec. The level of coordination with the manufacturer, sales, design, installation, and detailing requires highly seasoned experts in your corner like Randy and Kevin. We are completely happy with our American made cabinets and project partners at DKB.
