Poor layout. The door was really hard to open. The bathroom did not indicate if it was locked or not from the inside. Bathroom is a long closet with the toilet on the far end. I got to sit there and stare at the faraway door fearing that it would open. Could not locate the garbage even though compost and recycling were labeled very clearly. I have allergies and wanted to through away used tissues and did not think compost or recycling would be appropriate. My blue cheeseburger cost 425 and was tiny. It also had "Ketsup" put on it without them telling me which ruined it. read more

Simple, clean, and perfect execution! Both my hamburger (with blue cheese) and my wife's hamburger with no cheese were perfectly prepared, as promised. Our french fries were tasty and crisp. The single employee (sorry I forgot to get your name) was attentive, quick and friendly. I ate there on January 28, 2013. He should be given a gold star for quality and service! Thanks! I am a fan of dining at all levels - from creative chefs to simple well executed meals. My hot button is the use of authentic ingredients prepare with attention to detail. This is the most difficult when it comes to inexpensive restaurants where cutting corners on quality is tempting in order to keep prices down. LBB uses only top quality ingredients from the bun to high quality meat to ketchup! I will be back every time I crave a good hamburger and don't want to prep for myself. One big recommendation - you need to open up another restaurant on Willamette so that I can eat your hamburger more often! Your current location is great for UO students, staff and visitors but is out of the way for those in the south part of town. LBB you have created a great product. Please don't change! Very good burger, unfortunately it lives up to its name and isn't very big. Almost to small to be filling especially for the price. Taste wise it is excellent though. The fries here are possibly some of the best fries I've eaten. They use a truffle oil for frying them which gives it a unique taste unlike any other fries you can get around here. Don't get me wrong, the burgers were tasty and I am all about local products, but THE SIZE! I could probably eat three of these little guys and still be hungry and at that price, I don't even think I could afford three on my college budget. Best part, THE FRIES! Loved them! I love their burgers and the counter service is cheerful and competent however their physical space is often messy. Free newspapers like the Emerald and the Weekly are thrown about, the single use bathroom is always gross and the floor isn't clean and the condiment bottles are always sticky and the lack of hair nets caps or gloves gives a gross impression. The price is right it is fast and tasty. They just need to clean themselves and their place more often. As a season vegetarian i was excited to try their veggie burger. i have to say it was bone dry and cold and not to mention the wait was long. When i asked to buy the fires, the clerk gave me a weird look like i was bothering him. When the fries were done cooking he came over and threw it on my table without a word. Your truffle fries are incredible, but your "artisan vegan burger" comes on a brioche bun that has milk in it!! This is incredibly misleading. I am so glad that I read the ingredients online before I ate this and got sick- vegans avoid milk for ethical reasons, but many have developed intolerances to it and could become incredibly ill from consuming it. I would love to see you make your vegan burger ACTUALLY vegan- this place is right by campus and my apartment, and my friends and I would eat here all the time if you had options that all of us could eat. read more

Had to give them one star for the horrible wording of their "veggie burger", which actually is not vegan. While the patty is free of animal products, the bun has milk in it, which makes the name of the burger incredibly misleading for people trying to avoid milk products. Maybe it's the pub-can of Young's Double Chocolate Stout talking, but they're the ones who served it. This is some tasty, and properly priced stuff - a combo that is hard to find in Eugene. (It probably helps that they're Portland based, so they're on Portland food prices, which tend to be significantly lower than Eugene prices.) They're quick, clean, have high quality food, and while the menu is succinct, they're not a-holes about substitutions. They're pretty much downright awesome about them in fact. For instance, I'm super-unfortunately unable to digest mushrooms. It's super unfortunate for me, and super-unfortunate for anyone I'm hanging out with if I accidentally do so. So when I noticed that their french fries are listed as being tossed in white truffle oil while I was ordering my fries, I quickly asked, "oh, can you make those without the truffle oil?" and the cashier replied with a quick and pleasant, "of course!" Now, a lot of places will say that, but then won't totally follow through. These guys though, served my fries up in an entirely separate bag, away from my husband's truffled-befouled (j/k) version. They were quite tasty and I have not suffered any mushroom-related symptoms. My husband says the truffle version is subtly more "earthy." We just got one burger each this time (plus the beer and a float and fries), and my husband noted that next time he would probably get 2 burgers. But even 2-3 burgers per person would be significantly cheaper (and higher-quality) than eating at The Humble Beagle, Cornucopia (which we like), or even Dickie Jo's. The burgers are tiny but pack a punch due to their overall goodness. However, be prepared: it's a fast food place designed to get you in and out of there ASAP. Harsh straight lines on the walls, more than slightly uncomfortable chairs, music that's so loud you can't even hear the cashier when she repeats your order or asks you questions about it, the colors, everything. With all the hype that were posted here, I'd figured that I'd give it a try at least once. So I did. When I opened the brown bag, we got a burger that was the size of my fist. I couldn't believe how small it was just for the price of $4.25. I told them I wasn't expecting that and they replied it was a gourmet burger. Great prices, delicious, quality food. The burger is small, but paired with a good-sized portion of fries, (truffle fries, delish) it's a full lunch that won't overstuff you. I was hangry and hit up LBB near the UofO campus during the OSAA state track and field championships. The music was mani and loud, but there were many young athletes in there, seemingly very happy with their meals. I ordered the cheeseburger, truffle fries and a coke. The fries were pretty dank, but the burger was bright pink on the inside. Not being a fan of e. Coli, I returned to the counter to calmly show the staff the undercooked burger. As I was waiting, I noticed the fine print at the bottom of the menu that states "All of our burgers are cooked traditional medium, unless requested otherwise. " So when it was my turn, I asked if raw on the inside is what they call "traditional medium" and she said my burger was cooked to the same doneness that they cook all of their burgers! The staff was pleasant about it and offered me a well-done burger and I accepted. But how odd and risky to serve undercooked burgers as a policy! I love a rare steak, but that's one cow. Hamburger can contain meat from many, many cows and constitutes a real food poisoning risk when not cooked to medium well or well. Eat at your own risk, or order well-done for a much better burger! read more

