Nice venue and an easy walk from Vanderbilt. Service was on the slower side(crowded restaurant) but our server was great and I appreciate that they seated our larger group despite not having a reservation. Food was a bit salty, and sushi rice on the wetter side, but good eats and our friends who got steak seemed happy.

We enjoyed a relaxing dinner in this trendy spot in downtown Nashville before we hit the symphony. Great find. Service was attentive and we enjoyed the Chilean sea bass and the pork dumplings. Both were good but the dumplings could have been less chewy. The drinks were timely and they have a nice selection of wine by the glass. We will be back and I highly recommend this classic vibe before a special event or date night.

I met up with a friend for brunch for the first time. We had reservations, but it seems you might be able to be seated rather quickly without one. The bar seemed to fill up fast. It's your typical chain steak house, but the seating is comfortable. Love: Eggs BrickTop's (cheesy casserole with the right amount of eggs & sausage); roasted potatoes (seasoned well & crisp); huevos rancheros (friend enjoyed this); chocolate chip cookie (warm with crispy edges & cold vanilla ice cream) Like: server (kind, helpful)

Ambiance | Salmon | cocktails Ambiance - A perfect spot for date nights and special occasions, this restaurant features rich dark wood accents, dim lighting, and an intimate ambiance. Elegant yet cozy, it sets the stage for meaningful conversations and memorable dining experiences. Salmon - The salmon dish was solid--nicely cooked but not particularly memorable. Served with steamed broccoli and creamy mashed potatoes, it made for a well-rounded, satisfying meal. Good overall, but lacked the standout flavor to make it truly great. Cocktails - The lemon margarita was a refreshing twist on the classic--bright, citrusy, and well-balanced with just the right kick. It was smooth, easy to sip, and a solid choice for those who enjoy a zesty, flavorful cocktail. Pro tip: make a reservation during peak hours. Why not 5 stars: the service is a bit slow in terms of seating. We went 5-10 minutes before our reservation, waited 15-20 minutes only to see the restaurant was maybe 60% full. Overall, the service, while helpful was slow. They did a nice touch of giving my wife a congratulations note for her graduation dinner we did at her restaurant where everyone on staff signed her card.

This spot is in a downward spiral. I literally sat there with my food that had issues for 10 minutes without a soul making eye contact. Finally decided to just eat cause I am an out of town we and was hungry. Then finished my meal and waited some more. Finally someone came by and asked if I was finished and I said that I was unhappy but done with the food. She took my food and pointed me to the check from the cup / didn't care that I was unhappy. I waited awhile and then had to literally flag someone down to get someone to acknowledge me and asked for a manager. After a few minutes a manager showed up by my elbow and just said "yes?". Confusing interaction but okay. I explained the story and she said she would comp my meal. I explained that that wasn't the point at all and I wanted to discuss the items more and she just said she would be right back and disappeared. Yeah, the level of care and service and food? Downhill. Do not go here if you care about quality.

Chicken Milanese. First time good choice!

Great bar experience.. staff attentive engaging and all around good experience.. Several TVS to watch sports.

Fantastic restaurant, very accommodating to our last minute party of 10, got us in and the wait staff was phenomenal. The apps, had a little bit of everything deviled eggs 10/10, calamari 9/10 chips and dip 9/10 bacon 11/10, Caesar salad 9/10, overall fantastic flavor and perfect in presentation. Moving to dinner, I love crab cakes and these cakes were stiffed with crab and some of the best I've had, kudos to the chef! The drinks were spectacular pineapple martini's good banana bread manhattans phenomenal, had a glass of wine which was a red and teaming with flavor. Dessert was great carrot cake was moist and the icing was sweet and complemented the cake, key lime pie perfect. This place could have gotten 6 stars. Very good and worth every penny. I'll be back. Thanks

Stopped in for a late lunch with my partner. Surprisingly busy but cozy environment. We waited a bit to be served but the server made up for it with excellent service. I started with the lobster bisque which was delicious. I then ordered a crab cake which was pretty good. I wasn't expecting as fresh tasting of a crab cake but was pleasantly surprised. My partner ordered the steak frites and he enjoyed the meal. Great spot for a lunch date!

