They had the grill part I needed when other stores didn't. They also sold it $12 less than the manufacturer's website. Very friendly and helpful. They answered some questions I had on repairs on my grill that will hopefully get it going again. This seems like the go to grill place in Mesa and Gilbert. read more

We have waited a long time to upgrade our backyard and choosing a fire pit was the hardest part! I wanted to see it and touch it before buying it and most of the chain stores around had very limited inventory in-person. They all said to visit their websites for greater selection. Then I stumbled across locally owned Gilbert Fireplaces and BBQ's. The staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and the prices were right on target with the chains. Delivery and setting fees were really reasonable and able to accommodate our schedule within their operating hours. We're now happily enjoying the best season of the year in Arizona, fall-winter. Now we're just waiting for furniture delivery and some smaller decor items. read more

THIS - PLACE - IS - AMAZING! Ryan couldn't have been better! I sent an email the night before I visited, inquiring if they had a Yoder pellet smoker in stock. The next morning, BAM! I got a detailed reply. I visited that morning, and Ryan took great care of me. He even arranged to have the smoker delivered the same day. I smoked Ribeye that evening. The quality of service? OUTSTANDING! Every product in the store is PREMIUM. Which matches the customer service perfectly. In my opinion, if you're looking to step up to premium quality equipment, you're the perfect fit. As we all know, extra special service, combined with premium equipment, costs a few dollars more.... Spend it! I'm happy I did! Oh, it's TRULY a family owned business. I love that, and the pride shows. Thank you Ryan (and family) for an awesome experience. read more

If I could put negative 5, I would. Terrible customer service by the owner himself. Avoid at all costs!!! After the owners reply below...we can now add liar! He literally said to me "I have no skin in the game why would I help you?" So the bogus excuses he lists below are exactly that, excuses. He wanted to sell me a grill, and if I didn't buy the grill from him he wanted nothing to do with my business. Meanwhile I had already bought an 800 dollar drawer/door combo. Paid 200 for installation. And was going to buy multiple parts from him. Terrible owner. Terrible customer service. And now like I said we can add liar to the list!! read more

READ ME!!! I haven't had the opportunity to visit this business...But I will. EVERYONE SHOULD. I saw this post on Nextdoor and it brought me to tears. THESE ARE THE BUSINESSES WE SHOULD SUPPORT! Pass it on! Thank you for your Kindness. Today I would like to share a story with you. My husband was a master griller. The last time he used his Komado Joe Big Joe was for July 4th. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday and he always spatchcocked and smoked a turkey in addition to having a traditional turkey. He passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2021 and I was devastated. My dearest and closest friends mutually decided they would spend Thanksgiving with me and I was determined to serve his favorite Thanksgiving meal including the smoked turkey (I never ever used the grill). I went to Gilbert Fireplace & BBQ's (www.gilbertfireplacesbbqs.com) the BBQ store that he bought all his grills from and told them my situation. Both the owner and his son Ryan remembered my husband and Ryan volunteered to come to my house on Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving) to set the grill up for me. He was totally amazing. He set it up. He brought charcoal and wood and showed me what needed to be done. He also said to call him if I had any problems. I did text him with a couple of questions and he always responded. The turkey came out almost as good as my husband's and it was juicy and smoked to perfection. I cannot thank Ryan enough for the thoughtfulness and compassion he showed me. If anyone is in need of a BBQ or anything associated with BBQ's I highly recommend this store. The products are the best and you could not ask for better and kinder people to deal with. Following are pictures of the finished bbq turkey. I know my husband was smiling down on us Thanksgiving day and I definitely know he was proud of me, although I think he was watching over me the whole day guiding me through. read more

With the season changing I tried to start up our gas fireplace and was struggling to get it let. We bought our house late last year and this is the 1st fresh season that we really got to test out the fireplace so I wasn't 100% sure how to work it. I was struggling and ready to hire a repair/service person to come out and fix it and decided to call the people that know their trade best. I got ahold of Mike and he gave me the simplest advice of just letting the gas line air out and sure enough after about 10 minutes of holding the button-down it worked like a charm. Thank you for the amazingly simple advice that saved the day. read more

I needed to purchase a replacement propane tank hose and regulator. The connector was unique. They took the time to recognize the unique connector and found a solution. They were pleasant, professional, and made sure that I left with the most promising solution. They even reminded me that I could bring it back if the connector didn't fit. Appreciate local businesses that continue to take the time to find a solution and care about customer service. Highly recommend this local business. read more

Liked the employees very much. Friendly, helpful, and clearly wanting to get the right items for their customers. Their deep product knowledge and creative thinking found available items to meet my needs. On the other hand, they called to tell me my stuff had arrived at the store ... when part of the order was still somewhere else; and both of their recommendations for plumbers ended up ghosting on me. Other companies' behavior is obviously not within GF & B's control, but if you're going to recommend, you have to be careful. read more

Needed help with a great closing gift for a client of mine. Not only did they know everything about the Big Green Egg but they helped pick the right size for the dimensions at my client's new home. Ryan even took the extra time to completely explain how the BGE operated compared to a regular gas grill! I will definitely shop there in the future. Thanks guys. read more

We were first time customers to Gilbert Fireplace & BBQ. We had the opportunity to deal with Mike Barnhart, the owner. It was time to upgrade our firepit. Mike is excellent to deal with. We purchased a new fire ring and 100lbs of fireglass. There was no hardsell or upsell pressure from him. He showed us a variety of different colors of fireglass and of course at different prices. We never felt he was trying to sell us anything more than what we wanted. He explained different pro's and con's of different colored glass and different fire rings. I was also having a minor issue with my current BBQ that came with our home. I explained this issue to Mike and he told me what to do to fix my problem. When our BBQ needs replaced there is no question where we will buy. Gilbert Fireplace & BBQ has earned our business. I would recommend this to be your first and last stop if you are shopping for any BBQ or firepit items. read more
