I had lunch at Avo for the first time after church today. I sat at the bar. The bartender was nice and friendly. The food was great. My birthday is June 30th. I decided to try a new place everyday for the month of June. I am happy went to Avo.

Tucked away in Nashville's charming Germantown neighborhood, AVO is an absolute must for anyone who loves fresh, vibrant, and truly inspiring vegan cuisine. The moment I walked in, the space radiated that relaxed-yet-refined Nashville energy -- modern, bright, and full of life. Their menu features both raw and cooked dishes, and everything I tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. You can really taste the care and creativity that goes into each plate -- the ingredients feel alive, and the combinations are spot-on. It's the kind of food that makes you feel good while you're eating it. Our waitress was an absolute delight -- she had that warm, genuine Southern hospitality that makes you feel like you're chatting with a friend, or even your favorite neighbor. The service was effortless and friendly in the best way possible. From start to finish, AVO exceeded my expectations. It's refreshing to find a vegan restaurant that balances health, flavor, and atmosphere so perfectly. Whether you're plant-based or just exploring, this spot deserves a top spot on your Nashville food list. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. *Highly recommend the kimchi spring rolls . *

I made a point to stop by Avo while in Nashville visiting family. I tried the Kimchi Spring Rolls which were creatively made with kimchi cashew pâté, hydrogreens, cucumber, carrot & cabbage, replace the peanut sauce with tahini sauce. I also ordered the Cauliflower Wings (great version) - gochujang style, a good mix of sweet & spice. The owner (originally from Atlanta) was welcoming, as we chatted about the history and progression of Avo. The lounging and bar area offers a cozy atmosphere with a welcoming ambiance. Avo delivers a creative, top-shelf twist on vegan cuisine in a fast-casual setting. Great price point for the portions. I'd recommend Avo for a casual, yet inviting plant-based meal dining inside, patio side or on the move.

The ambiance of AVO was really nice with great decorations. The service from the staff was amazing and they were always checking in on how we were doing. My favorite dish was the cauliflower wings with gochujang sauce, I would 10/10 recommend, it was SO GOOD! The area around AVO is also a really nice vibe and a great place to walk around.

This is an incredible option for vegans and overall healthy eaters! The service was incredible, he was especially attentive to my extensive allergies. They have a pretty good happy hour menu with a delicious (and strong) lavender gimlet. The space itself is stunning! I only wish there was a little more variety in the menu, but I am not vegan and not the a super healthy eater so I am not the target audience and that's okay! Due to my allergies, I only had a few options. I ordered the pesto penne and it was not my favorite. I have had vegan pesto before, but I think all the added vegetables with pesto pasta turned me off. I have never had carrots in my pesto pasta before lol. Overall, I would return for happy hour and I would recommend to anyone!

Popped in for a quick and healthy lunch. There is nearby parking that is free for up to 2 hours. The restaurant is beautiful, light and airy, with lots of windows and cute decor. We were sat right away in a corner both. Our server Stephanie was so friendly, attentive and kind. She did a great job walking us through the menu, and had only nice things to say about Avo. I got the impression she was very passionate about working there. The menu is large and impressive for a vegan restaurant. My dining partner and I were not vegan, but truly enjoyed every bite. We ordered a half kale Caesar which was still generous in size, the bigass hashbrown, and buffalo and garlic parm cauliflower wings. Dare I say, the bigass has brown which come topped with garlic sauce, avocado, an golden beets was the best hashbrown I have ever had. The kale Caesar was impressive for a dairy free dish. The cauliflower wings were flavorful and also generous for a half portion. We will be back for sure!

STORY TIME: I went to Avo after a long day of work. I called them around 1:45pm and they said that the kitchen would stay open until I got there (around 2pm). My wonderful waitress, Adison, made sure I got the DELICIOUS nachos ! Everything was so filling that I had to save a portion for dinner ! The ambiance is very casual, it would be a great place for a date, to meet with friends or a business event. I'm planning to come back and try the Kale Caesar Salad or Spring Rolls !

