    Singapore Fried Rice Noodles
    Carlo G.

Mom n Pop Singaporean restaurant with great food and good prices! My favorite dish was the Singaporean Fried Rice Noodles with was savory and meaty. Loved the salty scrambled eggs bits in it. It also comes with chili oil which is a must and you can ask for more upon request. I also got the Singaporean Style Laksa which was good, but I wish it were thicker and more flavorful. Still good though and I liked the fried tofu which soaked up all the flavor and butterfly shrimp in it. The portions are big and good for sharing. Each dish was around $16 each which is such a great price for what you get. Definitely worth checking out!

Always a great meal here!! All dishes are cooked perfectly and on point with flavor, texture and all aspects!!! Their all star special Singaporean Rice Noodle is an absolute must have. Other than this dish, all their other dishes are all also very tasty and on point with flavors and wok-hay. By the way, their HK milk tea, lemon tea, and red bean drinks are all also excellent here!!!

After 30 plus years this place is still here!!!!!!. I remember coming here after high school for a red bean ice with ice cream ;). My go to: I love the Singaporean rice noodle dish. It's one of the best around: rice noodle texture is on point, not oily, seasoned perfectly, great meat to noodle ratio... highly recommend this if you come here. I recently tried a noodle soup for the first time: preserved vegetable and pork. Great flavor!!! How do you get the rice noodle texture so perfectly snappy?? Soup is rich in flavor too. The service is great, small businesses deserve so much more appreciation! The setting has not changed much since the 90s, I feel like the decor and furniture are all the same, bringing back fond memories , it's comforting to know you are still here after so many years!

This OG place used to be my favorite Laksa in town. I havent been there in a while and was a bit dissapointed today. The Laksa soup was a bit watery and it tasted flat. I'm wondering if they change the Chef perhaps? The Fried rice noodles was still the same. It had an excellent flavor. Service was quick and efficient. I hope they'll bring the same to their Laksa.

We had lunch here today with a party of six. It was not busy. We were seating quickly. The restaurant is small. The cuisine is Singapore style , but not too spicy. The place looked clean. The food came out quickly. The person who ordered the Portuguese sauce ox tongue said it lacked flavor and any vegetables with the dish. It was not very tender. The Panang Curry was a bit spicy, but tasted fine. Do order: Spicy Chicken Wings and the Special Chili Filet Fish. The other dishes were good, but not great. Rating: 3 Stars.

A restaurant ive passed by a thousand times , but never went in. Uncertain why, but if it has lasted 20+ years in the SGV, a highly competitive asian foodie environment , theres gotta be a reason. That reason was the Singapore noodle which was recommended by a friend. Otherwise, this joint may have remained off my radar. Over the past few decades, ive eaten Singapore noodle at perhaps 10+ different venues. However, none tasted quite like this. First, the noodles. Texture was fluffy, light, and not over cooked...almost al dente-ish. Then the shrimp, had a slight crunch to it that complimented the noodle. Add a bit of black vinegar, and one has an amazingly balanced and delicious dish. It was so good, we returned the next weekend to order for a party. What were our guests response? Outstanding! Decor & service? Definitely an old school Monterey Park vibe which I really dig, as i like to reminisce lol. Server was very pleasant, dood came out almost instantly. Would recommend!

Stopped by here because I was craving Singapore rice noodles. It's located at the corner of Lincoln and Garvey. The portions are pretty decent, there's a lot more rice noodles to egg, squid, shrimp and octopus but I prefer that. I love noodles lol. I thought there would be bigger pieces of squid and octopus or other vegetables, but there wasn't a lot of toppings, still decent though. The flavor and taste was good. Shanna was sweet and you can Venmo her to pay.

It's has been for over a decade I've occasionally going to Litz. Old classic southern eastern Asian cuisine!!! They are popular for Larka, satays, sautéed beef stews, and the most signature of Singapore rich noodles vermicelli... They have Hams, Eggs, Squids, and especially adding home make Malaysian paste.... And eat with home made chili oil sauce!!! Plus I've a grass jelly ice drink since I was thirsty !! Services was ok alright, and still very old fashion designed environment.... The only thing I had the rice noodles that might taste a little lighter than used to be.... Could be more tasteful...

