First off, communication (email & phone) with Dan (owner), Jason, and Miguel was on point! For both visits, they called at least 30 minutes in advance to let me know of their ETA. I'd submitted my email to get their online coupons. Pricing was very good and didn't waiver (no upsell, no hidden charges, etc). And the service provided was just what we wanted/needed. We'd been having an intermittent issue with the door stopping a foot or two short. This type of issue can be hard to diagnose sometimes when the issue isn't obvious. I had several back-n-forth emails with Dan (owner) wherein he gave me various instructions on things to check/tweak in case I was able to fix it myself. I'd let him know that I'd replaced the motor etc myself awhile back and that I could likely handle a few basic tasks. I think most garage door repair companies would simply want to send a technician out. It's a business after all. And among other things, businesses exist to make money. So I was pleasantly surprised when he kept trying to solve my problem without having to send anyone out ... and without billing us. In the end, I did ask that they send someone out after I'd exhausted my abilities. During their first visit, Miguel and his brother performed a tune up, checked and adjusted the belt tension, installed new ball bearing rollers as ours were really old, installed the new sensors that I had sitting on a shelf that'd come with the new motor, and lubricated everything. The door stopped again (just once) several days later. So I asked that they come back over. Miguel came by himself this second visit and checked everything out and determined that the problem is likely due to a bent panel section on the door that's flexing a little. We were given a suggested fix but it's just not worth spending the money on at this time. Of course, no charge for this follow up visit. I also ended up having a thorough conversation with Miguel regarding the garage door industry -- specifically the ethics more or less with some companies. We talked about how some companies may overcharge, some may take advantage of folks who just don't know better, some may perform unnecessary services ... all to get a bigger payday. He spoke VERY highly of his employer (Dan) and the team with whom he works. He came across as being proud to be working for an upstanding company that can help people without taking advantage of them. It's nice (and too rare) to hear someone speak so highly of their job, etc. read more

This company was great right from the start. Called and got a real person who had a team in my area to fix my garage door which had a broken spring. They sent a text when they were 15 minutes out and came within a couple hours. The two guys were younger but knowledgeable and let me know I needed a conversion kit. He got a quote from their office right then and there and told me they'd be back later that day. A couple hours later, 2 other guys showed up (also texting to let me know they were inbound) and got me hooked up in what seemed like 30 minutes. I had a bunch of questions about the new setup and maintenance and they had answers for everything. Everyone I interacted with was professional and now I'm clear on the garage door for another decade. read more

Great service, simple booking process, Jason was super helpful with coming out to quote my new door and installation. Pricing was very fair.

We are very happy with the appearance and functionality of our new door. Our old door was so loud and shaky that it was like nails on a chalkboard every time we opened it. Jason helped us choose a new door within our budget and went above our expectations in installing all new tracks, hardware etc... he even set us up with a maintenance schedule to protect our investment. Now our garage stays a nice temperature with our insulated door but let's a nice amount of light in. Also, no bugs or critters have been making their way in since we have all new seals and everything fits properly. I would highly recommend Hutchins and ask for Jason to be your project manager. You won't be disappointed! read more

Had a great experience with Hutchins. My garage doors needed to be sealed around the edges. They were able to fit me in the day after I called and did a fantastic job. My technician even noticed a few installation errors made by a different company and fixed them for free. I wish I had known about them sooner! read more

Really happy that Hutchins technicians were able to repair our garage door and we are able to avoid the expense of buying a new one! Hurrah! They came promptly, got the work done in a reasonable amount of time for a fair price and left a tidy work space. Thank you. read more

I received just terrible service from this company. I called this company to inquire about having a side-mounted garage door opener installed and having one of my garage doors raised a few inches closer to the ceiling. I basically needed them to install a new opener and to lengthen my side rails. After 2 calls they sent a service technician out to my house. He was friendly enough and he reviewed my situation and promised to call me with a quote "in a day or two". 3 days later, as I had not heard from the technician, I called Hutchins Garage Doors to inquire about my quote. I was surprised to get an answering machine during business hours and I left a message. I waited 2 more days and called again. This time a woman answered the phone, said she was looking at my paperwork, and promised that someone would call me later that day. 3 days later I had still not heard from the technician so I called yet again. The same woman answered the phone and I rather pointedly asked her if they were even interested in this job. She then put me on hold to go talk to the technician. When she came back on the line, she told me that it would cost $5,500 (yes, you read that right). I asked her how it could possibly cost so much and she said "those openers are real expensive". I hung up the phone and pulled up Google. Turns out, the opener I was getting costs all of $320. So they were only charging me $5,180 for labor, I guess. It's obvious to me why this happened. When the technician came to look at my garage, he saw that I owned several expensive sports cars and I could have sworn that I saw dollar signs flashing in his eyes. I have to assume that these people just made up a number figuring they had hit the jackpot. The end of this story? I called another company and their technician came out and quoted me $1,196 for the same job. I guess it pays to shop around. Especially if you're dealing with Hutchins. read more

My garage door wouldn't close. Technician arrived that very day and fixed the problem in short order. They couldn't have been more professional or nicer. I highly recommend Hutchins Garage Doors. read more

