We made arrangements for the deck collapse to be repaired. After making numerous commitments, and failing to show up, he called to and requested that I pay him $60 for cement. Joshua knows me well enough, (or should have) that had he stood by his work, shown up and made the repair, I would have paid, (more) for the work and cement. We have gone above-and-beyond for this young man, though never again. Read carefully! In Joshua's own reply, he admits that his work won't hold up for more than two years? Amazing! Had the house painted... 10 year guarantee. The crew has come back, (6-months later) twice to touch-up areas.... No blame. No issue. No charge. Had the house re-roofed. The roofing crew left a mess.... Called the owner, he sent his crew back, they cleaned up, apologized and left. Getting a sub to return to fix a mistake is always a process. When a problem surfaces, this is when you find out if you located a true professional. A quality sub doesn't blame the customer. A quality sub doesn't make excuses. A quality sub stands behind their work. A quality sub doesn't need $60 bucks to fix a mess he, or his crew made. Joshua failed on all on all four. Joey came out to do the quote and was quick, efficient, and explained what to expect. I received the estimate later that same day as promised and the price was fair. When I approved the quote we talked about color options, and he recommended the "Native" color. I wanted something neutral but with a little character in a herringbone pattern, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. He also mentioned darker tones tend to hold up better in the Arizona heat since lighter colors fade faster. The only hiccup was the scheduling process. They require a deposit before scheduling, which made me a little hesitant. I was told I'd get a call later that day to set the install date, but it took a couple follow-up calls before we actually got it confirmed. The office staff was always very polite and helpful though. On install day, I had given instructions on where materials could be placed since I live in a townhouse complex, but the pavers ended up being left in the grass overnight instead. Luckily everything was fine. I later found out the superintendent originally assigned to my project got sick, so another team member stepped in and didn't have all the details from our earlier conversations, which probably explains the communication mix-up. That said, once the work started the crew moved quickly and finished within the expected timeframe (about three days). The final result looks great and I'm very happy with the finished project.

The crew's craftsmanship on the travertine was genuinely good, but everything around project management and communication fell short. Owner Kendall repeatedly gave us specific dates and times for work to happen, which were then missed without proactive updates -- we had to chase him for status on nearly every phase. Demo also ran long, and the crew failed to clear debris from our driveway in time for Easter; we ended up using Facebook Marketplace to get people to haul away leftover materials ourselves. The turf installation has been the most disappointing part. For what we paid for a premium product, the seams are visibly poor. It took five weeks just to get a crew out to attempt a repair, and that attempt made the seam lines worse. We now have a tentative date for another repair, but given the pattern of missed commitments, we're not confident it will be honored. At one point we went over a month without any contact from them - until they called asking for payment, and we had to push back to get anyone out to the site. The project started before Easter. It's now nearly August, and it's still not finished. If clear communication and reliable follow-through matter to you, I'd be cautious about pursuing CitiScapes.

Each time he expressed that his crew would be back out to correct the issues. A couple of times he did in fact come back and the issues were somewhat taken care of, however, he was supposed to come back to complete our backyard to put in place the artificial turf. Evidently with us expressing some dissatisfaction with the work that had already been performed, must have upset him to the point where now he will no longer return our calls nor will he repair the issues that we had expressed to him We had also noticed that some items that we bought (such as low voltage wire) that we wanted the crew to install, and when only one side of the house was completed and they stated that they were out of the wire, when we showed the receipt of the quantity purchased which was more than enough to complete the entire job as quoted by Dave. So we did go out again and purchased additional wire to cover the short fall, again purchasing more than what was required to complete the job and that excess had also disappeared. We noticed that there was also small landscaping hardware missing. This not only happened not just once but twice. When we voiced this concern to Dave (the owner), he laughed and stated that one of his crew members was good at taking little items from job sites. Thought he would have been more upset about the situation, but he made a joke of it. We approached him numerous times about the repairs and also for the top of the outdoor island to be sealed, again he never called back nor showed up to finish the job. Do not go with this company unless you want your job half done or really don't care about the quality of work that is being done. If you voice some dissatisfaction with the work that had been done, his attitude will change and will no longer continue with the job. We are at this time, considering filing a complaint with the ROC, reason being, to fix the issues that were brought to his attention will cost an approximately $2500 to complete. And we are also working with other contractors to complete the jobs that he seems to not want to do, nor at this point, do we want him to do.

Not only did the job turn out perfect but he actually ended up getting everything done sooner than planned and he went above and beyond to make the job look as good as possible including throwing in a couple nice touches at the end that we didn't expect just to make sure it looked the best it could. Fast forward to late August.... This is where I'm very grateful we chose Mirage Landscaping. This year was brutal with the heat and unfortunately our beautiful new plants took a beating. I contacted Tony and he was out very quickly to look at our yard and evaluate everything. Without hesitation, he replaced nearly 1/2 of our plants (which was a lot) with no questions asked and didn't try to nickel and dime us or put the blame on us. What a relief! His warranty is as good as his word and his product! After he saw the yard, he had someone out in 2 days and everything is now replaced and beautiful again. I cannot stress how important that warranty was and him honoring his warranty. I've had other landscaping companies in the past that don't honor their warranty and it's very costly to have to come out of pocket to fix and repair their work.
