Although this store has a great selection of every day needs it tends to be a bit over priced as well as we just got our Christmas tree from here for $65 and it was completely dead once we unwrapped it. I would think a place like this would have better quality and was disappointed. read more

My roommate and I had an amazing experience yesterday! We needed help figuring out how to hang a plant on the wall or the ceiling and couldn't figure out which would work best. Shamar, Tim and Lonte were so helpful and patient. Shamar helped us gather the tools to hang the plant from our ceiling and it looks so stunning. Thank you all for your wonderful help!!!! read more

Super friendly staff and curbside delivery, the lady on the phone even texted me pictures of the couple different options for the item I was calling about to make sure it was exactly what I needed. Such an awesome experience, especially for DC. Texting & sidewalk delivery & super helpful staff? Just found my new hardware store! Plus I even got some tennis balls while I was at it, so they have more than just hardware too. Love it. read more

This place is awesome! I am a tinkerer at heart and these stores are a dying breed for sure. Nowadays you always have to buy things online without actually getting to see them in person. My favorite section of these stores is the nuts and fasteners section. They have TONS of hardware at your disposal for home projects of general repairs. Staff are super friendly, they helped me find exactly what I was looking for. This place has 2 floors so it has a huge selection. Aisles are kinda a tight fit but hey I would rather have more products available to me. read more

Logan Hardware has moved. Perhaps the old version of this page for the P Street location can be moved here? There were so many reviews (excellent ones!) of the P Street location, and this is essentially the same thing, just a little north of the old location. This place is absolutely incredible. Amazing service! It can be a bit busy on weekends, but once you have someone helping you they will walk you through everything and answer any questions you have. The place is spotless and has a spacious upstairs and downstairs. They typically have enough people at the registers so the lines move quickly. This is my go-to hardware store in DC! read more

This place is totally awesome! The staff is so so helpful and friendly, the Customer Service is off the charts. Dave helped me upstairs, really cracked me up. I got keys copied, a plunger, twine, and some good information about a question I had with my outlets. I just moved to the area so I will definitely be back, probably weekly! :) read more

For a small store they have lots in stock. People are helpful and knowledgeable though sometimes wish I could get in the door and start looking before they ask to help you. As to be expected prices are higher than at the big chain stores. read more

EV-ER-REE Time I enter into this magical place I am greeted with helpful friendly faces and pleasant attitudes! It truly is the place with the helpful hardware folks!! Just know that the plant folks are rockstars and that I have to do a self check sometimes to make sure I'm not too hard of a groupie! The plant people will answer just about any question about plants. If they do not know the answer, with unpretentious honesty, they will direct you to the right person, or just straight up look it up and give their best guidance to where you can do a little research. I also learned that the store is supportive of staff professional development, which gives me warm fuzzies! Hats off to Logan Hardware read more

"Soooo much hardwaaaaaaaaare" -Oprah voice I can't talk about the screw driver section enough, wow!!!!!!!!!! Talk about screw drivers, they have them all!!!! Even hammers!!!! So many hammer screw drivers!!!!! I turned to my lover at one point and said "let's get them all and lay them on the bed tonight " haha God I love screw drivers. Even screw driver wrenches!!!! read more

I love this store. I also love the woman in the picture of the store. She is so helpful. She is not a model the store hired for the picture. She actually works there. read more

The staff here is incredible! Gabriel helped me find everything I needed, answered all my questions patiently, and even went above and beyond to help me find my lost airpod (lol). Great experience! I'll definitely be back for all my hardware needs. read more

I'd give negative stars if I could. I went back. It once, not twice, not three times yesterday to get my keys made. The guy who made them said he would "make sure whoever made them would learn their lesson?" I was like-" you made them", which he tried to deny. The second time a female made them the third time to he original guy blamed my keys for the issue. Riiight read more

Great hardware store! Special thanks to Elius (Elias? Unsure how to spell his name) for going WAY out of his way to help us find the right screw for a license plate. I would have never found it without him! read more

Charming little hardware store that is dog friendly and well staffed with friendly folks! Refreshing after years of going to Home Depot.

