If you have a small project they may be able to take care of you, but if you have a large high end project find somebody else. Quality and workmanship is low end. They do not have a quality control process in place and expect the customer to walk their job and inform them of repairs needed. When I asked one of his guys he said he has told them they need to have a QC person walk the jobs but it never gets done. My garage cabinet doors still do not line up and some drag and do not shut properly. Save yourself the headaches. read more

She was thorough and thoughtful with her suggestions, easy to work with, and very patient as I went through multiple changes with her. My scheduled date of install was pushed back since not all of the product would be in. Come installation...not all the product was in so my laundry room was incomplete for a month. But the best part was the insane installation of the closet. I had to miss 2 more days of work for them to come back a second time to repair the closet and finish laundry room, then a third time to repair the repair (unlevel base and edges chopped up from a dull saw). For all the BS I had to put up with, and the extra 2 days of work I had to miss. I asked for a discount...I got a whopping $100 off. Would not recommend this company. read more

We just had desert sky redo our master bedroom closet. It's a big closet with high ceiling and was an extensive job. Kristen did a great job designing something that would meet our needs, the demo/painting work was done on a timely basis and looks great, and the install team showed up the next day and did a very good job putting everything together. That was on a Saturday, and the same team was back on Monday to do a little bit of finish up work. We are so pleased with the finished product, and are happy to recommend desert sky closets. The final straw came when I was trying to get a hat out of my daughter's closet and it was like losing Jenga when a book slid out like a mudslide and hit my forehead. Leaving a bruise, mind you! We are extremely pleased with our new closet! We got designs and quotes from 3 different closet companies and we liked Desert Sky the best. They were the only ones who do the curved corner closets (less wasted space) and Matt, the owner/designer was a real pleasure to work with. He spent lots of time with us customizing the design and getting it just right for what we needed. We went with a greyish wood grain finish that looks awesome. Their pricing was also very competitive with the other big brand companies we met with. The closet looks fantastic and everything works very well. The drawers are smooth and pull out all the way and everything just feels very solid and well put together. The installers were great too. After the install, we noticed some slight scratches on some of the drawer fronts. We sent Matt pictures and he immediately offered to have them replaced. UPDATE 8/12/19 Closet was installed in 3 hours this morning and we couldn't be happier. The installers were professional and cleaned up after themselves very nicely. The closet looks fantastic! ---------------------------------------------------- This review may be premature, as my install hasn't been performed yet, but I have no doubts that I will still be 5 star satisfied when it is. I will update my review after install in one month. After paying nearly $1,500 at Classy Closets in another home for a closet 1/4 of the size of my new closet, I set out to create design on www.easyclosets.com for my walk-in closet at a house I just purchased. I created the perfect design and was shocked at how expensive it still was with having to remove the existing shelving and install the system myself. So, I decided to get a couple local bids to see how much more I'd be looking at to have someone else take care of everything, including labor. I emailed the design I created online to Desert Sky on Saturday evening and didn't anticipate hearing back until Monday. Not the case! Matt responded to me on Sunday morning and gave me a competitive bid by email. Who does that?! Everyone else insists on meeting in person and seeing the space before talking any numbers. His bid was only $500 more than Easy Closets and included an accessory (scarf rack) and design elements (curved corner and bridge) that EC didn't offer. Matt offered to come out Wednesday and firm up the price. Meanwhile, Closets by Design responded to my request for information on Monday, but wouldn't talk numbers without sending out a designer. They were able to send someone on Tuesday. She showed up with a hand drawn design that was modified from what I had created and sent to them in advance. Not a big deal, it was pretty much the same, just reorganized a bit. Closets by Design does not offer wall mounted units - only full units with toe kicks and such. Consequently that drives up the price. It may look classier, but this is not a space that people will see and I just want functionality with a budget friendly price. They came in $1600 higher than Easy Closets and $1100 more than Desert Sky. Fast forward to Wednesday. Matt arrives on time and is very personable and friendly. We started chatting like we were old friends. He measured up the closet to double check my measurements (CbD didn't do that), then fires up his laptop and started designing the closet with his 3D software. He was able to add an extra drawer in one of the drawer units and a couple other design elements and come in about $50 LOWER than the price he estimated by email. Anyway, long story short... I said take my money, Matt. See you in 4 weeks for the install! Can't wait for the finished product and to recommend this company to anyone looking for storage solutions. I had Matt, the owner out to my house over a week ago to give me a quote. He took measurements talked about the style I wanted and then Dropped off planet earth. I reached out to him through email and also through their main business number. All I got was an email response saying they would cc Matt in the email from me. Still never received a response. Really enjoyed working with Matt S. and Desert Sky Closets. He was very professional and gave me a plethora of garage cabinet options to choose from. He came out to my house on two separate occasions to show me various options for my new 45 foot RV garage. He didn't try to sell me on the more expensive counter tops or finishes on the cabinet doors. I shared with him the color scheme of the walls and the epoxy flooring and he was able to come up with a great color combination for the cabinets. He was very competitive price wise, not the cheapest or most expensive, but very fair in his pricing. I truly believe that you get what you pay for and I am 1000% more delighted with these cabinets over my cheap Neil Garage Cabinets in my attached garage. Matt always went above and beyond and threw in a few additional accessories for my slat wall, which was a great customer service touch. I had some issues with my epoxy guy and had to delay the cabinet install by a few days and Matt did everything he could to move his schedule around to accommodate my request. I was excited to consult with Desert Sky Closets based on all of the positive yelp reviews. They scheduled an appointment with me for this afternoon and said they'd send a zoom invite at the time of the meeting. The meeting time came and went and I received no communication, so I called their office. The person who answered apologized for the oversight, took my email and phone number and said she'd get it cleared up. I said I was free for most of that afternoon. I should probably give them more time, and I get that businesses are adapting with all of the virtual meetings, etc., but I am a bit put off that someone didn't contact me today to see if I wanted to reschedule.
