One thing to note is having just moved we had a lot of furniture/stuff that had to be moved around during the process. I got a hold of Fantastic Floors and Joe came out and did some measurements. On time, helpful, very detailed and honest about what to expect. I had an idea of what I wanted to spend as this was a decent sized job... 2 bedrooms/office/upstairs hallway and landing/downstairs entryway/hallway/kitchen/dining room and living room. We also wanted carpeting on the stairs. We picked out what we wanted for flooring and carpet, Sandra was nothing short of amazing, and we were off to the races. The quote they gave was right on par with what I was looking to spend. It was a big job and there's always the possibility of issues coming up and this was no different. The timing of this job roughly took 2 weeks because of unseen and unfortunate circumstances. It was a little challenging for all of us but Sandra and Joe came through and got the job done. They even threw in some rugs made out of carpet remnants, that we got to choose, as they felt bad on the length of the job. Needless to say the floors came out amazing. Sandra, as mentioned earlier, was amazing to work with from beginning to end and Joe made sure everything was done to our liking. He initially told me that they're not the cheapest nor the most expensive, they'll usually fall in the middle somewhere but they'll go the extra mile to make sure you're happy with the finished product... they were right. I can't recommend Fantastic Floors enough and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. If you're looking to update your flooring, give them a shot... they're definitely worth it.

I also let him know I was interested in kitchen redesign so that I could have a bigger fridge but he didn't seem interested and just went back to the powder room. When he was done, he said it would take about two weeks for a quote but I may need to reach out to him again. I asked if he had a card and he said no, then left. That was on June 11 and now it's July 28. If a business wants my business, they would send a quote. Maybe my little job isn't worth their time because business is booming, who knows. When your gut tells you they aren't interested, listen to your gut.

We were initially recommended to a few contractors that specialized in restoration from leaks but started to feel uncomfortable with the process and like they were all trying to take advantage of us via the insurance claim. A neighborhood Facebook group pointed us to Chermak with consistent reports of them having great service, but also a fair price and staying on time and on budget. I was quickly connected to Angel the project manager and she was able to come out to our house that week for an inspection. She immediately built trust with us and showed a genuine care for wanting to get us back into our home (we had been out already for 3 months). We trusted our gut and quickly got to work with Angel and Chermak and getting the ball rolling on the scope of work to be done and approved by our insurance company. And to risk the obvious pun here, Angel was an Angel, there's no way this would have gone how it did without her, for all that she manages and does she's very efficient and good at her job and really absorbs a lot of the stress and difficulty that is common to this kind of work. She also was very reasonable with us in not upselling, offering suggestions where things could be easier or money better spent, which helped with our trust. Fast forward to the working starting EARLY (which was a good thing) and not only completing on time but even a week EARLY than what was planned, so exciting for us. Kim from the design team helped us get our plans together for the bathrooms to achieve what we really wanted out of them and set the plans in place. Tyler was our GC for the 8 weeks of restoration and I selfishly don't want to tell everyone how good he is because then everyone will want him. We were concerned about having so many people in our home and around our stuff, but he so quickly made us feel comfortable and was adopted into the family. He also really listened to us and understood our wants, needs and particular requests as the bathrooms were constructed, he knew it was important to us things be done the right way and was willing to take the time to see it through. He's also just an all-around good dude and we miss having him here. I've given many referrals since our job wrapped to other prospective clients for Chermak and we intend to hire them again when it's time to remodel our kitchen. Our job was not without any issues but they were determined to do the right thing and see us be happy with the end result, which is a really great experience in this kind of arrangement.
