We had dinner here on a Thursday evening, with the pro blues jam happening on stage. The place was packed when we arrived around 7:45pm, but luckily we found a couple open counter seats near the bar in the back (these were the only 2 seats available). The musicians, playing a variety of instruments, put on some great entertainment, performing songs like Chain of Fools for an older crowd who seemed to just be having a good time in the casual and carefree atmosphere. A welcoming setting with lovely decor on the walls (mainly sports-themed) and street lampposts decorating the stage. We got the brisket salad, regular combo (quarter chicken and 2 ribs), with mac n cheese and corn bread for the sides. The meats were so tender, falling off the bone, and very tasty, particularly the chicken and pork ribs. They had a modest amount of bbq sauce on them, but it didn't really need more, as the juices from the meat along with the fat added so much flavor. And these were large pieces with lots of meat on them, and not too heavy on the fat... some of the best bbq I've had (even without putting extra sauce on them, though they have condiments available to help yourself to if needed, including both sweet and spicy bbq sauce). The salad was also a large size and stacked with fresh and delicious ingredients. The garlic bread and corn bread were yummy too and not overly filling, even if the carbs added up and were too much to finish. The mac n cheese was a bit dry, but with all the other carb-heavy sides, it wasn't a big deal. Already so much good stuff to fill us up! There was no line to order at the counter in the back, and service was more than sufficient, bringing our food to the table without too long of a wait (around 15 minutes or so). We enjoyed our time here, the quality of the bbq being the most memorable part. Based on our recent experience, I'd highly recommend this spot. read more

I used to go to Little Lou's quite a bit at 2455 S Winchester Blvd, Campbell, CA 95008 They used to be open for lunch and dinner and had really great hours but once Covid hit, everything changed. Now their hours are a little bit on the unusual side. They no longer offer lunches and are open Wed-Sat from 4:00 to 9:00/10:00 PM, however, one of the things that is available is live entertainment every night. This place is not really good for younger family members, as it is primarily a bar and offers excellent dinners such as ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, and other delights. They even offer clam chowder and Pho Soup. During my visit I tried their pork ribs and let me tell you they were fantastic. They were a fall off the bone rib that had been slow cooking for hours. They're coleslaw is absolutely homemade and the corn on the cob was amazing. Even the garlic bread was great. They have a good selection of desserts and overall the restaurant is very clean and well maintained. This is a self service restaurant but the cashier's and bartenders are very nice and try hard to serve customers when needed. I found everything to be competitively priced. I really like Little Lou's and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them! read more

I really wanted to give more stars but it just isn't worth it. I've been here a few times for the Tuesday Trivia (super fun!!) and ordered different menu items. What works: -- their ranch is really good! -- the order of fries is sizeable -- they have a lot of vegetarian options -- the salad is pretty fresh -- most of the sides are good (fries, fried pickles, chicken wings, etc) -- staff is friendly -- Tuesday trivia is a lot of fun, and the host, Jeff, clearly works hard to make it enjoyable What doesn't work: -- the prices are way too high. I paid $7 for a side salad (lettuce, tomato, onion, and dressing) and it's $7 for boxed Mac n cheese. If the food isn't going to be really good, then it should be a large portion. And if it can't be really good or a large portion, the price should reflect that. -- the quality of the food is okay. I haven't tried most of what's on the menu but my friends say that everything is really average and all the food I've tried is very average. I dinged the restaurant one star only because the food was not as good as last time. I got the brisket, juicy, and it was kind of tough and there were some hard pieces of meat. I pretty much left half my meal. This particular event was a birthday celebration for a friend and I had bought her dinner. Our main reason for attending this establishment was to see the band Engine Room which I am a huge fan of. Just a bunch of talented guys who have a large repertoire of music. Especially songs of the 70s, which I never hear played by other bands very talented musicians. They have a song that I've never heard another band perform which is by Grand Funk Railroad. They did not disappoint and played the song. If you ever get a chance to see this group, they are great. They pretty much play all dance music. May 7, 2025 - stopped in for dinner and some live music. The music was so loud that conversation was impossible (but no big deal as that's a chance one takes with live music ). Great beer selection and decent wines too (not a "full bar"), but we knew that ahead of time (thanks YELP). And the gal behind the bar was very nice. Now for why it's a 2. The ribs were very dry. They came coated with some BBQ sauce (we ended up getting several more that came in to go containers). The cheeseburger was ordered with no onions and yet onions came with the sides (lettuce & tomato) so it was taken back to the counter so that those sides could be removed and replaced with new sides of just lettuce and tomato. Sat back down and lifted the lid of the bun to add mayonnaise only to discover that there was onion mixed in with melted cheese. The receipt even showed that it was ordered with no onion... Time for a re-fire. So much for having dinner together. The sliced brisket had a burnt taste and was 40+% fat (nasty). On the bright side, the couple of opossums that come through the backyard nightly will thoroughly enjoy the scraps!! Never again!!! read more

