This coffee spot at Potrero hill is a slid spot to visit for crochets, they have different flavors every day, but they sell out fast. I prefer their cappuccinos, it's one of the best! The place is dog friendly and there is seating outside. Their drinks are not very sweet so if I have a sweet tooth make sure to ask for extra sweetness, for some of the lattes.
Really wanted to like this latte because it sounded and looked so good but unfortunately it fell flat on expectations. The latte didn't have any real sweetness to it despite it looking like it. I would say that it tasted more salty than sweet and that's not typically the flavor I would look for in a latte. Was kind of sad bc I was really excited to try a fall drink. I'd be possibly willing to try this spot again but not this drink.
Thoroughly impressed with my iced latte! My taste buds were happy dancing. The flavors/notes of the espresso are really yummy. I can't wait to go back!
This is not my first time going to this coffee shop -- their coffee is excellent. However, I met my girlfriend this morning for coffee and had a very unpleasant experience. I ordered a simple Americano, asked for some oat milk, and waited and waited and waited. When my coffee was finally ready, I picked up the cup and it was lukewarm, so I asked the barista to steam the Americano. She said sure and, with a snooty attitude, told me to ask for a Cortado next time so she could charge me more. I asked what the difference was, and while she explained, she proceeded to pour a tiny bit of steamed oat milk on top. My coffee continued to be lukewarm, and for $6.75 -- by the way, why is an Americano $6.75? For that price, I could have gone anywhere for a cup of coffee without the snooty attitude. I'm done. There are dozens of amazing coffee spots in San Francisco.
Small storefront not too much bigger than their Mission location. There's some outdoor patio seating which is nice, although not nearly enough seating for more than several people. Service was pretty quick for how many orders they were handling at a time. We got a cortado to share. Hard to judge the espresso alone since there was oat milk, but overall pretty solid cortado. Microfoam was nice and silky. Pricing comparable to other shops in SF at over $6 for a cortado (before tip and tax), but doesn't make it any easier to swallow. Not the best cup I've had, but better than other cafes in the Mission Bay/Portrero area IMO.
4.5 stars rounded up. If I like my coffee, it's gone in a few minutes, flat. Everytime I order an iced decaf Salted Maple Latte from Linea, the contents of my cup pull a disappearing act. The thick whipped cream, drizzled with maple syrup & sprinkled with salt, is the sweet component. The iced coffee is bitter & complex in the most delicious ways. Once I've licked up most of the whipped topping, I stir in the rest, & it makes for the most drinkable, perfectly sweet & salty drink. Worth the ~$9 price tag. Cool cafe with no indoor seating & wonderful cashier & baristas. Give Linea a try.
I've never been here before, but it's right down the street from where I'm staying. I usually go to Farley's a couple of blocks away, but I decided to give this place a try since it's a local neighborhood spot. It was about 12:45 p.m. when I went in--fairly quiet with just a few customers. The space is clean and very simplistic, with no indoor seating. There are only a few benches outside, so if it's raining, you won't have a place to sit. I ordered an iced Americano with a splash of milk, and they offered honey or sugar cane as sweeteners (I usually bring my own Stevia). The drink came in what looked like a medium size, comparable to national coffee chains, and cost a little over six dollars--which isn't bad for the area. The flavor was excellent: smooth, not burnt, and nicely balanced. It's a great place to stop for a quick espresso or afternoon coffee. Parking is fairly easy in this neighborhood--just keep an eye on the signs, since there's a two-hour limit on weekdays. On Saturdays, parking is free. Overall, Linea Coffee Roasting has good vibes, solid coffee, and a convenient location surrounded by other small shops and restaurants. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.