I definitely recommend that you DO NOT use this company to install your garage doors. The service is awful. They are very unprofessional and unreliable. Calling them was a big mistake. I purchased garage doors from them and it has been a big headache and I really regret that I ever did business with them. read more

I called Jason to ask about some needed repairs and potential annual service costs. His attention to detail and rapid response was phenomenal. I so appreciate this company's follow up and communication. The finished product is incredible and I would recommend them highly! Thanks, Jason! read more

Great company. They timely responded to all requests and were accommodating of our schedule. They were on time when arriving to repair our garage door and their prices were very fair. Hopefully we do not need any more work on our garage but if we do we will use them again. read more

I used the "Schedule a Pro" option on their website on a Saturday night for an non-emergent issue with our door in our new house and received an email from Zachary at 8:30am Monday morning. Pete was at our house by 12:45 and fixed the issue we had, plus another one he identified. A+ work by the Hutchins Garage Door team. If I ever need garage door work again I won't hesitate to contact them. read more

My garage door broke while I was home alone with my young children, so I was trapped. Hutchins Garage Door was the first repair company that answered my call after trying a couple others. Mr. Hutchins was so kind and sent over a technician the same day. My garage door was not as I had described, so he didn't have the parts needed with him, but he held open my garage door so I could get my car out, and would come back the very next day to repair it. By that time, my husband had contacted our home warranty company who sent over a tech to fix it under the warranty, so I did not have Hutchins complete the work but felt compelled to leave a review anyway because they were so helpful. Highly recommend. read more

I really appreciate the quick and good service I got from the whole team. Our door broke in the afternoon, and the dispatcher said they would get someone there that day. Jason came quickly to take a look and talk about options. Then Jonathan came to get the door down for overnight. Big sigh of relief. Jason communicated well throughout our interaction and worked hard to keep my scope of the potential project only to what I wanted it to be (e.g., replacing just a panel and not the entire door). Jonathan came out the next day and made quick work of the permanent repair of what was a pretty ugly break. He was personable, friendly, and sensitive to the coronavirus outbreak in addition to his skilled work. Really good experience with Hutchins. read more

These guys were great! They installed a whisper-quiet belt-driven garage door and I couldn't be happier with it!

Absolutely amazing! You have to call Dan and his team if you ever need anything that has to due with your garage doors. He and his team are professional and provide excellent customer service. We will always use Hutchins Garage Doors!! read more

It is without hesitation I recommend this company for your garage door needs. After a little bit of a rocky start, the manager, Dan Grenier stepped in and did an outstanding job of getting the doors installed. He also gave us a recommendation for an electrician to install the outlets for the motors, who was awesome and went out of his way for us. The materials and installation are top notch. The installation team was super, with excellent workmanship. Dan's customer service skills are exemplary, it was a joy to work with him. It is worth your while to check in with Hutchins if you are in the market for new garage doors. read more

Hutchins installed two new garage doors and header mounted springs in my house in 2009. One of the springs broke, so I called inquiring about the lifetime warranty. Apparently they upgraded invoice systems and had an issue finding me in the system. I had my original receipt, which the tech took a picture of and sent it to the office. Well, they ended up replacing the spring under warranty....I just had to pay for labor. That's great customer service in my opinion, and I'll continue to use them and recommend them to others. read more

We could not be more pleased with the service we received. Dan and Jason came over a few times to check things out (our current door was broken) and provide samples of alternative doors. When we finally decided to stick with our existing door, they were both just as responsive to follow up to fix the door for us, and were able to squeeze us in quickly. The fix job is great - not only were they able to install longer rollers and add grease to keep things moving, but they closed some gaps we had on the bottom to prevent rodents from entering, and re-aligned the whole frame. The garage door is working better than it ever has - even better than when we built the house 3 years ago. read more

Great experience working with Hutchins. Would highly recommend them and we could not be more pleased with our new wood garage doors.

Great experience using Hutchins Garage Doors. They were able to get someone out some day to look at our door for us. Great communication, service, work from this company. Would highly recommend. read more

After my 3 year old closed the garage door as I was pulling out of the garage, the door crashed onto the top of my car. It was in pretty bad shape. It wouldn't even close. I called 3 garage door repair places. Hutchins was the only one who answered. The others never even returned my call. Hutchins came out within 30 minutes!!! I was quite impressed. I was sure we would need a new door. But, they were able to fix it for around $300. They didn't try to upsell or convince us to get a new door. It was fixed within 24 hours of my initial call. Affordable, great work ethic, honest people. Highly recommend. read more

very disappointed. called them a week earlier to make an appointment and they gave me a 12 to 4pm scheduled. They called me at 4pm pm to let me know it was going to take two more hours. They called at 7pm. Used someone else. read more

Prompt, professional and courteous service. I'll absolutely be calling on them again next time.

I had a great experience with Hutchins Garage Doors. I was impressed with their staff. They sent someone to my house within hours to check my garage door that looked like someone had broken in. Jason, the tech, was prompt, professional and helped get my garage door back in place for the time being. I really think any other company would have made me take off work to schedule it and would have charged me to get the door back on track. A new door is in our near future and I'll be sure to use Hutchins. It's been a long time since I've had a service that seemed like they wanted to help and not just charge me as much as they could. Highly recommend. read more