Amazing burgers, fries, fry sauce, and service! I'm 12 weeks preggo and didn't read the part of their giant menu that explains that the beef they use is so high quality that it's their practice for best flavor to cook the burgers to medium. When I was almost half way through my burger (it tasted so good, I was devouring without looking), I realized the pinkness in the middle. When I voiced my concern to the chef, he promptly and congenially made me a new, well-done burger. He even went so far as to offer my husband and I root beer floats at no charge. Well after forgetting to do some recent reviews about places in Montreal (nice sushi / Japanese place where they bring all you can eat to your table - have the card at home , wish I could remember the name) and Oklahoma and really not eating much for a while I saw this place close to the hotel last night. I had no problem with parking, but it was a weeknight after 6. There were only a few people inside, most waiting for to go orders. I was greeted right away and placed my order to go of a cheddar burger and fries. While I waited I perused the local merchant type paper with local business listings and events. I didn't notice any sort of unsanitary conditions behind the counter and the service was pretty fast and friendly. I grabbed a container of the house ketchup and a fry sauce. They're in the small cups with a lid, so I doubt prepackaged too far ahead of time. The burger was pretty good, but certainly not the best I've had. It looked pretty small but enough for me. It was cooked just right for me with a nice char on the outside. The bun was very good as well. I wish I could love these fries as they were the perfect size and crispiness, but the truffle oil (or whatever it is) just did not work for me. I always think garlic fries sound good but two fries in and I remember why I shouldn't order them. The ketchup had kind of a weird flavor. I actually had more of the fry sauce, which I rarely like. I'm going 3 stars because I do think this will appeal to a select group, but I can guarantee I won't be back. read more

The cheese burgers are small, they almost qualify for "Sliders". But the Cheeseburgers are very flavorful. The Truffle fries are no joke! The flavor the Truffle oil adds to the lightly crisp potato skins are habit forming. read more

I grew up in Southern California and definitely feel the lack of In-N-Out burger and was excited that Little Big Burger might be able to take care of my occasional burger jones. The burgers themselves are OK, at best a 3 star rating. What takes this rating down for me is the horrible service. What I see are bored, arrogant college kids and who kinda like their jobs, but display apathy at best which sometimes borders on belligerence. We went there a couple of times and here is what has kept me from going back and recommending it to my friends. We arrived during a slow time (no one in front of us and no orders on the grill) and sure the wait time was longer than expected, but I don't mind a wait if the food is worth waiting for. Our order was brought out to our table (it was an order to-go) in a bag. The counter person handed it to me mid-air without looking at me and dropped it onto the floor which caused some burgers to spill out. They begrudgingly offered to replace one of them. When we arrived home, the ketchup containers were melted as if they were placed too close to the grill. The burgers are mediocre at best, although they claim to use fancy ingredients and charge appropriately. I can get a better burger at McMenamin's. I can't understand or excuse the lack of customer service, especially during a slow time of the day. Guess I will have to keep hoping that In-N-Out burger migrates up to Oregon. read more

They do one thing and one thing only: a chubby small 1/4 burger. They are delicious though and the truffle fries always great. The only real variation you can choose for the burger is the cheeses, including goat and blue, etc. Even though when you first get one it seems small, they are almost the perfect size Not too much and not too little. Always a mixed crowd including college students. They usually come medium rare, so ask if you want it cooked a little more. Be careful though not to have them overcook it and mess with the wonderful flavor of the quality meat they use. read more