Right at the opening of downtown Monterey park. Nice small restaurant in the corner. I used to come here all the time when I was a little kid. Very happy that it's still exactly the same. The ladies who work here are super nice and friendly. My favorite dishes to get are Singapore fried rice noodles, baked pork chop rice, and sausage fried macaroni. Also very important! Make sure to ask for their chili oil! It is a game changer! You can thank me later lol

Highly recommend! The restaurant is extremely clean and the staff is very attentive and welcoming. They food comes out pretty quick and is all very tasty. The portion sizes are really big. Seems like lots of take out orders (on Uber I think). Of note they only take credit card if $40+.

Kung pao fish and beef chow fun with gravy

Recently visited here two different Saturday afternoons to dine in for lunch with family and friends. No wait for seating both times. The restaurant seems to specialize in Chinese Singaporean style dishes. Today we had the Singapore noodles, kung pao fish, stir fry vegetables with bean curd sauce, beef chow fun with gravy, and baked Portuguese sauce chicken rice. We were disappointed that the mixed green bean curd sauce vegetable was just stir fried iceburg lettuce. Singapore noodles were good. The kung pao fish was ok but kind of salty. The baked chicken rice had good flavor and the beef chow fun in gravy was also tasty. We ordered lemon iced tea and iced milk tea and later realized they were $5 each. Free refills of the lemon iced tea but not for the milk tea. We won't order drinks here next time. Most cafes around here offer reduced drink prices with lunch entrees. The service was ok. They refilled my iced tea quickly. The dishes took a while to come out after ordering and the restaurant wasn't even that busy.

The soup was amazing great flavor will definitely be back food 10/10 service 10/10 decorations 10/10

Amazing Singapore noodles here have a fantastic "wok energy" grilled noodle flavor. It's got a smoky/perfect full flavor I have never found anywhere else. It's so good they don't even use curry. It's not salty, with a clean flavor. The seafood is fresh and not fishy/overpowering, with the perfect chew/bite, alongside the noodle texture. The ham, seafood, egg all add sweetness, smokiness, flavor. The tentacles and squid have a nice springy texture. The crisp texture from the mung beans adds to it. It's not greasy usually. They also have a fantastic laksa with a rich flavor, coconut milk and curry. You get great milk tea drinks within mins, and your food within 10 mins. It's no frills-- they just serve your food and leave you to enjoy! We'd gotten takeout here before and during the pandemic as well. It never disappoints! One time the noodles were greasy, but over nearly 20 years, it nearly never misses! Some notes: outstanding beef pandang curry is so rich tomato stew based fantastically flavorful My partner came here since he was 8 yrs old when his mom was a waitress here. He was that kid in the corner booth doing homework. As of pre-pandemic, there's low staff turnover, and good food, so their family kept coming long after she stopped working there to be a full time mom. They still recognize her. A reliable legendary mainstay. Make sure to try it!

(Expect 15 - 20 mins) Parking is abundant, since there are few businesses in this plaza. For starters, my friend and I shared the xiao long bao, popcorn chicken, and beef rolls. Our first item, the popcorn chicken, was divine - medium and fried to perfection, couldn't ask for better! The xiao long bao was next on the list, and these featured a more thick but still chewy skin. Unfortunately, two of ours were served "stuck together" which led to them breaking - sad! The last item, the beef rolls, were amazing as well. Not only is it a timeless classic, but the beef wasn't too dry. Between these tasty bites, we also shared a honey lemon green tea. My friend warned me about these mug sizes, and yes... one is probably enough for a table of four to share! This drink was super sweet, and it was definitely in need of dilution to be drinkable. Once your belly is full, though, good luck getting out! The space inside is fairly tight but nonetheless well worth a visit! Easily one of the best popcorn chicken in town!

