He laid the designs in digital renderings, and with a few tweaks we pulled the trigger. Brad and his crew showed up on a Wednesday at 6am and were there every weekday for the next three weeks at 6am sharp, until the job for both front and backyards were completed. We had a very contemporary design with a lot of straight lines in our tile work and extended grass areas and everything lines up at a razors edge. I don't usually go out of my way to write reviews, but I had such a great experience with this company that I would highly recommend them to anyone in search of quality workmanship and a high level of professionalism. Thanks, Jason

Unlike other designers we had interviewed, he really understood what our vision was and the issues we were facing in the yard. Our backyard looks fantastic now; we couldn't be happier.

In addition he was also supposed to hook back up the proper zones, and that was never done either. The constant promises that I have documented over text are beyond ridiculous and during this period I was constantly told that he was not making money on the job. We had agreed to a price and then that setup would not work so we came up with another plan. The price increased by $80, I had paid half up front for the whole job. As he progressed he complained about not having enough money so I started giving him more money towards the final 50%. Ih and the cost was supposed to include materials, outside of few feet of PVC I paid for all parts. In the end he left me with an incomplete job to the point that I was unable to water my yard for more than 3 weeks. Do not trust a single word this guy says. Also, i had only met Justin as I gave him a free play yard that I had posted up on Nextdoor. He was very quick with responding and we set up an estimate that unfortunately got canceled due to our lovely monsoon season. He rescheduled for the next day and showed up right on time which I know from experience is a very hard quality to find in most landscaping company's. Garnicas Landscaping showed up at 7am and was finished by 7.30. Not only was it quick but very professional. They did not cut any corners and truly showed there expertise! My property is very weird with no side gate or access to the patio with out coming through the house. They were very careful not to make a mess bringing everything through the house and not to ding the doors with there equipment. Overall I am extremely impressed, Garnicas Landscaping is a professional, punctual, fair priced, team of experts that I have faith would do an amazing job on even the biggest jungle!! Only minimal framing work was completed, and the concrete pour that was scheduled never happened. Communication then stopped completely. Swimming Pool and Outdoor Renovation Experience Decision to…read moreUpgrade Our Outdoor Space After more than two decades of use, we realized it was time to update our swimming pool. This decision also made it clear that our landscaping and patio area, which were just as old, needed an upgrade as well. At first, we had no idea where to begin with such a large project. Finding Inspiration and Choosing a Contractor During the summer, we noticed that our neighbors were having some outdoor work done. Curious, I took note of the name on the vehicles parked at their house. This led me to reach out to Lone Star Landscaping through their website one Sunday, leaving our contact information. Initial Contact and Planning Chris from Lone Star Landscaping called me the very next day. He was very informative, asking about our goals for the project and bringing up important questions that I had not even considered. During our phone conversation, Chris provided basic estimates for the various items we wanted to address. Once we confirmed that we were aligned in our vision, we scheduled an appointment to meet onsite and review our goals in detail. Onsite Consultation and Material Selection My husband and I spent significant time meeting with Chris, touring both our front and back outdoor areas, and sharing our vision for the renovation. Chris offered valuable suggestions throughout our conversation, demonstrating the depth of his experience in this field. We quickly realized the importance of working with someone who truly understands the nuances of outdoor design. After we reached an agreement on the project details, Chris provided us with samples of the various pavers, tiles, and travertine options. This allowed us to see how the materials would look in the natural light of our own backyard before making a final decision. Watching the Transformation Once we had selected our materials and gave the go-ahead, the work began. It was truly a joy to watch Chris's team bring our project to life. The Renovation Process and Results Chris and his team displayed exceptional skill throughout the renovation. We decided to replace our backyard patio area with beautiful travertine and add a few new spaces for the barbecue and around the pool equipment. My personal goal was to have a surface so smooth and comfortable that I could walk the entire area barefoot. Watching the travertine being installed was a fascinating experience, as we could see the design gradually taking shape. The finished result is absolutely stunning. Even during the renovation, neighbors walking by would frequently comment on how impressive the transformation looked. Enjoying the Results and Looking Forward The outcome of our backyard renovation has exceeded all expectations. We spend a great deal of time outdoors, and since the project was finished, my husband and I have often remarked on how remarkable the work is. Chris's craftsmanship and attention to detail delivered results that were even better than we had envisioned. We were so impressed with the transformation that we decided to entrust Chris with our front yard remodel as well. We are excited to see how that project will turn out. If you value experience, quality, and honest professionalism, Lone Star Landscaping is an excellent choice. We would gladly recommend them to anyone considering a landscaping project.