This is a nice local restaurant located in the strip mall with the movie theaters and the Dollar Tree. You order at the counter and food is brought to you. They offer Vietnamese food as well as American BBQ options. We came in for dinner, and the printed menus did not match the menu on the board behind the register area, so I recommended you look at a printed menu. I ordered the tri tip meal with coleslaw and beans. My husband had a baby-back ribs meal with corn on the cob and cornbread. Our meals came with a piece of garlic bread, which was okay, not very flavorful. My tri tip was fine, and it came with an au jus. I asked for BBQ sauce, and their sauce is not very sweet, unfortunately for me. The beans were fine. My husband enjoyed his meal. They have live music on some evenings. We have been here several times to eat and enjoy good music. There definitely is a following here as it is always crowded with the same customers. Recently, they decided to add a cover $5/pp. We would be fine with that but the food was expensive for what it was ($15/16 burger - fries extra). Then there was the price tag on mediocre drinks and wines. Line to order food was long as they didn't have enough people working the counter. We felt like we were being gouged. I heard the reason for the cover was because some people come for the band but don't buy anything. I would suggest the cover offer a coupon to go toward the meal. That way people who come for dinner aren't over paying for a meal and those who come just for the music are paying their share for the band. As it is, we will probably not return because of the expense. read more

Little Lou's has live bands playing on Saturday nights, so I came here last night on the recommendation of a friend. Identity Problem was playing a mix of 80's / 90's music. Definitely a lively crowd! I was one of the youngest people in the room (crowd was much older - mostly 50's-60's). I still had a good time dancing and drinking with my friend though! Beers are reasonably priced (around $7-$9 depending on type). I ate before I came so did not order any food. The location is in the middle of a strip mall - a bit random - but that means parking was easy. would return if there was another band playing. I've been so many times through the years & finally giving it a review. It's our go-to nowadays for solid cover bands. There's a big dance floor (at least compared to other places). And a bar area, as well a general seating area. (It's a lot bigger from seeing it from outside.) It's nothing fancy, reminds you of the old Barbecue places with picnic tables but it works just fine! There is a pretty decent wine list, Tessoras LG Pinot on there ($17) but they give you a huge pour. I like the Estacia Pinot ($14 or $15) which isn't bad at all! Now the food, I'd stick to the burgers. My veggie burger was 11.95, and I added half order of onion rings 4.48, was very good. They serve it on a big bun with the condiments on the side. I was ravenous and devoured the whole thing. My friend always gets the Turkey burger, she likes that a lot. Their barbecue burger is only $8.95 (bummer is no longer do they come with fries ). They also make their own pecan pie which I still need to try. Overall, so very thankful for this business. It's been my happy place lately. My husband and I drove all the way from Pleasant Hill to listen to a band that we have heard before at other venues and we love, love them! They are fabulous! Vickie and the Magic Men! While the band playing their behinds off and Vickie singing those awesome vocals, they had people dancing, even in this heat! Unfortunately Little Lou's BBQ FAILED hugely! This is what I experienced this evening and I hope by reading this, that no one ever has to endure this type of service here!!!! 1. They only "serve" beer, wine and sparkling wine, and it's cash only. Not bad, however I'll explain. 2. Very slow service and the place was packed , tables were full, all 2 and 4 and 6 tops. 3. They had only 2 very slow and young "bartenders" whom clearly have not had any training. 