My crew and I went on a Friday night, and even though it was very busy, we were seated fairly quickly. There were four of us, and here's what we ordered: chicken fried rice, Shanghai-style chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, and juicy pork dumplings. Chicken Fried Rice: It was soft and pillowy with great flavor, though I felt it could have used a bit more color. It looked a little pale, but it was still delicious. Shanghai-Style Chow Mein: This was perfect. The flavor was spot on, the sauce was well-balanced, and the noodles had the ideal texture. The ratio of noodles, vegetables, and meat was just right. Sweet and Sour Chicken: This was the highlight for me. My only regret is not ordering more to take home. The chicken was crispy without being overdone, and it was coated in that delicious sweet and sour sauce. Juicy Pork Dumplings: We were at a dumpling house, so we had to order dumplings. These did not disappoint. They were very flavorful, and the broth inside was rich and satisfying. We originally planned to order more dishes, but the portions were generous, and we ended up with just the right amount to leave satisfied. Overall, this place lives up to the hype. I can't wait to come back and try more.

Baked Sole over Rice (Cream Sauce): This is one of my guilty pleasures. I think they hit par when it comes to this. You get a decent amount of fish, the cream sauce doesn't overpower the overall vibe of the dish, and the cheese is just the right amount. I think it'll fill up the average person. Seafood Tofu Hotpot (comes with white rice): Again, another dish that's difficult to improve outside of using better ingredients. They did enough to make it good while keeping it at a fair price point. It's a good mix of seafood, tofu, and vegetables, and the sauce was the right blend. Curry Beef Brisket Flank (comes with white rice): The wildcard of the restaurant. People who love curry would say that it's not spicy enough, and people who just enjoy the curry flavor without the heat will just be able to tolerate the heat level. The gamble comes from the meat to tendon ratio, which I feel isn't standardized. If you enjoy both, then it shouldn't matter. But as a beef enjoyer who is not that big on tendons, it's a gamble. Signature Fish Fillet (comes with white rice): It's the classic sweet and salty blend in most Chinese restaurants that I find addicting. This place has a more peppery feel to it. It's gonna be hard to eat a lot of it, but those bites before you're sick and tired of the flavor bomb will be worth it. French Style Diced Beef Tenderloin (comes with white rice): I'm not gonna lie. I've had this in far too many Chinese restaurants. I have a hard time differentiating between all of them. What I'll tell you is that the beef is on the peppery end, but it's super soft. If you love slightly undercooked onions and mushrooms, you're in luck. Egg Tofu with Enoki Mushrooms (comes with white rice): Another Chinese restaurant classic that I find impossible to differentiate, but never have I ever been disappointed when ordering this. I will tell you that this is one of the perfect dishes to order if you're dining with vegetarians. Crispy Salt & Pepper Fish Fillet: They weren't lying when they said salt & pepper. It's a very salty piece of fried fish, and the peppers they tossed in there have a decent amount of heat. I'd stay away from this. Crispy Shrimp Spring Rolls: It's the appetizer for the kids (or adults who are being introduced to Chinese food). I'd only get this if someone really wants it or wants to try it. Salted Egg Shrimp: Normally, salted egg _______ is a luxurious delicacy. It's heavily sinful, but also very good. Unfortunately, this place's version is missing something. It's almost like they forgot an ingredient when mixing the sauce, so the overall flavor profile isn't popping out. It's a shame, I was expecting more. Shrimp Fried Rice: Stock standard. It's good, the shrimp pieces are sizable, and it's a good option for people who won't want white rice (which is included in many of the dishes) Hainanese Chicken w/ Rice: Many restaurants get this wrong, mainly just by giving boiled chicken and white rice, then just giving the correct sauces. This place doesn't do that. They get the chicken right, they get the rice right, and they at least got the ginger and scallion sauce, which was good. Overall, a good dish. Hong Kong Egg Waffle: This is supposed to be a dessert, but they served it along with the other food. By the time we got to this, it was already cold. The taste was decent though. Service: Classic Chinese restaurant with better standards. You order, and they give you what you asked for. Don't expect much, and they won't disappoint. Ambiance: It's giving Hong Kong food court x street side dining kind of vibe. I think people who've been to Hong Kong will understand and appreciate the vibe, while those who haven't will just have to take my word for it.
