Writing this review for Alex and John Halliday at Liberty Remodeling. They recently painted our…read morehouse. It was a non-trivially complicated project: a 2-story 4000 sq ft house with a large attached pergola, stucco repair, stuccoed perimeter wall and a very picky HOA. Alex and John navigated the whole project very professionally from start to finish. They had already painted one house in the neighborhood and did a great job there. I called several of their reference and they got great reviews from the references they gave. I was impressed with their integrity both in terms of their approach to quality work, how they handled pricing (they are dong several houses within the neighborhood) and how they managed to stay fair with everyone while still accommodating people's specific requests. They communicate well and are responsive. They got to the job quickly and finished it quickly, there was no dragging out of the project any more than was required (they actually did a great job of working around the inclement weather that showed up in the middle of the job). My only knock would be that sometimes the workers didn't quite get all of the instructions passed to the owners, but that actually brings me to the best part. And i ahve to say here that I have used many contractors before, and on this item they are the best I've ever experienced. When they are done and ask you to review and provide a correction/punch list, I've never seen a contractor approach it as positively and effectively as they did. There was never one moment of push back or debate.. they just went through and addressed every single thing on the list, and they did it right on the spot. They stayed at it until we were satisfied, and although we are not unreasonable, we are not the easiest customer to please. I will say if you're looking for the lowest price and don't care about anything else, they may not be the best fit for you, and I think they'd probably agree. However, if you are looking for a high-quality job that is done right, to your satisfaction at a reasonable, fair price, I'd highly recommend them as I found their work to be an excellent value. (I'm actually having them paint our rental house next) TIP: If you check them out you'll find that their current ROC licence is relatively new, do not take that as a negative. Ask either John or Alex about that and they will happily tell you the background here. It checked out and it's actually a positive, but too long of a story to include in this review.

I had a 41 year-old wooden deck (pic attached) that was decayed and falling apart to the extent…read morethat you could no longer walk on it. I had dreaded getting the deck replaced because I just didn't want to deal with going thru the work and aggravation. I called a few construction contractors and while 2 never responded, others just gave me a quote to remove the old deck, but never took the time to actually talk or listen to me. Then Alex Halliday, owner of Liberty Remodeling LLC. actually called me after receiving the pic thru Yelp, and set up a time to visit and see all that needed to be done and also what I wanted to do. Alex came when scheduled and listened to what I wanted to do (remove old deck & replace with two covered patios on each side of the existing patio). He was great at making suggestions and asking questions, and showing me pictures to be sure of want I wanted done. His estimates were given and were exactly what was charged. He never changed the amounts and he wrote up detailed contracts for the work. It was 2 1/2 weeks to build the two new patios, lay down the pavers, and I ended up painting the entire house, instead of just the new covered patios (pics attached ). The work was so great, it looks like the patios were part of the original house and not additions. I can't say enough good things about Alex, John (his brother), and the construction crew (Julian and Amador), the pavers, and the painters. Alex did all the scheduling for each crew to come in once each part was completed. He updated me daily on when each crew would be at my house, and at what time. Alex was there as each crew arrived to go over exactly what was going to be done. He or John were there to make sure everything was done as agreed. Then at the end, a final inspection was done with plenty of attention on every detail. My home looks beautiful and the job was completed with no stress. Alex and John Halliday are truly great people to work with, I wouldn't call anyone else!

I don't usually write reviews this long, but Andrew with Green Home deserves it…read more He completely gutted and rebuilt my master bathroom, and the result is beautiful. This was my first remodel, so I did a lot of research and got multiple bids. Andrew's pricing was lower than others, but his work looked almost too perfect, which honestly made me skeptical at first. I reached out to one of his past reviewers before hiring him, just to confirm they had a good experience and they had nothing but great things to say. Now I understand why. Andrew handled demo, moved the shower to a different wall, installed all new tile, plumbing, lighting, and built the entire shower from scratch. He also has a strong eye for design and helped guide decisions in a way that felt collaborative, not pushy. He showed up exactly when he said he would every single day and worked full 8-10 hour days until everything was complete. His communication stayed clear, consistent, and reliable. He kept the job site clean, contained the dust to one area, and was extremely respectful of my home. I took notice that he was the only contractor who took his shoes off at the door when walking thru to bid. That said a lot to me about him. He continued to do things that showed his good nature and great character. Another thing I really appreciated was I felt that he genuinely looked out for me. A designer I had hired was pushing me toward options that were well over my budget, and Andrew encouraged me to take a step back and think it through. He even suggested better alternatives, which I ended up using. That kind of honesty is rare. He also recommended great companies for other parts of the project, including AQ Glass Arizona Shower Doors and Aaron Dominguez Granite, both of which did excellent work. He stayed on budget, did everything right the first time, and was incredibly patient with me throughout the process. I've already hired him again for my kitchen and guest bathroom, and he's even come back for a few smaller requests without hesitation. The only "negative" is that he's booked pretty far out, but that's really not a negative. It just means he's in demand. He is absolutely worth the wait. I feel very lucky to have found him and would recommend him without hesitation.

