When our spring broke they came out the next day and had it fixed in under an hour for a very reasonable price. They upgraded us to two springs to have less strain on the springs and they came with a lifetime warranty. Said we'd need to go to the original cedar park location, even when we said we drove there b/c of the website listing a showroom. I went to Cedar Park Overhead Door to buy a wooden garage door. Tran was my sales man. He recommended a metal door built to look like a wooden door. I was very skeptical. He showed me the sample at the store. Then he gave me addresses to go buy houses to look at install doors. I decided to go ahead and go with the metal door. I am so glad that I did. It changes the whole look at my house. I did a whole remodel on this new house that I bought and the garage door is the best part of the remodel. I would highly recommend the garage doors. read more

It had been about 7 years since Cedar Park overhead Doors (CPOD) installed our garage door and I felt it was time to get a tune up (door creaking and rollers sounding like the needed lubrication). I was told it would be $79 for the tune up. On Thursday, 8/18/22 Thomas (the tech) arrives on time. He looks at the interior of the garage door takes some pictures and immediately tells me the incorrect spring was put on my door in 2014 and to stop using my garage door opener as it was dangerous. He said the "warranty department" would be in touch with me within 24 hrs or so about a replacement. Of course I heard nothing from the "warranty department" so I had to follow up call CPOD to see what was going on (instead of CPOD calling me). I explained to the person who answered the phone the above information. He said he "didn't know why" but "Thomas" the tech had been "telling everybody-at least 16 people" over the last couple of weeks that they had the "wrong spring" installed and told them not to use their garage door openers to open their garages. This person said to use the garage door opener as it was safe to do so. At that point, I then had to reschedule my original appointment for a $79 tune up since they didn't do anything for me the first time... except waste my time. On Saturday, 8/27/22 another tech came and told me the spring was fine and did the tune up and tightened the spring. I then got presented with a bill for $100, a previously undisclosed extra $20 for vehicle "fuel and maintenance". When I asked about this additional charge the tech proudly informed me that CPOD had just bought a "new fleet of trucks" and that's why the charge was there. I got upset at that for 2 reasons. Firstly they made no effort to recognize my time and my inconvenience that was wasted by their employee "Thomas" who came on the first and left giving me false information (and no tune up), and me having to follow up with CPOD (instead of the other way around). Secondly on next visit being told I was paying an outrageous $20 additional charge to essentially help them pay for their "new fleet" of trucks. I got my bill down to $80 (where it should have been in the first place) after letting the tech know I was very unhappy. This is the problem with many service companies today. They come in, fail to provide the service they were called there for (wasting YOUR time and creating an inconvenience to YOU), never volunteering a discount to recognize their disservice to you the customer.Then they compound it by trying to charge me more than what you were quoted.You schedule an appointment , they screw it up (having wasted your time), both onsite and then me having to make a follow up call to find out nothing was sent to the warranty dept. or anything being done for that matter, then send another tech out who was going to charge me even more money than the original quote.with no thought or consideration on CPOD's part in terms of a discount because they wasted MY time. I gave CPOD 2 stars because the second tech was efficient, knowledgeable, and got the job done. Just another thoughtless company in failing to be proactive to recognize that the customers time is worth money too. TL/DR: Tech shows up for $79 tune up appointment, gives me misinformation, promises follow-up and leaves. No follow-up, no tune-up. I have to follow up to find out nothing being done-and nothing wrong-original employee essentially gone rogue. I was informed "No Charge" for visit. Nice- since they didn't do anything (except waste my time). 2nd visit- tech shows up wants to charge $20 more than originally quoted for "fuel and vehicle maintenance", because they just got "a new fleet of trucks". No discount offered for wasting my time on first visit, additional new and improved $100 charge instead of $79, and no thought whatsoever to offer a price break due to the customer's inconvenience. After discussion with tech-bill came down to $80 (which was original quote). Sad. read more

We just got new garage door openers installed by Cedar Park Overhead Doors. Zen was our installer and he was great. Very professional, very knowledgeable. He helped us get everything working, including walking us through the phone app and how to use it to control the doors when away from home. The openers are great too, very quiet and we now have an outside keypad which is considerably more convenient. Yesterdeday my garage door got stuck halfway and i couldn't move it even on manual. I called kinda late in the day, and was told the technician may be later tonight. After done with other jobs, service tech Jacob arrived. Well let me just say that of all the techs i've had from CPOD, he was the absolute BEST. This man was so focused and detailed, and wanted to do a home checkup and adjusted everything when he finished. It didn't matter how late it was, he was ON IT. Knew everything about everything going on. He should be an instructor or should get a darn raise. Was so very impressed. Next time I need one, I will specifically ask for Jacob. Part I: My garage door was acting out and refused to open all the way. We had used Cedar Park OD in the past and were pleased with their service, so we gave them a call. The technician, Gilly, came out and took one look at that stubborn door and pointed out the broken spring. (How could I have missed that?) Anyway, Gilly got it fixed pronto and we were back in business. He also pointed out that the motor was probably on its last legs (we've lived here for 20+ years, and have never had the motor replaced). Gilly got us scheduled for a follow up visit for the next week. I was very pleased with Gilly's customer service, something that seems to be a thing of the past these days. He was polite, friendly, and efficient. Part II: The next week the second technician, Casey, came out (after normal business hours!) and started work on replacing the motor. Casey worked for over an hour on that thing and got the new motor installed, programmed the remotes, replaced the wall button. He was very polite, explained everything he did, and answered all my questions. Again, customer service seems to be a high priority with Cedar Park OD, and it shows in how their employees interact with the customer. I first contacted CPOD on a recommendation from a friend. They did send a crew (Jay Garcia?) out a few days later and they said that they would email me a quote, which they did. I opted for one of the options (part replacement instead of a new opener) and was told that it might take a month or two to get the part required. I contacted Jay again in May because I had not heard anything and have not heard anything back. I just assumed they were no longer interested in my small project. My impression is that if you're looking for service, instead of just spending money on new equipment, you might want to go somewhere else. read more

I had a broken spring on my garage door, and Thomas with Cedar Park Overhead doors came out to diagnose the problem. He assessed the need for replacing 4 springs he did not have on hand. After going to the office to pick up the hardware, Thomas came back and finished the job, working until 8:15pm. He also fixed the rails, replaced the gliding wheels, and the sensors that were working intermittently at best. The result was excellent, and now the door works like new and is much quieter.
