Lockeland Table had been on my list for a very long time, and I was thrilled to finally get to try it. I loved the ambience and the neighborhood is one of my faves in Nashville. LT is lively, but casual and warm. I really liked our server (Jess, I believe). She was friendly. The biscuits are buttery and delicious and I thought I'd gone to heaven. These were probably the best biscuits I've ever had. I would go back for those alone. My entrée was the pork chop, which came with braised greens, smoked mac and cheese, and chowchow. It was absolutely delicious and one of my favorite meals. The pork was tender and the accompaniments were the perfect sides. I didn't order dessert, but wished that I had. There were a few misses, however. My friend ordered a vegetable pizza. The vegetables were unseasoned, and it was very bland. I would probably never order pizza from here. I didn't care for my smoked old-fashioned cocktail. I think that was because they use black walnut bitters and I that night was when I learned that I do not care for black walnut, so that's no fault of LT. However, it's a smoked cocktail and they used Corsair rye, and I would think that if they wanted to make it truly smoky, they would use the Corsair triple smoke. Overall, I really enjoyed LT and would love to return anytime I'm in town.
The restaurant is gorgeous and the staff is attentive, but the food did not live up to the hype and I do not recommend. Half our mussels weren't fully cooked and never opened. The bone marrow was okay. The "highlight" was the pizza and even that wasn't worth bragging about. I definitely see a lot of potential here but I was unfortunately not impressed.
Amazing food! I'm a sucker for anywhere that serves bone marrow and this place did not disappoint! It was smokey and delicious! The mussels were really good too and had a little kick to them. Great service as well! The only challenge can be parking since this is located in a residential area but it's worth it!
Overall, the food was very good. We ordered the pork chop and the catch of the day which was swordfish. The swordfish was tender and moist and really cooked to perfection and had a nice crust on it and wasn't tough like swordfish can be. The pork chop cooked medium. It was very moist and delicious. The greens were fabulous. Mac & cheese was good. With the swordfish, I got cheesy grits, which were amazing. I wanted green beans instead of the grits, but they would not substitute. So I ordered the green beans as a side. Had to pay full price for the side, which in my opinion, you should be able to substitute sides so that didn't make me happy. However, the green beans with the pecans and the bacon, and whatever that sauce was, was worth the extra money. Our waiter was kind of weird and made us feel uncomfortable. Even though we had a reservation for TWO WEEKS ahead of time, our table was small and in the way of traffic. Many other empty tables around us that were never filled. I don't know why we had to sit right inside the front door in the middle of the aisle where everybody was walking by and accidentally hitting us as they walked by. I liked the ambience, but it was a small place, the waiter never smiled. He did an adequate job, but I wouldn't say he was great. The food was very good but not great. Bottom line... I wouldn't go out of my way to do here again.
Great as always! Service was on point. Food was amazing and so fresh. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was the empanadas.
Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and such a lovely experience overall, absolutely perfect for a girls' dinner. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to!
Wow! Our daughter recommended this place to us and we finally got a chance to try it. What great ambiance, fun, not stuffy; close quarters but not TOO close. Our server, Hunter, was perfection. Friendly, helpful and attentive, but not overbearing. There were four of us. Between us we had the bread service- yum!, the wedge salad, which my son and daughter in law couldn't stop raving about, the Mahi Mahi, which got solid reviews but was the least impressive of all our dishes, the pork chop, which I highly recommend, and the winning dish of the night... the stroganoff!! SO GOOD! We all got to try it and I plan to get my own the next time I visit and there WILL be a next time. We finished it off by sharing a cookie skillet which gave us all one good spoonful of delight. Well done Lockeland Table!
