    Chicken fried steak breakfast

Housed in an old building in downtown historic Silverton, the Lone Spur offers great food and drinks with an AMAZING view! The food and drinks aren't fancy, but with hearty portions and tasty food, it doesn't need to be! A great place to drop off and enjoy breakfast or lunch on your way to your mountain adventure.

Especially good! The French Onion soup had a rich broth and a more than adequate amount of onions. The Patty melt was one of the best. Thick slices of what seemed to be homemade rye and a thick patty grilled to perfection. Throw on some grilled onions. And not greasy! Yum! Add great service and, to top it off, lunchtime entertainment with an old time piano player. The atmosphere is old west saloon done just right.

Two eggs, hash browns, sourdough toast, bacon steak and coffee.

I spent but one night in the beautiful town of Silverton, and the next morning I had a powerful craving for some coffee, bacon and eggs. My partner and I were waiting outside the front door when they opened and we were waited on right away, then served our food with astonishing speed. PLEASE try the bacon steak. Six ounces of pure smoky heaven! Everything on my plate was just as I wanted it to be and the coffee was a nice breakfast blend too. Friendly staff, beautiful turn-of-the-(last)-century decor everywhere you look... I couldn't have asked for more.

Stopped in for lunch right before they close so it's pretty empty inside.

Apparently all the sandwiches today were served on Texas Toast bread today. I ordered the French Dip sandwich and it's not a sandwich in my opinion that should be presented on anything other than a roll. The waiter Don was very friendly but the manager on duty was extremely rude to us. This is a typical tourist town and the restaurant's always reflect it. Would not return or recommend this place.

Great value! Everything was good. I usually prefer flaky biscuits to country biscuits, but these were great. The amount of food you get for breakfast will carry you well past lunch. The pancakes were as big as your head. Plenty of go fuel to start the day. The waitress seemed overwhelmed as there were so many people and they were short handed, but she was still courteous and as attentive as possible. Good food, good staff, great environment.

Visited twice while staying in durango, both times for breakfast. Neat western feel. Service was terrible both times we visited (this coming from an experienced server) sat in the overflow both times and it felt like our servers forgot about us and we were an afterthought. First day half of our group was locked out ? Servers kept walking past and making eye contact but didn't open the door til we had to go up and say something. That sucked. Waited 50+ minutes for our food the second day, which happens, but when it came out it was ice cold :( if you're going to make a table wait for their food, at least double check that it's hot. The food that was hot was delicious though. Service needs some tweaking and this would be a delicious place to eat.

Lone Spur Cafe is a great place to grab breakfast in the morning and a drink in the afternoon at the bar. My family and I stayed next door at the Hotel just after Labor Day and we grabbed breakfast on Thursday morning before heading to Rockwood for our train Ride. The portions were huge and tasted great!

The food was very tasty. One of the better eggs Benedict I have had and I loves that I could place a half order. I ordered a latte and it was delicious. They didn't make my order correctly but quickly fixed it. The atmosphere is what I would describe and old west eclectic. It was clean, fast, and priced right. My 20 oz large latte was $4.50 which, in my opinion is a good deal. Eggs Benedict with hash browns or country potatoes was $9.99, kids meal with 1 egg, 2 slices of bacon, a biscuit, and a generous serving of hash browns was $6.49. This is definitely a place I would recommend.

This is a Russell. He works here.

KATES PLACE Mom and I were staying a night in Ridgeway…read moreand before going over to Ouray, decided to fuel up before heading over there and picked this breakfast place! Menu was not too big nor too small and we were able to quickly order with the staff who were quick with service! Mom and I both got the Corned Beef Hash and I got a cup of their soup of the day : Loaded Potato. FOOD The Corned beef hash were not like what I had before and looked pretty different (This is basically my go to breakfast dish at any place hehe) It was very hearty and had nice actual chunks of beef and potatos. The dish were not greasy at all. Not to mention the eggs were cooked perfectly to my liking "over easy" and the toasts were so delicious. Nicely buttered and were also to my liking in terms of how toasty/buttery it was!! Mom had a hard scrambled egg which were seasoned to perfection as well with white toast which were golden brown!! But the real star of the show was the their soup of the day! My looorrrr where do I even begin. Lets just say this soup better become their soup of the century. Chefs did an amazing job and this soup was really delicious and totally my type hehe. If you ever stop by and this is their soup of the day, def order it!!! Small place with the two nice ladies who served/hosted us, but were fast and friendly as the place started picking up more customers. And good cooks who serve you hearty and delicious meals. Almost felt like I was eating breakfast at a nice aunties place. Atmosphere felt very homey with colorful, but not overwhelming decorations and everything you would need at your table for functionality. FIVE STARS + WILL BE COMING BACK IF EVER BACK IN TOWN

Unfortunately, the burrito fell short of my expectations. Despite paying an egg surcharge, there was hardly any eggs in my burrito. Not only did this subtract from the nutritional value of my meal, but it also meant there was nothing to counter-balance the flavors of the burrito. Beyond the disappointing burrito, though, the grits were actually quite good.

If you're going to operate in a town where you know a lot of your clientele has a two-hour ticking clock before their train leaves, you've got to be on the ball. Seeing how good the cheese board looked, we started with that as an appetizer. We figured it would give us something to munch on while we were waiting for the rest of our food. Not so much. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, and my wife ordered the turkey avocado sandwich. After ordering all our food and waiting a long time, I saw another table get their cheese board at the same time as their entrees. I flagged down our waiter to see if we'd get our appetizer before our entrees. He went to check, and the cheese board came out...at the same time as our sandwiches. What's the deal here? Nobody wants their appetizer as part of their meal. For the record, the cheese board was big, good, and filling. My chicken sandwich was great, and my wife liked her turkey avocado sandwich as well. Fries were better than chips. We just needed things spaced out a bit. Our waiter came back by and said, "Wow! You two must've been hungry, as you ate that really fast." Well buddy, we've got a train to catch!