I think my coffee budget takes up ~30% of my eating out budget and even tho Philz takes the top spots (mmmm fresh chai), Linea and Spro are a very close second. I'm a sucker for a good latte with pretty latte art and this is one of my top spots. I am usually there close to 7am so there's hardly a line, service is quick being in and out ~5min. As for the ambiance, I like the industrial feel, it's just somewhat cold inside because of all the concrete and open space. I also love that they carry Neighbor Bakehouse pastries so I don't need to walk far down 3rd street to get my fix-- they serve a wide variety of pastries such as the everything croissant, pandan muffin, ginger pull apart and honey financier (my hubs' fav). It does cost a pretty penny which is why I only have it maybe once or twice a month at most. The quality is there, but it definitely is a treat whenever I visit.
Decided to stop here for some coffee while we waited for our table at Plow, which is only a few min walk away! The store smells so good with their fresh roasted coffee beans! They have such a large variety of roasted beans. ~the drink~ - Salted maple latte ($8.50): An iced latte topped with whipped cream, maple syrup, and malden salt! Love that the iced latte part is not too sweet since the whipped cream topping is sweet! I thought this drink would be overwhelmingly sweet, but it really wasn't! I would still consider a latte on the sweeter side, but I think it's a nice treat! The salt pairs super well with the whipped cream and sweetness of the maple syrup. ~overall~ This coffee shop is super clean and friendly! They also have some really nice benches on the outside to enjoy your coffee! I would say their prices are relatively reasonable. They seem to be using quality ingredients, so I think their prices are justified.
Linea made me start loving the taste of coffee. I had always found coffee to be bitter and sour, but I realized that they can be so smooth especially if you order the latte! Now I am very much a cappuccino person, but you can't go wrong with anything! Not a lot of seating outside and there's no indoor seating. I would grab a coffee with a friend and walk around the neighborhood! Staff is always so nice and even though there's usually a line, it goes by quite fast
Came here with some friends on a Saturday afternoon! Good: - Fast service! The coffee was ready almost instantaneously - Golden milk espresso latte was really good - good kick with the turmeric too. Pretty sweet too and it masked the coffee taste - Nice staff and the place is super cute inside - good ambiance Bad: - The price is pretty high - $10 for an oat milk coffee is crazy Overall a nice place to go with friends
Stopped by this coffee shop because my party had a long wait time to eat somewhere else nearby. The line wasn't too long, and actually was quite empty after we ordered. I ordered the cortado and it was delicious and gave me enough caffeine. However, I did not order other items, so not sure what to compare. My friends seemed to enjoy their drinks so I imagine it's a good spot. It is quite expensive (I paid $5.30) for a small cortado maybe not worth to some. Overall the experience was good, I can see how ordering drinks is slow (but we were not in a rush so not an issue for me particularly), because they take the order and the next customer does not go until the previous receives their drink. I do like how you don't actually have to enter as you just order right at the door, quite covid safe. read more

