Have you ever wondered where to get those maple syrup/honey dispensers from restaurants? Or wanted a giant stock pot and not break the bank? Or just wanted a wok the size of a tractor tire? Best (Supply) Equipment Corp is the answer to all of your problems! While it's no Sur La Table, you will find virtually everything you could need to supply a restaurant here. Wall to wall of semi-organized kitchen stuff! Cutting boards (so many colors! and in rubber too), half an isle of knives(they have roast knives!), warming trays, cleaning supplies, frying baskets, plates, bowls, ladles and tasting spoons, cakeware, plastic pitchers, platters, pots and pans of all sizes...you get the point. Also, if you need some cheap cutlery, this is the place for you (they sell forks by the dozen...at like $3/dozen). Since I'm no expert at kitchen supply stores, I'll just tell you what I got for around $40. -Two 9.5" x 13" aluminum sheet pans -One 13" x 18" aluminum sheet pan -pan grate for the large sheet pan -12" thin rolling pin -medium sized 3 part bamboo steamer basket -bamboo skewers -cocktail skewers -fish spatula -sink drain -jigger -rice paddle/spoon They could carry some higher quality stuff (I opted to not go for the mixing bowls because of this issue) or more electronics, but this is such a treasure if you need some basics (or not so basics) on the cheap and don't need to have color choices or your hand held in a warehouse (the place is stacked sky high with all of this chaos). This would also be a fabulous place to pick up some things for party hosting or catering. Also, I give them props for having all of my Asian cookware needs (bamboo baskets, woks, wok spatulas, steamer collanders, and soy sauce dispensers). Their store hours are 8-3:30 Monday to Friday, so put a furlough day to good use. I've been meaning to explore this place for years, so I'm glad I finally made it out here. Takes credit card, and it's a stone's throw from Union Market. 4.5 stars

Great no-nonsense kitchen supply with all the basics and a few extras to boot. Friendly, albeit hands-off service. Great prices.

Location is a little tucked away and nondescript around union market but well worth the trip.

David at KBF miraculously created a new design which (more than) doubled our storage within the existing footprint! In addition the condo's worn (and cheap) cabinets, wallcoverings and countertop were upgraded to beautiful, top-quality, products which will last us many years. Finally, KBF (and their contractor) easily navigated the maze of regulations and procedures required in our large building. Their skill, craftsmanship and professionalism were exemplary. THANK YOU!

The quality of their product surpasses all I've seen in other recent renovations. Their service is excellent from the designer to the contractors that put everything together. Ed, the manager from Old Town B&K, was able to do it! Moreover, he did this over the course of 2 emails and a phone call. He was incredibly helpful in helping me maneuver all of this - dealing with a leaky faucet and a less than interested manufacturer. Unfortunately, the cartridge did not fix the problem and in fact my faucet leak became worst due to internal damage the plumber found. I was soon advised to simply replace the faucet. I emailed Ed and asked for help once again; I sent him a picture of my current faucet and asked what we he could do to help me find something similar. In hours he found multiple alternatives in a great price range - $250 - $350; this was half the price of the faucet I was replacing. The options were all great and I ended up settling on one that I love more than the original faucet. Ed was a savvy advisor that in a few short emails and calls was able to help me find a high quality and beautiful faucet that I love. He was simply SPECTACULAR - especially during a demanding work week and crazy travel schedule. Moreover, Ed worked swiftly to get me the new faucet in two days so I was able to get rid of the leaky one and have a fully operational bathroom again. Simply awesome. And while I feel the mark-up on some of the products seemed a little high, I would surely say it was all worth it considering the amazing customer service and counsel I got from Ed and the team! I plan to return to them for all my bathroom and kitchen needs in the years to come! They were fantastic.

I went in looking for a few low maintenance plants and Cole walked me through several options with real care and attention. I picked up a Hoya Compacta Hindu Rope, a ZZ plant, a Philodendron Lemon Neon, a Bromeliad, a Crassula Jade, an annual, and a six inch Euphorbia Firestick cactus. Every plant looked healthy and well cared for. Since it was a quiet Wednesday morning, I got very personalized attention, but honestly the service here is always excellent even when the store is busy. The staff makes every customer feel valued, no matter how many people are in the shop. The prices are higher than big box stores, but the quality and care of the plants make it worth it. This is easily one of my favorite plant shops in DC and I always leave feeling excited about my new plants. Thank you again to Cole for the great recommendations and wonderful customer service.