Is this the best happy hour in town? I certainly think so, but I'll let you decide. I recently met up with a friend at Lockeland Table on a weeknight, and was quite impressed with this little East Nashville eatery. Street parking isn't too hard to find in this neighborhood. I didn't make a reservation - and instead just decided to arrive right at 4 PM and hope that I could snag a table for two or a couple of seats at the bar. Thankfully there was a spot available for us to enjoy Lockeland Table's "community hour," which is their version of happy hour. Monday - Saturday from 4 - 6 PM, you can enjoy great food and drink specials, and portion of proceeds benefits local schools. My friend and I each ordered had a glass of their house rosé, along with two of their pizzas. For $7 (+ $1 if you add pepperoni), this is an incredible deal for a high-quality pie. It's not a small pizza either ... although no shame if you end up finishing the whole thing like I did. Their regular pizzas are more than double the price, although I still think that's worth it for how tasty everything here is. I'm excited to come back soon for another budget-friendly dinner for a good cause!
I was staying at the Urban Cowboy, across the street, and decided to head in for a meal. Then Bad Idea called and we went there instead, so this is jsut about the Community Hour. Based on the few food items we had, I would say 3 stars on food, but that would not be fair to Lockeland as we did not eat a full meal. The place is a bit tight and darker, which gives a mixed ambiance (is it date night or drinking night?). The appetizers were average. The hummus tasted more like a bean dip, as I did not get any hint of the tahini. Perhaps there, but, if so, they need to add a bit more. Pricing on community hour was on point and I could see this being a cheers spot for the locals in the area. Will I return? Yes, but primarily to give the place a chance with dinner or to grab a cocktail during community hour at the bar.
We knew we wanted some really good eats on our trip to Nashville! This restaurant was truly the highlight of our food tour. Everything was so fresh and so delicious. The bone marrow appetizer was our favorite. The dinner vibe was fun and social, and felt electric. We were well tended to by the wait staff. We loved everything we ordered and finished with banana foster, which of course was incredible. Run, don't walk, to Lockeland Table!
Lockeland Table is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. It's the kind of place that feels both elevated and inviting, with a true farm-to-table approach that shines in every dish. The food is top notch. The wood-fired chicken is perfectly tender and flavorful, the pork chop is juicy and rich, and the mussels are some of the best I've had--fresh, aromatic, and swimming in a broth you'll want to soak up with their crusty bread. And you must order the bone marrow! Everything tastes fresh, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying. Combine that with warm, attentive service and a cozy neighborhood setting, and you've got a dining experience that keeps you coming back.
My friends and I visited this farm table restaurant on an extremely stormy night. However, we had a great food experience! We tried a lot of the menu and all of the dishes, tasted incredibly fresh and had generous portions. Our favorites were definitely the chicken dish, the salad, the mac & cheese, the cheddar biscuits, and the pizzas. Lasagna was very good as well, but a little bit heavy. We also split a cookie skillet for dessert which was satisfactory. The service left a lot to be desired, but it was still a great neighborhood spot in East Nashville to hit up if you ever find yourself there.
Went tonight for a dinner with friends. Parking in the street nearby wasn't difficult to find even on a Saturday night. The staff were warm and friendly. The ambiance was a cozy neighborhood restaurant. The server explained the menus to us. We went during community hour and got drinks, the hummus and the daily special which was roasted carrots and broccoli. For entrees we got the seasonal halibut which came with grits and vegetables and the NY strip which came with chimichurri, greenbeans, tomatoes and pecans. Everything tasted great! Everything was seasoned expertly with the right amount of salt, herbs and acid. My favorite part of the meal was the greenbeans with pecans, chimichurri, and tomatoes on the side of the steak; it had a great smoky, vinegary flavor. It's easy to see why this restaurant is such a staple in east Nashville. I can't wait to go back.

