Had dinner here with friends the other night. The burger was good. The music was waaaaaay too loud. We made the mistake of dining in because we were tired after work and really wanted to eat. We couldn't even hear each other at our table. I thought this was a restaurant, not a night club. This is how loud the music was. While the burgers are small, they're thick! All of the flavor comes from the ketchup they use (I may have to go find a bottle or just try adding some cayenne to the stuff I have at home). I also loved the fact that they were dripping in grease. Ever good burger should have grease and fat pouring out of the bottom of your bun. If it doesn't, you know you're in for a dry, tough, meal. I don't know what the big to-do was about their fries, they didn't seem special, but since they acted as a way to get the ketchup into my belly I was ok with that. This place just opened up officially, after having what appeared to be a fully-decorated location for quite a bit now. It's a branch off of the original Portland restaurant, which specializes in simple, to-the-point, but high quality burgers. The menu is quite simple, the extreme opposite of a menu like that of Five Guys, where options abound. But this isn't a dig against Little Big Burger - what they do, they do well. You get a choice of cheeseburger (with Cheddar, Swiss, Bleu, or Chevre), plain hamburger, veggie burger, white truffle fries (oh yes, oh yes), and floats to drink. You can add bacon for 50 cents, if you'd like, but other than that and the cheese options there isn't much fiddling you can do, or should even WANT to do. I stopped in just about an hour ago, and decided to try the Chevre Burger with an order of the white truffle fries. I got it to go, since I had some studying to do tonight, and the service was quite fast (especially compared to the nearby Wendy's, which may or may not have your food prepared before you graduate. No guarantees). I noticed a man who appeared to be the head chef coming out to sit with some of the customers, introduce himself, ask their opinions of the food, etc., and that already endears me to this place. Anytime a restaurant actively seeks customer feedback, you know they're the real deal, and you can rest assured that their quality won't be sliding any time soon. Now, onto the food: fantastic. Simple, but utterly satisfying. To make an obvious comparison to In N Out and Five Guys, Little Big Burger specializes in the increasingly popular "fast casual" style of food. In essence, they take the staples of fast food, but make them taste as good to you now as McDonald's did when you were a little kid and a burger and fries meant the world. They bring the food to another level, but don't let it forget its roots or its core purpose - to be a damn good burger and fries meal, just grown-up a bit. And it works - the Chevre Burger was delicious, and excellently balanced - the blend of the various veggies, the fresh beef, the brioche bun, and the just-enough-to-be-there but not-enough-to-drown-everything-else out combo of the Chevre and the (delicately applied) Camden's Catsup (which is exclusive to Little Big Burger, as far as I can tell) came together spectacularly. The biggest drawback to an otherwise quality burger is when the elements that compose it are out of alignment - and Little Big Burger remembers that, and knows that restraint is the name of the game. Oh, and the white truffle fries were absolutely ****in fantastic. All in all, a very nice place. I'll definitely be back, and I think the Bleu Cheese burger is next on my hit-list. read more

Asked for it to be cooked more as I had not even opened it, but the other 4 people had red meat the guy said sure and throws it away the cook walks up and said I only have 2 burgers left so I will just refund you your money. The Cascade all-natural beef is excellent, and the fries too. Awfully small burgers though. Unfortunately, I watched the all-male staff prepare my meal from start to finish, and exactly 4 different guys touched my burger without wearing gloves. Every time something fell off the bun while it sat there waiting for the beef to finish cooking, a different guy would come along and cusp it with his hand to form it back together. Okay FINALLY found it. The food was food, I did like that they had blue cheese never had that before on a hamburger. It was tiny it took me 4 bits to finish it. The taste was okay it tasted like a hamburger with blue cheese. Now the fries: they were okay but had a wierd aftertaste like the oil had gone bad or something. The location: IT"S SMALL AND REALLY LOUD!! I couldn't hear the music over the talking and my friend had to constantly sayd "what?" The ONE main thing that brought the rating down from a 2 1/2 stars to 1 is: THEY DIDN'T WEAR GLOVES! They were helping people then washing hands and going back to cooking but with out gloves!! iiiccccckkkkkkk........ I almost got sick when I saw the cook grab my blue chesse with his bare hands. Okay, So far this is the best burger joint in town. The burgers look little on the out side but they are really filling! Get there delicious truffle oil fries (they are the best also)! There menu very basic so not very hard to pick what you want (I don't know if your like me but I hate picking out food I want, it is tough!). No matter what you pick on the menu you won't be disappointed! Great costumer service! Try there lovely fancy fry sauce ( not so fancy, quite messy actually)! Or try the catsup! The cheeseburgers are delicious and so are the burgers and veggie burgers! The ice cream floats, and Everything else on the menu because there you will never find something you won't like (well i didn't anyways) ! I like the fries and the burgers, I wish they had a larger burger option since I need 2 to be full. I think its a bit overpriced but the burgers are more gourmet than 5 guys. 5 guys in my opinion needs to change there buns and season the meat. At LBB the ketchup is awesome it is spicy and they sell it for $3 a bottle, it's similar to Portland Ketchup Company and is soon going to be sold in whole foods market. The fry sauce is good also. Okay, just have to add...my 18 year old ate at LBB tonight (12/13/13) for the first time and he loved it...in fact, he said I was right! (a big deal for him to admit, lol), that Little Big Burger IS better than 5-Guy's, and he used to rave about how great 5-Guy's was. Tonight at LBB he had 2 burgers;1 with cheddar and 1 with chèvre, fries, and a rootbeer float. He said he was full after the first burger and couldn't finish the 2nd nor his fries...the kid has a big appetite, so yes, the smaller than typical burger size at LBB is enough to sate even him, and delicious enough to impress one of the pickiest hamburger eaters I know! :) read more