The scope covered walls, ceilings, insulation, electrical, plumbing, AC, flooring installation, carpet, and paint, essentially half of our house. We got five bids for the job, and R&M came in lower than the other four. They did an excellent job on all of it. Ramiro was great to work with. On a job this large, things change and new issues come up along the way, and he was flexible with us every single time. There was also an insurance claim involved, which meant a lot of extra detail and documentation on top of the actual construction work. He gladly provided everything we needed, every time we asked, and never treated it as an inconvenience. That made a genuinely stressful process much easier to manage. Rafa, our project manager, was our day-to-day on site and was outstanding. He was attentive, there consistently, and always responsive when we had questions or added something to the punch list. He never made us feel like we were bothering him and stayed on top of the details all the way through closeout. We were displaced to an Airbnb during the rebuild, which means we trusted this crew in our home while we weren't there. Everyone was friendly, courteous, on time, and cleaned up after themselves. More than one crew member told us they just wanted to make sure it was done the right way, and you could see that in the finished work. They went above and beyond on everything we needed. We'll be using them again for our next project without hesitation. Highly recommend.

They return phone calls incredibly fast and they will work in any changes you may have. I found them to be honest and hard working every day that they are there. We had work done in all rooms including the addition of an Arizona Room , but for us it was a sewing room. Did it matter what the room was for? Yes in this instance it did, because I needed an excessive amount of light. They did a magnificent job, you couldn't even tell that the room was added on. They built the gazebo we had and they added a small putting green for the beginner golfers in us. They added new closet doors on our new closets. They did various electrical work in the house. They added a keyless entry onto our doors and did some work in the garage. They built us the best carport with a noiseless remote door. Anything we asked them to do they were able to do. If you want honest, fair and hard workers R&M is the business to use. You will be 200% satisfied!!

Eric replied in no time and emailed an estimate not long after. This job involved drywall (delete a door and add a large arched opening), electrical, custom cabinets, shelves, interior/exterior paint, and a touch of flooring. Eric and his guys did an amazing job. My wife loves the closet they converted into a reading nook. We always felt comfortable with the crew in our house. They worked around our schedule and Eric was always available for a quick check-in so I knew where we were with each step. The two big standouts were the price staying the same even though he did a few extras, and Salvador nailing that 8' high 6' wide arch! We couldn't be happier and would definitely use them again.

The kitchen required removing a wall to open up the closed dark kitchen and adding an oversized bar. Eric was extremely timely and professional in getting us a comprehensive quote. He was also extremely affordable as well. He started work right away and did a phenomenal job. We gave him pictures of what we wanted for the kitchen and fireplace, and he replicated the style to a T - which most contractors can't do without a designer helping them. He also was able to design and order custom cabinets for our pantry. Eric was extremely detail oriented throughout the process, checking in with us as needed for style and safety decisions, and always updated us on cost or possible delays. He also was insanely knowledgable about every area of construction such as dry wall, plumbing, electrical, fabrication, flooring, tiling, etc. This guy really is a one man show - he can do it all. Eric did have a few subcontractors help him with the job and they were always fantastic to work with as well. He knows quality workmanship and partnership. He finished the job in a timely timeframe and our home is gorgeous and the workmanship is quality - for a great price. If you need any renovations done, Eric with E.L. Construction is the way to go. I wanted a quality install and was pretty particular about details like transitions to tile, baseboards, that I wanted to pull out old carpet, I was ordering the materials, etc. Paul and Daniel knew exactly what I was referring to regarding smooth transitions and immediately said "no problem" after others gave me a whole song and dance. They also provided a professional, accurate, and detailed estimate while clearly telling me what might cost more once they get in there (e.g. leveling the floor). Other companies either gave me really rough verbal estimates or overly specific (& wrong) estimates. Communication with the guys is fantastic. The work was done with the kind of craftsmanship I expected from my meticulous grandpa (that is.. they know what they're doing and do it properly!) The guys work fast, thoroughly, are kind and easy to have around. I had feedback on two small things while they worked.. no problem, they resolved them quickly and without issue.
