Home fries was deep fried potato nuggets. Bacon was also cold and hard like it was cooked hours ago. Coffee was ok. $17.57 for this breakfast. Way to high. I can get 3 eggs and a steerburger at iron skillet for about the same. Haven't been out here in a long time and was happy to be here again but highly dissatisfied with the food. They built on a new section so you are not just eating in the convenience store, there is a separate section for the restaurant. The quality of food seems to have gone up a lot as well. Absolutely unremarkable in every way, except 6 out of 14 tables needed bussing when we walked in. Lots of trash on floor. That is remarkable. Bad points: Seat yourself. Paper plates. Cello wrapped plastic utensils, get your own. While you are getting utensils, grab your own menu, too. Food was bland. Zero salt and pepper on ground beef steak. Package mashed potatoes. Canned gravy. Canned corn. Thin slits of lettuce for salad. Nothing popped with live or induced flavor, except for the ranch dressing, and it was tasty. Good points: food was hot. Lettuce was cold. Ice water contained ice. Ranch dressing tasty. BEAUTIFUL grill sear marks, but on a bland steak. Good meat texture. Two friendly staff out of six, two clueless cooks, and two who sat and poked phones and did no work. This place is in a truck stop but don't let that deter you. They have a retro diner feel inside, super cool. The service was so friendly and attentive. We wanted for nothing. We had chips and salsa, fajitas, and chicken enchiladas. Let me tell you this is some of the best Mexican food I've had. Especially the salsa - amazing!!!!! I'm knocking off one star because everything is served on single use plastic and paper and styrofoam. It was kinda hard to eat our big servings of food and meats with tiny plastic forks. My first time here and I ordered the green chili burger with guacamole and a side of fried pickles. The Stephen (my husband) ordered the country fried steak with two eggs, hash browns, and a biscuit with gravy. Everything was delicious and the portions are huge. This place was an awesome hole in the wall find. It's located in a little truck stop place, and I do mean little. There's seating for maybe 20-25 people and the convenience store in the same building is tiny and cramped. Anyway, that doesn't take away from how awesome the food was at all. My husband got the ghost pepper cheese burger and it had a really good flavor, and the spiciness wasn't overpowering thanks to it being in dairy. I got the Melita's fajitas and it was delicious. It was only $12 for a whole skillet of chicken, peppers, and onions, a decent sized plate of rice and beans, three tortillas, a huge container of guacamole, and chips and salsa. Definitely worth the price since at most Mexican places, you'll pay $18. I'd definitely come back here on my way through. read more

I LOVE eating at Lisa's. You can never go wrong with the burgers or any of the breakfast plates. Service generally pretty quick. Mornings can be a little busy. Sometimes you might have to wait a bit for a table. Red chile very tasty. I always ask for the "chopped" when ordering the green. read more