4. Served very warm red wine and sparkling wine. 5. They served our order of, a red wine for my husband and I had a sparkling wine split. While waiting for our drinks , there were people there we knew that were coming up to us exchanging hello's, hugs filled with joy to see each other. As we made our way to a 2 top table that had just become available, in the front so we could get a great view of this amazing band! I looked at my husband's wine glass just as we were about to "Cheer" each other, his wine glass had red lipstick on one side and pink on the other! I shrieked in horror, took the glass out of my husband's hand and walked up to the bar , stood there for a few minutes while she and the other bartender were having a problem with the pourspout for the wine , then she noticed me and asked what do I need! I said , i'd like to have another wine in a nice clean buffed wine glass. Like it is supposed to be served.! I have years of experience in serving food and cocktails. I pointed out the dirty glass which she served me, I said , look at this glass. What do you see? She looked at me and just said oh ! I even made a joke stating " These lipstick are not even my husband's colors" she didn't acknowledge at all. I explained to her in detail how she should do her job as a " bartender" then she just said oh ( again) while rolling her eyNo acknowledgement of what I said, nothing except OH.! She grabbed another wine glass, poured the wine and hand it to me and I said you didn't even look at the glass to see if there was any lipstick on it I asked if I could please have another glass of wine for my husband with nobody's lipstick on it. These glasses need to be cleaned and polished and you need to hold them up to a light before you put anything into these glasses whether it's a wine glass sparkling wine glass or even a pint for beer . I proceeded to tell her how she should do this. She ignored me rolled her eyes at me and I need to wash their wine glasses before they pour your choice of WARM red wine. Visited Little Lou's BBQ on Saturday evening. We had a blast. 5 stars for the live band - Chrome Deluxe- they were simply fantastic, amazing electric blues, what a show. 5 stars for the packed house who danced the entires show, what a joy. The combination of these two made for a fantastic evening enjoying great music with an enthusiastic crowd. Beers were great as was the BBQ. Good service and food. I suspect that the restaurant did not expect full hose as they ran out of the great brisket and had to substitute one of our orders. No big deal, we had an amazing time. Looking forward to seeing Chrome Deluxe and getting on Little Lou's BBQ's mailing list of live shows. Ordered the vermicelli with chickens & veggies. Thought it would be something fairly easy for the kitchen to get right. After 45 mins it arrived with 2 containers of sauces. Instead of just pouring the sauces on, I decided to taste them. Good thing I did bc the sauces were fire hot and I medically, CANNOT do ANYTHING hot. But after getting oil & vinegar and digging down further into the bowl, I find that there are NO VERMICELLI NOODLES in my bowl! They have been replaced with fucking sprouts! SPROUTS, not VERMICELLI! Wtf, Lou! Is your staff not capable of communicating "WE'RE OUT OF NOODLES?!?" This place is not capable of putting out decent food and the drinks are way too expensive! Food was awesome. I had the double cheeseburger because when you come to these joints and order a hamburger, the meat isn't really that thick. This place you don't have that problem My double cheeseburger was a size of a softball, the patties isn't something that comes out of the freezer. These are hand formed half a pound of hamburger. It was thick and juicy. I just took a picture of the hamburger to show you how thick it is. For dessert I had peach cobbler. I recommend you try that with the scoop of ice cream. The lady there that took care of us was named Lynn. She's the one who makes the burgers the size that they are. She was really great. I've have included a few pictures of the place. They have a live band I think every night, the lady that was singing tonight, she was walking around the floor getting patrons to sing. It was pretty fun to watch my wife and her girlfriends sing. We have order Lou's a few times, BBQ is OK, portions are good. It's been awhile so we decided to get some to-go. When it was delivered at first I was like "oh burnt ends"... but I ordered brisket??? The brisket was pretty much black and totally dry. The only edible parts were the fattier portions and even that was just off. The sides I had were beans, nothing special and potato salad when was almost a grainy mashed type potato with a few chunks of potato. The best way to describe the potato's were "mealy", gross!!! The garlic bread was decent. My girl got the Tri-Tip, here was overcooked as well. Worst brisket I have ever had, total stomach ache within 30 mins. We went into this knowing it was just OK, but even with the expectation it was a total fail. I only checked the reviews after I wrote mine, seems it is a trend here! read more