As many people saw, Avo shared a video about needing some community support and my friends and I were happy for the reminder to go! I appreciated that the business gave us the opportunity to help them rather than so many that seem to just up and close overnight. I hope the Nashville community all goes to check out Avo! Even as a non-vegan, the food is just delicious. First, I got the Killer Bee drink - yum. My friends and I got the spring rolls and fried potatoes to start. I never met a potato I didn't like and these were no exception! We loved both appetizers. I got the tofu katsu for my main and it was such a generous portion! I had plenty for lunch the next day which is always great. We did go on a music night and have to request to have our table moved because we were seated so close to the band and their support team. It was pretty hard to talk over the music and the table felt very cramped. The hostess was very helpful and got us a new table. Once we were farther away, the background music was nice!

This was my second time coming and wasn't disappointed. We came for brunch to celebrate my husband's birthday. He's vegan and I enjoy vegan food. I love the cauliflower wings and it was just as good as the first time I had them. Just enjoy spice and cooked to perfection. My husband had the breakfast burrito he really likes it. We also shared a side of fries. The catch up looked like raspberry preserves, but it tasted very much like ketchup. The vegan ranch was good as well. We will definitely be back, there are some other items we want to try. Our waitress was very nice and the restaurant was very clean.

Absolutely delicious! If you have a friend or family member who's on the fence about plant-based food, bring them to Avo. I stopped in for a working lunch on a weekday, and received memorable service from Iris and the rest of the team. I let her know that it was my first time dining here, and she offered great menu recommendations. The Lunch Trio is a great value for folks who want to try a little bit of everything (like me). You get to select three different small plates from three categories for $17, and it's so much food! I ordered their seasonal Deli Salad, which was kind of like a cold Pad Thai, the Fried Potatoes, and the OG Nachos. Everything came out quickly, and offered a fun mix of flavors and textures. Pro tip - dip your fried potatoes in the nacho "cheese" sauce. The interior of the restaurant is bright and welcoming  - with beautiful modern accents throughout. They even offer dog-friendly seating on their patio! I can't wait to return soon to try their "Hey Hey" dinner pop-up.

And yet another wonderful meal at Avo last night during their Italian popup event. They do great things with cocktails and this one did not disappoint. My meal consisted of fried artichokes in a yummy dipping sauce along with homemade focaccia and stuffed manicotti. Hard to believe this is a plant based restaurant as their food is so good and well executed. Do visit this charming eatery as I believe you will not be disappointed.

What a cool spot, the environment is trendy and cozy! If you are looking for great, plant-based for everyone to enjoy - Avo is the spot! And I love some good meat, but this place is incredible. Service is quick and friendly!

Such an excellent find in Nashville - it was busy and full on a Saturday night, which made me happy to see. Service was friendly and ambiance was fresh. I chose to visit for dinner so I could try the items from the Hey Hey menu doing a "residency" temporarily. I love the concept and appreciated being able to enjoy plant-based gluten-free dishes that I otherwise can never try. I did enjoy the appetizers more than the entrees but all the food was a unique experience.

Has Avo started serving cooked vegan food as well as raw?

Yes, definitely. Our cauliflower was steaming hot and blackened (in a good way). They offer more cooked foods than raw but there was still raw options (noted with an asterisks). All of the desserts were raw.

There was no live music available at the time, but they did have a DJ which I thought was spinning the turntable rather well. It's my bad that I didn't also catch on that his is basically a Tequila Bar, rather than a more general craft cocktail establishment. Judging by the well stocked bar and the word of our waitress, other alcohol and their associated craft creations are available, but it's pretty much off menu and not well into our waitress' repertoire. And yes, Cinco de Mayo was just a few days away. One member of our party just wanted a soft drink, which was not possible that night as their CO2 was down. That did make me wonder whether the non-alcohol drinkers had much to chose from here. I suppose we could have then wandered over to the Redemption Bar at Chief's? Anyway, we're not Tequila Drinkers, and since other drink options appeared to be guesswork, we left towards more traditional mixed drinks (and live music) at a nearby Printers Alley bar. This was a rare night that I really wanted a craft cocktail in a smooth environment, and in the end it just wasn't the same.