BrickTop's is always just so consistent. I haven't been here in awhile but returned and it was great as I always remember. Made a reservation on Thursday for Friday at 6pm. Arrived a few minutes early and were greeted warmly and immediately taken to our table. Server brought us menus and gave us the specials menu. (Surprisingly the sushi here is not bad!) i ordered fries as an appetizer which came out in about 5 minutes. We ordered our entrees a few minutes later which came out in about 15 minutes. Everything was as ordered and tasted great. We ate everything and enjoyed ourselves. Really recommend! It can be a little noisy but it's not so bad that you can't hear the others at your table. Also - parking situation is pay for parking, but it was $1.75 per hour for us on the street. I'm not sure if the lot is pay or not but there weren't any spots in the lot.

We made a reservation for brunch and were seated outside pretty quickly after checking in, It was such a nice day to sit outside. The food was absolutely delicious -- everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. It quite busy, but it seemed like the surrounding tables were being tended to except ours. After we ordered the donuts to start, our waiter never came back to check on us or refill our waters until our entrees arrived. We had to ask another server for water and to get our waiter so I could order a drink. I'd definitely come back for the food, but I hope for a much better service experience next time.

Today I ordered the Shanghai shrimp to go and the waiter said the portions have been recently changed from 12 to 6 shrimp per appetizer. Since they cut the portion sizes is it fair to charge the same for half as much food?

Of course not! There should be options for the customers in ordering and nothing has increased 100%!

The hostess greeted us with "if you don't have a reservation, you can have a table for 45 minutes." No where did I see that reservations are required. Luckily 3 spots opened at the bar so we sat there because we were told "you can sit there with no time limit." The bartender serving us made no effort to look anything but annoyed with our presence. We had never been there and had questions but she would just point at the menu. I ordered a Diet Coke, which came in a can, one person with me ordered an old fashioned which was more glass than drink and the other people picked a beer from the list the bartender silently pointed at. This would have been a cool place if at least 1 person working here didn't look like they hated being there. Because of how we had been treated from the start we only ordered 2 appetizers, the dip and the flatbread. The dip was fine but the flatbread was like cat food on burnt toast. Oh and don't bother ordering a tea, I saw them serving bottles of gold peak tea, can't even brew tea. I do not recommend this spot unless you are okay with feeling like a burden and eating subpar food.

It is tucked in a neighborhood in the West End, and most people were surprised we found it or had heard of it as non-locals. It is a very popular spot. We arrived 20 minutes early and snagged the last parking spot in the lot behind the restaurant. Eric R. wanted to sit outside, so we were directed to wait at the bar until a table opened up. I got the cucumber sage yuzu spritz mocktail, and Eric R. got a local amber beer. Our table was ready within 10 or 15 minutes, so we migrated to it for dinner. Our server was helpful in providing recommendations. We started with three shareables: the mussels in lemongrass serrano beer broth and grilled bread, tempura long-stemmed artichokes on Calabrian chile mascarpone, and the lamb lollipops with pearled cous cous. I tasted the lamb, and it was heavenly, like melt-in-your-mouth tender but with a lot of caramelization. That was really Eric R.'s choice so I let him eat the majority of it. I really enjoyed the mussels and the artichokes! Everything was hot and delicious. I was sipping broth with a mussel shell when the bread ran out, and the host came out with more bread for us! It was so good. We asked to see a dessert menu. Eric R. had a tough choice between carrot cake and blondie with caramel ice cream, but was steered toward the blondie and did not regret it. I asked what the house made ice cream was for the day, and it was coconut matcha with a white chocolate shell topping. That sounded so perfect, and it was AMAZING. The evening was beautiful, the restaurant was lovely, the service was fantastic, and the food was delicious! That is the answer!

Is there anything better than finding a delicious vegan restaurant with great customer service?…read more Avo is just that! I came into town late and was looking to pickup some food. The team was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it came to their menu and allergens. They walked me through the lentil walnut and cali burger and how to make those soy-free (remove the coconut cheese/queso). They also walked me through other options and were happy to do so, which can be rare. The Cali Burger had amazing spice and the sweet potato bun was soft and delicious. Fries and buffalo wings were on point! My non-vegan colleagues originally wanted to go elsewhere but ended up devouring their options as they couldn't say "no" when they tasted the food. Now the standouts... the blueberry cheesecake was a 10/10....so good, rich, and flavorful. The potatoes with queso at the bottom were also amazing, definitely a 9/10. I ordered an iced matcha latte, which I really enjoyed it's slightly on the sweeter side, but still a 9/10 for me. My son got the animal-style burger and absolutely loved it, he gave it a 10/10. On top of the food, the staff was really kind and the customer service was great. I even had the chance to meet the owner, who was incredibly sweet. Overall, I definitely recommend this spot if you're in Nashville. I'll be coming back every time I'm in the city.