I like it, it's not my super favorite taste, but the staff is friendly and the service is pretty fast. The Mocha is not what I was expecting, maybe next time I'll have a different flavor. read more

Stopped by this cute coffee shop after brunch in Potrero. The cutest little coffee cups! The coffee was strong and not too sweet. There's small steps outside to sit and enjoy your morning cup, but no indoor seating atm read more

We stopped by here this morning, impromptu but intrigued by the long line outside the cafe. I got a cappuccino, and it definitely didn't disappoint. It was smooth and creamy, and came out at the perfect sipping temperature. I was a little surprised at how little it kicked though; I'm quite caffeine sensitive, but I barely felt it. Not complaining though! We also tried their blackberry pistachio croissant because it sounded super unique, and it was amazing. The croissant itself was exactly what you want, with a crispy flaky exterior and an airy soft interior. The filling was delicious too; sweet and jammy but with a little tang. They also had some delicious looking donuts that we'll definitely try next time! The one complaint was how long the wait was. There was probably 6 parties ahead of us, but we still ended up waiting almost 30 minutes. This is most likely because they take your order, prepare it, and only then do they take the next order. Most likely this is because of Covid precautions which I appreciate, but it did make the wait very long. Will definitely be back though!! read more

Drink was okay, the only problem I encountered was being shouted at by the barista male with curly hair.I felt embarrassed due to the fact that there were other customers there just staring at me. I accidentally picked up the wrong drink and put a straw on it and was going to take a sip but I did not which was when the barista shouted 3 x saying " excuse me excuse me it's not your drink". Like I understand it was my mistake for picking up the wrong drink, this was also my first time coming to this location and I am not familiar with the drink names. I really was looking forward to trying it out but the experience was just not good. read more
I drive by at least twice a week on my way to and from grocery shopping and on a whim decided to pull over for a latte this morning. There is usually a bit of a line which has piqued my interest for months. Simply put, it was the best latte I've had in recent memory. The espresso is perfectly roasted, velvety smooth, and perfectly complemented by the Strauss milk they use. There is no bitterness whatsoever. I drank 1/3 of it before I even arrived home, and I live less than 5 minutes away. I'll definitely return! read more

Worth the long line! The MOCHA was delicious. You could taste that quality chocolate was used. Just a DRIP COFFEE tastes noticeably better than other places. Maybe not "better," be for sure unique in its flavor. The SERVICE was excellent and kind (it was early, I was tired and misreading the bagel menu, and the guy was very patient with me). MIDNIGHT BAGELS: I got six poppyseed bagels, and I never want to get bagels anywhere else ever again. They are fully covered in poppyseeds, the inside is moist (weird for a bagel, but it works!), and they toast up perfectly. They will grind any of their BEANS for you, and you also get a free small coffee when you buy any beans. read more

Best coffee ever. I love their "light" roasts coffee. Going off and adding to another review; And yes once you go somewhere else to get coffee, you'll begin to notice the difference in quality that other coffee shops serve in comparison to Linea. Linea Caffé has a unique taste and it is wonderful. I came here on a Saturday today as well. these pictures are from another day. When ever I am in SF i come here because it's accessible to my driving route. It's just a short drive from N280 and there is short term parking in the neighborhood it serves. Linea on Mariposa is a beautiful location. Also, the Barista's are kind and welcoming. read more

Awesome coffee! I stopped by yesterday and got a large cup of the Ethiopia Kawo Kamina - it was perfect! They also have beans for sale as well as brewing equipment (Chemexes, kettles, V60s etc.). Also saw a selection of Neighbor Bakehouse Pastries at the counter. Will definitely stop by again! read more

I walked over in a Saturday morning to grab pastries and coffee. I've seen such great reviews and it's walking distance. I thought that there would be a line at 9am since Bay Area people wake up quite early. But no line! It was also a foggy, cold day. I got their iced oat milk latte. Very smooth and I could still taste the coffee. I bought some pastries to-go as well. They're from neighbor bakehouse, my favorite bakery in SF! Minus a star because it's a little expensive for the small cup of coffee. 2 lattes and three pastries for $35. read more

My partner got a drip (ethiopian) and I got an oat latte. When going to a top-shelf coffee roastery like linea, I'd recommend getting a drip coffee. This helps you to really appreciate the fine-tuning of grind size + brew time that the baristas must have put into this coffee to distinguish its unique flavor notes! They also had a great potato puff pastry. While I really loved sitting outdoors in their little parklet this morning, I hope they open up some indoor seating someday soon! read more

The pastry was delicious with a flaky outside but moist filling, balancing well. The chai latte lacked authenticity but as a spiced tea, it was still enjoyable. read more

Great coffee roaster, but no seating indoor or outdoor, and MULTIPLE dogs inside despite this sign posted on the door. Staff clearly saw them and don't give a shit about health code violations. Would buy their beans, but never coming back to this store. read more

This espresso is some of the best you'll find in the city. This is where the locals go to grab a high quality espresso. The Ethiopian Suke Quto is their best bean in my humble coffee opinion. It has a nice balanced finish to it with a slight vanilla hue to it, at least that's what I taste! It's some good espresso. read more