They take reservations. Accommodation was made for our walk in at an outside table, perfect spot to take in the local vibe in the Lockeland area. Our food and service was A+ served up with locally sourced items and very good. read more

This place was the food highlight of our trip! We ordered: - Seasonal BLT salad - Mussels- the sauce and sourdough with this were bursting with flavor - New york strip with green beans- the green beans are cooked in smokes vinegar and one of the most exquisite flavors I have experienced. The steak was perfectly cooked and had that grilled flavor - Vegetarian ziti- perfectly cooked, not too done. Every single element was balanced and well thought out. - Cookie skillet- crispy cookie and vanilla gelato brought the brown sugar in the cookie. this is not your mama's cookie skillet; this is elevated and quality. Our waiter was so kind and attentive and answered all of our questions. The vibe was fun and chill. The only downside is parking but don't let that stop you from experiencing this unassuming neighborhood gem! read more

A nice spot to eat in East Nashville. Aesthetic was trendy and moody and the vibe was a really nice dinner setting. We were able to make a reservation a couple days before for a Saturday dinner. Staff was attentive and gave good suggestions. Everything was nicely plated and I think overall the dishes were good, but I didn't personally think I needed to have anything again per say. What we ordered: + smoked bone marrow - pickled red onion & parsley salad, smoked salt, grilled FM sourdough - generous to make sure we had 4 pieces, one for each of us, bread was toasted to near burnt, and I wish there was more herbs/onions to eat with + queso fondito - PRB chorizo, pumpkin seeds, cilantro, warm tortillas, escabeche - nice cheese blend, but I think it was missing some more oomph, I think I prefer the crunchy chip than tortilla + SM grilled 12oz bone-in pork chop - TN smoked cheddar mac and cheese, braised greens, TN chow chow - Not our favorite entree but I liked the cheddar mac + beef short rib stroganoff - Nicoletto's rigatoni, roasted onion, mushroom & garlic, sour cream - my favorite dish of the night! A unique way to present a classic dish and I thought it was delicious. + Empanadas - crispy exterior and good filling, the chimichurri was more oil-tasting than additional flavor + Gem salad with fried tomatoes - I like the fried tomatoes! I think a romaine would be better than the gem lettuce as it was a little soft. We were stuffed afterwards so this amount was plenty for 4 people. Price was also reasonable! read more

Everyone knows Community Hour has the best deals in town. $7 apps and cocktails can't be beaten, especially when the portions are generous and delish! My favorites are the queso with tortillas and arancini, both came out piping hot and fresh. The ambiance inside is perfect for everything from date night, girls night, or treating yourself to a solo meal. Will be back often! read more
Lockeland table is a cozy spot with great food in East Nashville. I love the amount of different options this place has. Their community hour is amazing and they donate proceeds from community hour. The portions are generous and the food and drinks are yummy. For drinks, there was wine and cocktail options. It was packed at 5pm for community hour so definitely make a reservations. I got the wings which was a must try! The wings were so flavorful and had great flavors (gochujang I think?), but get ready to get your hands filled with chicken wing sauce. The white bean hummus was also fantastic. I love that it came with both pita chips and vegetables, it was a great dip. read more

We had an amazing experience last night! The food was amazing! We were planning our next meal there while we were eating. Order the Bone Marrow! That's w good sign. Kristen was great. Great food, nice vibe and the best server! Carrie took care of us and helped us decide on the perfect meal. Great selection of dishes from seafood, steak, chicken and vegetarian. Delish cocktails and nice wine selection. I'd go there regularly if I lived in Nashville. You must give it a try and I know you won't be disappointed. Lockeland Table was easily the best meal we had in Nashville. After a day of exploring and being out on Broadway, it was the perfect change of pace. It's in a very cute neighborhood. I would highly recommend making a reservation because it was completely packed on a Saturday evening. We ordered the steak that came with green beans and the grilled pork chop that came on a bed of mac & cheese. We really enjoyed both meals. The mac & cheese tasted smoked and the chutney on top of the pork chop was the perfect addition. Service was top-notch and I'd definitely visit again. read more
Returned to Lockeland Table for my second time and I was equally as impressed as the first time! The quaint house in East Nashville is the perfect mix of comfort and indulgence. Our server was knowledgeable about the daily specials and enjoyable to chat with. The food was all phenomenal! From white bean hummus to crispy Korean wings to red fish, we loved every plate we tried! I personally am obsessed with the red curry mussels as they pack a punch of flavor with their sauce! They host a great community hour from 4-6 (I believe) and have a wide range of drinks & snacks to pick from for ~ $7 each! In addition to getting to try a lot of fun options for less, part of the proceeds from community hour goes to local schools! read more