I usually have a good experience there, but I am forced to report the way I was treated this morning by the manager, Joe. Yesterday I rented a sander, the machine was worn and ended up being dysfunctional and not working. I brought it back this morning explaining the pb and asking for my money back since not only I could not get the job done i also had lost my time. The staff and the manager treated me as a liar, and refusing to believe the machine did not work, and instead of accepting to turn it on to try and verify, they asked me to go all the way back home to get the unused sanding pads to prove I could not sand. I eventually did go back home, lost another hour, just to prove I was not lying to them. We ended up trying the machine together, the manager could finally see it was not working, returned me the money and took the sander out the rental pool. All in all, rental equipment should be in good working order at all time, and customers should never be treated as liars when reporting an issue. Today ACE lost a good customer, and I lost my time dealing with a disrespectful manager. read more

I never write yelp reviews, but I've never had such a pleasant experience in any other store, let alone a hardware store. The customer service was above and beyond (Patty, Phil, and Carl were absolutely amazing). This will be 100% the go-to hardware store when I'm in town! read more

The best customer service! Very responsive to text messages and curbside delivery. Kudos to Jorge Ortez and Courtney for jobs well done

I came here to buy some indoor plants and had the most enjoyable experience! Their plants are located on the 2nd floor, and there's even an outdoor balcony with a huge selection. Carl is the GREATEST! He's hilarious and knows everything about their plant selection. He even repotted/added soil to one of the plants I bought. read more

I love this store. It's well-staffed with friendly men and women that know hardware. Feels like a Main Street America hardware store right in the middle of one of DC's busiest neighborhoods. read more

I am so happy that I have easy access to a place like this! The incredibly kind staff is always cheery and happy to assist you in any way possible! For me, the biggest draw is the great selection of plants! Going upstairs is like entering a green thumb's paradise! I have purchased several plants and pots from there and I am always excited to see what gems I will discover every time I go! This is the epitome of what a neighborhood hardware store should be - friendly and full of whatever you need! read more

I went to get some keys made, only to wait in line until the female employee and the customers talked about affordable housing, not to mention there was another employee behind the register. read more

Loooove this place! Super friendly staff and I am constantly visiting their plant section. I recently ventured into Little Leaf, only to find that they charge $10 more than Logan Hardware for the same exact plant. Walking around and interacting with their workers, you can tell that Logan Hardware treats their employees right. The owners even wrote an opinion piece in the Washington Post in March 2016 in support of the Hours and Scheduling Stability Act. read more

5 stars to Patty O! I brought in a double sided key to a 16yo scooter to duplicate - not easy to find places to do this, I find. (Buying my own blank online even eliminated some stores that wouldn't cut outside keys). Patty had some difficulty at first, but didn't give up, stuck with it and - success!!! Great customer service - thank you 0:) read more

Love this store! Friendly and knowledgeable staff--truly some of the nicest employees I've interacted with--and a surprisingly large selection of products. read more

I should make Logan Hardware a regular stop for errands. I always think of them when I need something that really seems like a home improvement tool, like a level or drywall tools to fix the holes drilled before I purchased the level. But Logan Hardware has all kinds of useful stuff. There is a whole plants section upstairs if you want something to cheer up your apartment. And there is kitchen aisle with every essential pan and utensil and small appliance, and then another entire aisle of ordinary cleaning products to repair your kitchen the cooking mess. All of that aside, the other reviewers are correct when they mention the wonderful staff who work here. They are available to answer every question and recommend the best product for the job. Forget the trip to Target and just head to Logan Hardware. They have everything. read more

In a world of corporate hegemony fueling disregard for customer service, Logan Hardware stands apart. I recently moved to the Columbia Heights area and completed a number of home improvement projects. Admittedly, I am terrible at home improvement. However, every single goddamn time I have gone to Logan Hardware for various products and assistance, some wizard of home improvement is there to help. I have gone in for various issues (e.g., plumbing, fasteners, garden, etc.) and EVERY SINGLE TIME there is someone knowledgeable enough to get me what I need. Sometimes I go in and spend $1.60 (I got four screws from Marvin), other times I make more sizeable purchases. Regardless, I am treated with the same attention and care. I have gone to other hardware stores in the area (looking at you Lowes, Home Depot, and the Adams Morgan Ace). Never again. If Logan doesn't have what I'm looking for, they offer to order it. I will do that rather than drive over to another store. I wish I could list all the people who have helped me. My failure to know/remember their names is mine and does not reflect the amazing customer service I have received from basically everyone I've ever asked assistance from. But, I can say that Mary, who works in Lawn & Garden, is an ALL STAR. Hang on to her with all you've got. Phil is a gem. Marvin is fantastic. Sharmon are very helpful in solving my fastener dilemma. Also, he had a great sense of humor that helped me not feel like a moron. I just got on the phone with Logan to jog my memory re: names and spoke to Nita. She was fantastic too. This is a Great place that stocks everything! Wesley helped me get everything from birthday decorations to coat hooks to plants and planters. The staff is amazing, and the shop is dog friendly. read more

