Youssef and all of his subs are *FANTASTIC* and the best I have ever worked with (and I've worked…read morewith many). Here why (with details below): He OWNS the work and takes full responsibility for everything and fixes every mishap BEFORE you even ask; His primary subs (carpentry, electrical, flooring, trim) are all GREAT; he's one of the easiest, kindest, and most compassionate people I've worked with; and he knew when to tell me when an idea or suggestion I had was infeasible or too expensive. More deets: On OWNERSHIP and RESPONSIBILITY - Our shower glass walls were a little short. I didn't even know enough to know this was a solvable problem, but he made the third-party glass company take the segments back and replace them with segments that fit even more perfectly and beautifully. There we a couple of other instance and there was never accountability squirm.... Honestly that's unlike 95% of contractors. ADVICE - If the lighting wasn't going to work or look nice, he told you. If the switches we're in the wrong place in the blueprint, he told you. If a door or opening would have been better served with a pocket door instead of a swinging door, like into a bedroom closet, he told you. He told you nicely, politely, never insinuating that I did not know what I was doing or that the architect was bad or wrong. He'd just politely and slowly walk me through a few different scenarios and the real life placement of things and was 100% right in all of his corrective suggestions. The one time I did not listen to him and thought I knew better, after a few months I realized I was completely wrong. MAIN SUBS - Whenever his subs were scheduled to show up, they did, on time, always clean-cut and professional, smiling, and happy. They cleaned up EVERY DAY. Other previous contractors thought nothing of leaving trash on the floor or even dangerous nails when I had small children in the house. I think he is one of, if not, the BEST IN THE BUSINESS and I plan on doing more with him in the future.

This is a long review and if you don't want to read everything below, just know that these are…read moreuntrustworthy people plain and simple. If you need a custom home built then you would be in better hands elsewhere. I could not recommend them less. ----‐---------------- We started this process on good footing, we spent time getting to know their team, talking through the project and setting expectations. We read their positive reviews and they put on a good face. But soon after construction started we realized that this team is completely out of their depth. As a whole they are destructively uncommunicative and are outright deceitful, Cesar their GC, and Katherine one of the business owners, particularly so. When problems were encountered, instead of working through solutions together, their strategy was to stall for as long as possible and to ignore our attempts to keep the project moving forward. Their behavior cost us months of delays which resulted in thousands of dollars lost, needless worry and lasting issues with our home and property. If you decide to move forward with this team, please keep record of every interaction, be extremely specific in your contract, and keep your attorney on hand. After our move in, and after clear explicit instructions from me on numerous occasions, business owner Katherine illegally and covertly recorded the exterior and interior of our property on multiple occasions, including video recording me inside of my home while I was unaware. Katherine and the rest of the team do not care about legality, your privacy, or the basic respect of their clients. During the build they tried their best to get more money out of us while delivering substandard work. The only way we were able to move into the home after many months past our projected move in date and many weeks spent in extended stays was by going around them to schedule our final inspection with the county, by communicating with our title company & lender, by filing complaints with the BBB and ROC. Stay on top of your project. If you are providing custom architectural plans, please know that the time, money and planning that went into your build documents mean nothing to them, they will do as they please without your intervention. Consent is not a word in their vocabulary. They changed our home and design, damaged our newly installed materials and appliances, illegally dumped their waste on our property & refused to properly clean up, refused to do work explicitly outlined in our contract, and attempted to cut corners at every turn. They're unwilling to learn, improve or accept responsibility. Through my interactions with this team I have come to learn what the term "gaslighting" means. They continued to smile in my face, offering pleasantries and small talk, expecting me to quickly move past their damaging behavior while their actions and words remained persistently harmful. Save yourself the trouble.

Steve and the Homework Remodels Team did a great job on my fairly considerable room addition…read moreproject. The goal was to expand an existing, view-facing deck on the back of my home... while also adding a whole new room to the downstairs part of the home by utilizing the newly created space underneath the deck expansion. I had prepared my 'back of the napkin' drawings in some detail and Steve, Sheila and team were able to stick closely to my design concepts throughout the project, while professionally upgrading the drawings for all of the necessary planning and approval steps that were required along the way. Steve also accompanied me to the City Planning Hearing in order to get city approval to expand beyond the allowable 'footprint' of my home for the project to move forward... and it all came off without a hitch. Nine months later and we are enjoying the views of Lookout Mountain from our outdoor kitchen atop our newly-expanded (and now partially covered & misted) deck. The "new" side matches the pre-existing side perfectly, and the deck flooring upgrade has been absolutely fantastic. We've added several hundred square feet of VERY usable outdoor space just off of our kitchen and living areas, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The downstairs room addition is equally as fantastic, and even the few issues that needed follow-up were handled as courteously as one might hope for. Steve & Company are total pros, and good people as well. Highly recommended.