At first, I was turned off by what appeared to be a tiny burger, I'll be honest. Then i ate it. Man, it was delicious. It also wasn't as small as it appeared. And when it was gone? I daresay I was quite satisfied. The fries are killer as well. I've been back several times and have been equally satisfied. Perhaps there is something to this portion size business? The one complaint I had was that the music is so usually loud in the place that I can't see my cell phone while I am waiting. I'm a native Californian, and people in Oregon told me to try Little Big Burger, which some have sworn is better than In-N-Out. In comparison to In-N-Out, Little Big Burger is a HUGE disappointment. The prices are unrealistically high for a burger chain, and the veggie burger had a very unpleasant taste. It looked like a small hockey puck, and it was so dry and shriveled up that it probably was as dense as a hockey puck. The truffle fries which everyone raves about were so-so. I love foods enhanced by truffle (especially truffle mac and cheese!), but I could hardly taste the truffle on these fries. They just tasted oily. Anyone who thinks that Little Big Burger is on par with In-N-Out clearly has a different definition than I do of what is edible and appetizing. I would rather drive a couple hours to Medford and go to In-N-Out there, than go to Little Big Burger (which is in walking distance for me, by the way). I am giving Little Big Burger two stars instead of one because I respect their decision to offer veggie burgers for customers like myself who don't eat beef. However, anyone who's had a Grilled Cheese from In-N-Out will know that one can enjoy a "burger" without the patty and be just as satisfied. read more

I went to little big burger last night with my friends and ordered the veggie burger. It is marketed in a way that would make you assume it's vegan due to the words vegan being used on the menu. However, after getting sick from eating it I researched and found out the bun contains dairy, which I am allergic to. They do have the option to lettuce wrap it, but do not warn you it's not vegan when you order it, even when I asked to make sure it was fully vegan. read more

First and foremost I need to comment on the customer service. Exceptional. The staff is extremely nice and well informed of their menu. One staff member that stands out most is the short haired brunette working the register, she's very understanding and professional and helped me from start to finish with the ordering process. I ordered the chev burger with bacon and it was phenomenal! Cooked to perfection, if you have a mature palette you'll appreciate the quality of the meat and their preparation. The one thing enjoyable about Little Big Burger is the consistency of their fries. They never get soggy and the flavor is just right. Although one burger may not fill you up, these fries will. This was the first live for my family in Eugene. If you want simple, quality and flavour then This is the place for you. The burgers are reasonably priced and totally delicious. Truffle fries like it's 1995 again. Beers on hand and the most eat and get out decor this side of Hilyard make it hospitable enough, but quirky. The staff are polite and seem to care about what they're selling. I say skip the McDonald's and come here where its local so the money stays home in our community, the food quality can't be beat for faster food and a menu so simple you can memorize it without trying. read more

Poor layout. The door was really hard to open. The bathroom did not indicate if it was locked or not from the inside. Bathroom is a long closet with the toilet on the far end. I got to sit there and stare at the faraway door fearing that it would open. Could not locate the garbage even though compost and recycling were labeled very clearly. I have allergies and wanted to through away used tissues and did not think compost or recycling would be appropriate. My blue cheeseburger cost 425 and was tiny.