Very nice and accommodating staff, with a lot of things on sale for such a central location. Will help you find every little thing, not get frustrated by a bunch of questions, etc. And plants are often really cheap, which is nice because I tend to kill them in short order. That being said, I've never had any luck calling them... They don't pick up the phone. read more

I bought a palm tree from Logan Hardware yesterday and it didn't work out where I needed it. They refused to take it back, and the cashier I spoke with was both surly arrogant, and seemed very pleased to deliver the message. I won't be coming back again. read more

I can't speak highly enough about this store!! I really appreciate that they carry extended hours (looking at you Tenleytown) but even more than that, they're so damn helpful!!! The staff are genuine, knowledgeable, and care that you get the item/part/supply you need for whatever your project is. Big Shout Out to Phil!!! My man, making it easy for me to get what I need and get my home project done!! read more

Logan Hardware - Key wizards. - Hardware Stores Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

The worst service in the area. They have no idea whats on the second floor and they work on the 1st floor....not too mention the people that answer the phone should just quit.....Poor reflection of young Americans..disinterested and hung over read more

This is my 2nd review for Logan hardware. It is necessary because the service at this store is unmatched. Carl helped us pick out a plant for our house (after we killed over 5). He was funny and supportive. He told us it was our choice in plant and not our over-loving. He picked us out a plant and helped us re-pot it. During the whole process he awed us with his knowledge of plants and his humility for those of us without a green thumb. He was perhaps the best costumer service experience of my life #acelove read more

Great neighborhood hardware store with excellent customer service and a wide selection. Staff went above and beyond to make sure I found what I needed. Despite the narrow storefront, the store is surprisingly big. Support your local hardware stores! read more

Many in DC don't realize that all the Ace Hardware stores now in the District (Tenley, Takoma Park, 5th St, Glover Park, Woodley Park, this Fabulous new location for Logan Park and a few others) are all owned and run by the same people, a wonderful married couple who started the first one, this one on P St, in 2003 for all the right reasons. No high-powered, impersonal entrepreneurs here. Rsther, two people who realized the neighborhoods needed great hardware stores, the big box stores further afield were frustrating to many, and treating employees and customers like Kings and Queens is a good formula for any business. Humble yet determined. Kind yet tenacious. Just a great story all around and we are so fortunate they chose DC to reintroduce the great neighborhood hardware store. Yep, this fantastic new 14th St location is now the flagship for all the DC shops and even a couple in Baltimore. Despite being twice the size of the old P St location with so much more on offer, the heart and soul of this store made the move too! Go figure: consistent values along with hammers, key cutting and Xmas trees! Knowledgable and friendly staff! Greetings at the door when you enter! Real concern and sincerity answering questions or advising on projects. Wow. Wow. And, wow! Have been frequenting these stores since 2003 and on the rare days when I find myself in a Home Depot, I know why more than 3/4 of my home improvement and related spending is at these shops. Please support the DC Ace Hardware stores so we have them for a very long time. They have whatever you need on the shelves with cheer, hospitality and expertise in green aprons always nearby in abundant supply. read more

Huge new space for the store formerly on 14th and P. More inventory and staff who are connected and ready to help you as soon as you walk in. It's great to go upstairs and have a sales associate waiting for you already knowing what you need after being told by the people downstairs. Prices are great and location is convenient. Prefer to support this local business than go to Home Depot any day. read more

Just moved to the neighborhood and this place close has been a huge help. They are right down the street and the staff was supper friendly.