The vibe is casual, dark inside can be loud and the wood fired pizza oven definitely adds character. The service is fine, nothing bad to say about it. The food is...questionable. I did enjoy 2 of the appetizers there but I felt the entree I got and the desserts my table shared were lacking. The pate is some of the best pate I've had, seem like they make it there and the jam works amazing with it even though I was skeptical. The definite star of the show was the Red Thai Curry Mussels. The spice and flavor were top tier and the portion was large, felt sufficient for our table of 3. We also got the empanadas of the day which were good but it comes out as 2 large ones so we just had to split it. I got the pork chop and it was cooked beautifully but swimming in the sea of marmalade onions was not doing it any justice. I couldn't stomach it. The pork chop had no flavor otherwise. The sweet potato mash was nothing special. As for the dessert, a true disaster. The Banana Foster Breas pudding tasted like a banana walnut muffin that went stale 3 days ago...not moist in the slightest. We also shared the cheese cake, and it wasn't anything special. Just sweetened cream cheese in a circle over Graham cracker crumbs and some raspberries and raspberry syrup ontop. Overall would not go again, definitely not worth all the money spent. read more

I met some friends for a double date at Lockeland Table for its community hour. It was my first visit, and I really enjoyed it. There was an excellent selection of drinks and apps during community hour. We tried quite a few different things - queso, hummus, wings, hot chicken tacos, and pizza. My FIRST time dining at Lockeland Table after hearing all about it for years was exceptional. I made reservations for my wife & I to enjoy the Valentine's Day dinner set menu at $95 per person plus tax & drinks. I had originally made the reservation for 9 PM, which, after working a full day the day before, and then spending eight hours, trying to move back into our house after some construction was finished we moved it to 430 because we were utterly exhausted & knew a 9pm dinner on a weekday would be tough. We arrived a few minutes early just after they had opened & for the most part. It was empty with the exception of a few people already nestled up to the bar, and two tables seated in the back for the dinner service. My wife and I were quickly taken to our table and our drinks brought out while we pondered our choices from the special menu offerings. I had already browsed on the website a few days before, and had a good idea of what I was gonna go with, but I asked our server Jessica to tell me what she liked the most from what they had sampled, and I went with her recommendations. My choices: Smoked & grilled Korean ribs (starter), Lobster Bisque (soup), Maple Leaf Rendered Duck Breast (Main), Amaretto tart (Dessert). My wife's choices: Sautéed gulf shrimp (starter), kale cabbage salad (salad), wood fired miso honey salmon (main), triple cream (dessert) Since we were so early, and the restaurant had not begun to pick up yet, Jessica said she would make sure to give us plenty of time in between each course before she brought it out, which we greatly appreciated because it allowed us to enjoy it more thoroughly. Out of everything I got, I would have to say the Maple leaf rendered duck breast was the highlight. I'm not certain I've ever ordered duck as an entrée dish before primarily because it's not very commonly offered. However, if I ever have the option to order it and I can expect it to be even half as good as this, I definitely will. There was not an underwhelming dish present from our selections & I would without hesitation consider coming here again for a special occasion if they offer a curated menu like this. Went to Lockeland Table in East Nashville for the first time with some friends during their "community hour". This is an amazing concept more restaurants should adopt. It's a happy hour that also gives some proceeds to a local cause. The community hour has great drink and food deals. The tacos were great and had a nice kick at the end. The wings were also very tasty but keep a napkin close like most wings! Great service and street parking readily available surrounding the restaurant. Had a great time and will be back soon! read more