Went for the first time to this place. The food was Dee Lish!Beef pork baby backs Chicken all finger licken good. The salad I had was so fresh. Great sauces too. Went to Little Lou's for dinner and to listen to some live music. The band was really good, the rest not so much. I had the brisket (comes with garlic bread and 2 sides, and my partner had the baby back ribs (comes with the same). The price was not expensive, but none of it was good. Some of the brisket was ok and some was incredibly dry. I got corn bread as one of my sides and returned it. I don't know what they did to that poor thing but I was unable to break off a piece or cut through it. The corn on the cob was pretty tasteless and really, really cooked. I couldn't tell if the garlic bread had ever encountered garlic. The baby back ribs were meh. The flavor was from the very sweet bbq sauce and the meat was pretty dry. Even the iced tea was bad. It had that 'skunky' taste you get when the container hadn't been cleaned enough and it's been in there too long. Ick. My partner said the coleslaw was ok and we'd both pass on the mashed potatoes. It's a sub-mediocre place and there's every reason to never go back. They were severely understaffed so everything took a long time to show up and there mostly wasn't anyone behind the bar to even get a drink from. Just don't bother. read more

I am not rating this business on their food although I see that many people enjoy it not only for dining but for takeout and DoorDash service. I happen to be a vegetarian so there are just a few items that I can order but the Boca burger is quite good and their side salad has the best red onions sliced thin on top I think I've ever had. The atmosphere is very friendly here and the days that they are open have really good music varying from blues to rock 'n' roll. They were very accommodating during Covid and kept a tent with seating outside the restaurant so that everyone could continue to enjoy the music and dining. You will never meet a better staff member than Gary. He works tirelessly making sure the customers have their food served hot or cold as the case may be and surprises me on how many customers he can take care of in a very short time. Even though you place your order at the counter you can be sure that the service at your table will not be lacking. If I had any recommendations for this restaurant it would be for the patrons to be more generous with the tips I feel that the service and friendliness make up for any shortcomings in the simplicity of the restaurant. read more

This BBQ is 5-star as is the service! It is a "look-at-the menu", order-at -the-counter" place but it us all quick and easy and the the order is brought to the table. Saturday night band was great. Lots dancing and fun. Our group ordered a huge platter of ribs, brisket and chicken. The pork ribs were delicious and tender. The beef ribs were also delicious. Lots of meat on them. I like the chicken too. The table next to us ordered the Pho and spring rolls. Oms the spring rolls are huge and I've had them many times. Excellent. Pho is really good and filling too. The staff and the kitchen staff were hustling and did an amazing job. My compliments to the kitchen crew and girls upfront. As a homeowner in Campbell for over 30 years I am well aware of the good businesses and the bad ones! And a Little Lou's is definitely one of the good businesses! If you want really good fall off the bone barbecue ribs this is the place to satisfy your barbecue cravings!! This joint has been a main staple in my town for decades!! The live bands are good, most of the time but my man go to are the barbecue pork ribs and any of the sides they serve. Definitely try the cornbread, greens, mouth watering old school beans And if you are not into pork ribs on the bone like me then you can't go wrong with the pulled pork sandwiches! Off the hook yummy!! Once you've eaten at Little Lou's barbecue here in Campbell, California you will be forever hooked on their menu of deliciousness!! Not to mention a truly laid-back and chill atmosphere with a staff who truly take pride in their work and will make you feel right at home!
