The dispatch guy who spoke to me that morning said he had escalated my call to the supervisor. Either way, I am thankful it finally got to him and contacted me. He was very nice and said someone would be out the next day for sure. Cue came Friday afternoon and did some repairs. He was kind as well, and seemed to know what he was doing. I am glad to have my garage door working properly again. It was super frustrating to get someone on the line and to show up, but once they did, the job was completed. Thank you I do NOT recommend- they don't appreciate the business. Take yours elsewhere. We originally contacted this company to repair our garage system in September 2023. It is now May 2024 and we have been having issues for weeks now. I reached out the company days ago and scheduled for someone to come Tuesday between 9-11am. Someone from the office called at 11:15 asking if the repairman had shown up. I told him no which then he replied with "oh, well there was an accident so he won't be coming". I thought this was pretty comical as the only other time we used them back in September, we were told there was an accident when the guy didn't show up that day either. I'm unsure if this is just their go to excuse, or if everyone there is a walking hazard. Anyway, they rescheduled for 4pm later that day, again no show and no call from anyone. I reached out multiple times and left voicemails that night. Wednesday comes and goes with myself reaching out multiple times and STILL NO response. This company has been horrible to deal with and clearly doesn't have time for any more on their plate. They also could have potentially sold and installed a defective product and won't come look at it now as it is within the warranty time. Pretty sketchy in my opinion. Save yourself the headache and money and go somewhere else.

While the person in charge was very responsive to my initial request to come out, once they charged my credit card they ghosted me. I've tried several times to reach them by email and text to get a receipt and to ask for someone to come take a look at the door because it's making a horrible noise. I was working through a home warranty company and needed a quote that met their specific approval requirements before the repair or replacement could be authorized. After inspecting the unit, David provided a quote exactly in the format I needed for the warranty company to review. Once the work was approved, I scheduled the installation with David. He arrived on time and was once again very professional and easy to work with. After installing the new garage door opener, he noticed that my garage door itself was out of alignment and not properly balanced. Although this wasn't covered by my warranty, David took the time to fix the issue, lubricate the door, and properly balance it at no additional charge. My garage door is now functioning better than it did when it was first installed. Before contacting D2 Garage Doors, I had two other companies provide quotes that were over $200 higher than David's--and that was just for replacing the opener without addressing the additional issues. I highly recommend David and D2 Garage Doors for any garage door repairs or service. I will definitely be calling D2 again in the future if I need any additional work done.

HUGE rave: David - D2 Garage Door…read more My garage door completely broke on me this evening around 6pm. It was a major break that was also a major expense and I was terrified of us having to replace the entire garage door from the damages. I called around, as my go-to guy (David) was out with his family and, unfortunately, I wasn't able to get anyone out. I reached out one more time to David, and he let me know he would come by after they got home. Guys, it was 9pm. He saved my ass. My garage door would NOT shut. No way, no how. The spring broke, and the top corners completely snapped (see pictures) from it trying to go down anyways. He came and spent over an hour working on it (while explaining it all to me and showing me what happened, and how he was fixing each individual issue). His fix, I know, will last and I feel so confident in that after seeing his work and the MUCH stronger parts that he replaced the broken ones with. Instead of me having to get a whole new garage door, he put metal braces where the top broke, on either side, to ensure it holds strong. The old spring was so tiny, they put it inside of the skinny metal bar (that David also replaced), and put this spring on. It's about 4x larger than the broken one, way more durable, and my garage is now quieter than it's ever been since my house was built in 2020. He is a prime example why it's important to support local small businesses and I'm beyond grateful to him (and his family!) for the help and time he chose to dedicate to my garage instead of being with his family, or getting much deserved sleep! There are many disreputable, sleazy construction contractors in Austin and also a few good and honest ones. Try and find one of the honest ones. If the person you're hiring is kind of pushy and insistent that you sign a contract with a lot of questionable clauses (must go to arbitration in case of a dispute, etc..) take this as a sign that they have been in many disputes with previous customers and make your exit as quickly as possible. I am blogging my review from my own personal experience for my home & a friend/neighbor's home done by Evco Remodeling. The project-to keep simple was for new countertops, back splash & all new fixtures in our home to prepare it to sell. After calling and personally speaking with the owner, Roger, I felt more than comfortable setting an appointment. He answered almost all of my bazillion & bizarre questions as I was pretty much trying to force a quote over the phone :) The next day the hubby & I met with him and just by him being so accurate with the "pre-quote" over the phone and his professional advice & demeanor my we decided he had more knowledge than the previous contractors we had met. We went forward. Roger went over a simple 2 page contract with us binding us together (which I do NOT agree with the guys comment below WHATSOEVER, I think there should be a contract in place... for your protection and theirs) and then we paid half of our price at the time we signed and was told we would pay the rest on the last day! Work started almost IMMEDIATLY... the men were very nice, dressed appropriately and in hopes to not "offended" anyone reading this I'll keep it simple by saying these were not your usual contractors coming into our home. They were polite, clean, wiped their feet and I could tell they were really going out of their ways to make my family and I feel comfortable while in our space- which most certainly has to be harder said than done! I watched as the work was being done and never questioned if something was right or wrong, never had any worries, issues about them showing up on time, or work not getting finished. The owner would call and ask how things were going and he was also stopping by and doing MUCH supervising! I basically never had any questions on concerns with the work being done. All said and done my home turned out to beautiful... almost to the point my husband and I didn't want to sell anymore!!!! :) It was like a brand new home!! Who would of known what a HUGE difference a little remodeling can do for your house! If it wasn't for our relocation back to Houston I would still be there now. Just keep in mind if you are in the Austin area and need remodeling that Evco treated me AMAZING from start to finish. The work, people & prices were great and completely exceeded our expectations. So, if you, fellow yelper, need a great remodeling company my experience is well worth you giving them a chance! They 100% have my recommendation!
